HELLO ! so i’m gonna document my interview experience here for those of you who are new to this video (like i was) so that you can have a current representation of how the process was: 1. The tips here were spot on. Many people didn’t have the correct backgrounds, attire, or name set up (all of which was in our invite email)! i feel like i stood out because I was prepared! Me and one of the recruiters looked almost as if we were in the same room! 2. There were 30 ppl in the Teams meeting and we all got a chance to speak. They first asked everyone in alphabetical order what our names were, what city we lived in, and what we enjoyed doing in that city. they then went backwards in the list and asked everyone unique situational questions. (mine, for example, was how i deal with losing motivation.) I suggest getting familiar with common STAR questions because it’ll come in handy ( some ppl weren’t really prepared :( ) 3. Make sure to be enthusiastic like this great video recommends! You’d be surprised how many people were very monotone and seemingly unhappy to be there. we had one minute MAX to answer our question, also. 4. this is just me but i only had two men in my group interview! i think that’s a huge leg up in the sense that you stand out automatically. I’ll update you guys on how long it took for me to hear back from them (they said 10-14 days) and whether I got invited to a F2F. It is March 13th, 2024 when i’m writing this, for reference! ✈️ update one: got invited for my face to face on the same day after my interview!

I had my virtual interview 5 days ago and at the end they said they would get back to everyone in about 7-10 business days but legit the next day I got the invitation for my F2F interview! I must have killed the interview for them to get back that quick!

I got invited for an in person interview the next day after my virtual interview. I wish I found this video sooner, but thankfully I had common sense for the virtual interview part. I was in a suit, smiled, I was naturally happy and excited. I had good lighting and a clear background. I will get flown out November 13, 2024 for my in person interview. I’m praying I get a CJO.

I just had my VI wednesday! I am so nervous I was super underdressed compared to the other men who were in suits! Ugh i hope my personality shines through and I’ll get the F2F!! I wish I would’ve seen this video beforehand! Thanks for all the tips!

You should be good with the passport. Apply right away though! Once you get you CJO (offer) they will do a background check which will give you some time, after that clears you'll be given a training date. 🥂 so happy for you!!!

I have a nose ring that I am planning to remove if I'm called for the F2F interview. Would you recommend i remove it for the Virtual one as well?? I know this sounds like a silly "duh" question.

Hi, good luck & thanks for watching!! 🤗Be sure to subscribe if you haven’t done so yet as I have more videos coming. To answer your question, bases depend on the airline and their needs at the time. Commuting is an option which a lot of people do to get to their base. Videos is something I think the younger generation is just more used to creatinh or apt to do. I dont think there is any correlation to who the airlnes are hiring so stay positive!! I’ve heard of people in their 60s going through training. Keep me posted and good luck again!! 💙✈️

Did my face to face group interview yesterday. Was part of the first group escorted out, I take it I probably won’t get the job? Heard something about other doing a lift test and drug test.
Always stay positive! I have heard of the airlines switching things up sometimes & people getting calls after but most likely, it's time to make a note of when you can reapply & move forward onto your next airline! ✈️

Yay! So exciting!! My thoughts are on the passport... If you can afford it, it a probably worth expediting it. Is it 100% necessary? I don't know because it depends how quick your process goes, every airline is different and everyone has a different experience but you don't want your passport to delay you if you do get an offer for training, so I'd say if you can afford it, spend the money to ease your stress and set you up for success 🎉😀

@@ellahsasha5351 have your passport and resume out. They will ask for your passport. You’ll go upstairs you’ll play a game with your group. The game is pretty fun it lets you get to know others. There will be recruiters walking around watching how you interact with your team mates. Just have fun and share the project. After game is over there will be 2 recruiters that will come to the table one at a time and ask one question each to everyone at the table everyone gets asked a different question. The questions are behavioral questions. Once done they leave and show a presentation about the company and the pay. Recruiters come back in calls names. They called a first group of some really good candidates. So everyone thought we was all in the clear that wasn’t the case. They called a 2nd group that I was apart of. And they showed us the door and said we will contact you in 5-7 business days. But all around it was a good experience I liked it and will apply again. You got this go get that CJO ♥️🎉
Hi! I have my VGI with AA tomorrow!!! 🥹 So a few things i’m worried about I am 5’0 on the dot and also I have a arm sleeve tattoo that stops above my wrist & then on my other wrist on the inside i have a rose tattoo. With that being said I am willing to wear long sleeve everyday to keep them covered. Is that okay or will they disqualify me if I make it to the F2F? I heard they ask you if you have tattoos and you can either tell them no if they aren’t visible or yes and you’ll be sent home. Thanks in advance!!

