- This is a great hat that inspires confidence. I feel my head has the best protection wearing it. The stiff polycarbonate outer contains a well padded interior and the single handed adjustment is quick and easy to operate ensuring a snug and comfortable fit. The two adjustable side vents allow for a variety of ventilation options.
The powerful headlight charges up via USB and indicator lights show the level of charge in the battery. The three light arrays cover most illuminating circumstances and the tilt mechanism is used to obtain exactly the right position. It was not magnetic, as advertised, because there was no backside pad. The design is thoughtful with accessory positions front, back and at both sides so the hat can be equipped with lights and ear defenders or a visor. It looks pretty cool too! Find it on the Home Depot website by searching for this reference number, 316004361.
Awesome review👍
Thanks for watching, joe. There are many more review and how to videos on my channel. Please like, subscribe and share.
This should be part of the sparky starter pack.
Good idea ... Or maybe a safety starter pack. Have you let Klein Tools know?
That hard hat is a lot colder in the winter when you have no hair lol 🥶
It depends on where the wearer is in the winter. The hat provides protection in all seasons too!
I have one, but the only issue I have (which is a major one for me) is the suspension, no matter how much I adjust it makes it ride so low the back of the helmet digs into my head. Not good if you get bumped back there because it kills
Mmm, that's a real concern isn't it! Aside from going over all basic set up points in the video and user manual, images.thdstatic.com/catalog/pdfImages/f9/f9a4b09f-2465-5604-8043-cf6c60aa8d21.pdf. Maybe check if anything is broken or missing from the hat/suspension? Has it always been like this?
@@PicRic it has, but its an otherwise comfortable helmet. I checked and looked up the replacement suspension pictures and it looked the same as my set up. Like I said I like the hat just might not fly if an SO spots me with it
@@junglejustice1783 In that case maybe give Klein Tools a call. I did a quick look around t'internet & find that, per manual, the setup can be a bit out causing issues. Maybe double check that and check on the wear and tear aspects. I think I saw somewhere about reversing hat use but can't find it now. Any luck your side? Let me know how you get on, will you? A good solution to a common problem explained better could be just the kind of things subscribers appreciate.
Hi, about to buy it, but on my site mines have to have chin strap included. Would be nice to know if this hard hat can be used with chin strap…. Thanks
Great question, Mi! Yes, this hard hat can be used with a chin strap. Find it on the Home Depot website by searching for this reference number, 311394697. Klein part number, KHHSTRP.
I wonder if the train would come in through those vents
I am guessing you mean "rain", MrDawnzo. Is that right? Well, yes, of course, it may do if you want it to. Where and how are you using/intending to use yours?
Do you get tan lines on your head from the vented ?
Nice review 👍
Ha, ha. Not yet, I tend to be moving around but I guess if I stood still in one place all the time there is a slight chance.
😅
the rotating clicker that tightens is so fucking unfortable. feels like something stabbing the back of your head. gonna return my hard hat
I find mine to be very comfortable so maybe yours is faulty in some way. Return it and get another.
