    Are the side pieces for the accessories removable?

    I just got mine. Feels good. Also they really should provide a chin strap. I had to order it extra. They improved the front forehead padding. This company is responsive. There is some fine print (microscopic print) under the screw down tension adjustment knob.

      How’s the depth of the hard hat?

    • @exexpat11
      @exexpat11 Рік тому +1

      @@KeyyyLB About 3 inches. The profile is smaller but feels like most hard hats when wearing it except for the wonderful comfort. Also the cell material is much stiffer than I thought it would be. I thought it would be like gel. One Inch of rigid vertical waved honeycone material to absorb the shock.

    Follow up , after months of wearing this contraption a coworker set his wavecell on a trash can mounted to the outhouse , probably about chest height , when he came out of the outhouse his wavecell was on the ground, the wavecell had fallen off the trash can the back vent cap had popped out and the hat itself was cracked, not an isolated incident as another coworker took off his hat and dropped it on the concrete from chest height 2 times with the same exact result. Not good.

    This is not a hard hat , it is a contraption. This guy must work for wavecell, been wearing for six months , this is the most uncomfortable torture device ever forced upon my head , makes a busy 8 hour day feel like a slow 12 hour day with bosses watching. The adjustment dial has a knob on the inside covered with thin plastic that drills into the back of my skull to my brain , the back of my head is raw. The hat sits high on my head and feels like its going to fall off if I don't crank it tight. This thing sits directly on your head no shock absorption if you take a blow you will feel it for sure , if you take a side blow your head will move with the hit, I don't see how these are even legal. The accessory clips on the side get caught on orange fencing and on wires or any thing that will fit in the groove. The ones with the chin strap are even more dangerous can get caught on rebar or even be potentially fatal if rigging fails and catches the strap. Strap breaks at 24 lbs , 23,lbs can do some damage. For the price of one dangerous hat you can get 8 reliable fibermetal hats. There's your honest review thumbs down.

      Nope. Don't work for the company. I've been using it for over a year now. There are good and bad points. It holds sweat and stinks like nobody's business pretty quick. I clean the foam weekly and use a head beanie to combat this problem. Other issue is the vent cover. It's fragile. Mine broke in a similar fashion as the other guy but Wavecel folks are top notch. They replaced the whole helmet not just the vent. That kind of service is what makes me a lifetime customer. As for wearability, it is very comfortable imo. That's subjective though. We have a lot of guys wearing these at work now. It's more likes I believe than dislikes. It's not as cool (ventilated) as suspension hats but your trading that for safety? If I worked outside 100% of the time i may have to find something a little lighter and cooler but I'm ok with that. I appreciate our country and happy it's 100% USA designed and made.