@@flywithLiz thank you For your video!! Had virtual group interview this morning with AA and boy was it a BIG group. They actually asked the questioned you mentioned about what item you would pack etc. that was the 1st thing, then everyone got a random different question. It was actually a lot of fun, good learning experience to be able to hear all the questions they asked different people. Don’t think any question was recycled, some were simple and some were tough where people got stuck or stumbled thru. Just prepare, study, apply your personal previous experiences and you should be fine. Lastly I’m surprised how many people didn’t smile or get dressed up!

@@jle5734 You got this. And yeah I would say that virtual wasn’t to easy and yeah they are known to be really picky. But don’t give up apply for American Airlines also and United. If you haven’t I already applied to American and had a face to face but was the 2nd group that was shown the door. But I’m not giving up 😂 at all I will re-apply for them again in 3 months 😊

@@flywithLiz thank you so much! celebrated with drinks and dinner🎉🍸 and just applied for my passport since i need it before training. How long usually after the f2f does training start? I won’t be getting my passport for about 5 weeks. I hope that’s okay?
You should be good with the passport. Apply right away though! Once you get you CJO (offer) they will do a background check which will give you some time, after that clears you'll be given a training date. 🥂 so happy for you!!!

I have a nose ring that I am planning to remove if I'm called for the F2F interview. Would you recommend i remove it for the Virtual one as well??
I know this sounds like a silly "duh" question.
Thanks for watching & reaching out. Not a dumb question at all- actually a really good question. My thoughts are if you're gonna remove it for the F2F, why not remove it for the virtual as well. Commuting is an option which a lot of people do to get to their base. Videos is something I think the younger generation is just more used to creatinh or apt to do. I dont think there is any correlation to who the airlnes are hiring so stay positive!! I’ve heard of people in their 60s going through training. Keep me posted and good luck again!! 💙✈️

Did my face to face group interview yesterday. Was part of the first group escorted out, I take it I probably won’t get the job? Heard something about other doing a lift test and drug test.
Always stay positive! I have heard of the airlines switching things up sometimes & people getting calls after but most likely, it's time to make a note of when you can reapply & move forward onto your next airline! ✈️

✈️ thank you for this, I just applied and I’m preparing now. I have an appointment to get my passport on Saturday. Do you think I should get it expedited just in case?
Yay! So exciting!! My thoughts are on the passport... If you can afford it, it a probably worth expediting it. Is it 100% necessary? I don't know because it depends how quick your process goes, every airline is different and everyone has a different experience but you don't want your passport to delay you if you do get an offer for training, so I'd say if you can afford it, spend the money to ease your stress and set you up for success 🎉😀

Do you know what they screen for on applications to land the virtual interview?
I do not, but I know most companies use AI to screen resumes so my best guess is key words. If you are interested, I review, give tips & help with resumes. DM me on Instagram if you would like more info @fly.with.liz ✍️👩💻

@@ellahsasha5351 have your passport and resume out. They will ask for your passport. You’ll go upstairs you’ll play a game with your group. The game is pretty fun it lets you get to know others. There will be recruiters walking around watching how you interact with your team mates. Just have fun and share the project. After game is over there will be 2 recruiters that will come to the table one at a time and ask one question each to everyone at the table everyone gets asked a different question. The questions are behavioral questions. Once done they leave and show a presentation about the company and the pay. Recruiters come back in calls names. They called a first group of some really good candidates. So everyone thought we was all in the clear that wasn’t the case. They called a 2nd group that I was apart of. And they showed us the door and said we will contact you in 5-7 business days. But all around it was a good experience I liked it and will apply again. You got this go get that CJO ♥️🎉
Hi! I have my VGI with AA tomorrow!!! 🥹 So a few things i’m worried about I am 5’0 on the dot and also I have a arm sleeve tattoo that stops above my wrist & then on my other wrist on the inside i have a rose tattoo. With that being said I am willing to wear long sleeve everyday to keep them covered. Is that okay or will they disqualify me if I make it to the F2F? I heard they ask you if you have tattoos and you can either tell them no if they aren’t visible or yes and you’ll be sent home. Thanks in advance!!

@@flywithLiz thank you For your video!! Had virtual group interview this morning with AA and boy was it a BIG group. They actually asked the questioned you mentioned about what item you would pack etc. that was the 1st thing, then everyone got a random different question. It was actually a lot of fun, good learning experience to be able to hear all the questions they asked different people. Don’t think any question was recycled, some were simple and some were tough where people got stuck or stumbled thru. Just prepare, study, apply your personal previous experiences and you should be fine. Lastly I’m surprised how many people didn’t smile or get dressed up!

@@jle5734 You got this. And yeah I would say that virtual wasn’t to easy and yeah they are known to be really picky. But don’t give up apply for American Airlines also and United. If you haven’t I already applied to American and had a face to face but was the 2nd group that was shown the door. But I’m not giving up 😂 at all I will re-apply for them again in 3 months 😊
