"Lee, if you really want to wow the crowds with evidence that will back your book? Try using info from various sources, besides only the bible, and you'll be on track. I did with my book "The Black Atheist in America!"
+Jason Winn "The time ,energy, and money used to build and support the church could be redirected to assist in supporting the community." No! I got that quote from looking up your book and let me explain why, from a quote from Saint Paul "For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building. 10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon" (1st Corinthians 3:9,10). As it relates to ministers, they, we are to build carefully on the foundation Jesus laid. Next we are to teach others on how to build in relation to the church, who are the people of God. Not just the shepherds, but the sheep are to labor in the master's vineyard for they are a part of God's vineyard. What we have seen in historical Christianity is a reflection of all the triumphs and tragedies of the human race, i.e. how we have built on Christ's foundation this side of glory. Sadly all has not been triumphant. And all has not been of tragedy either. Christ's victory in our lives can be marked with human error, sin and just plain cowardice. That does not nullify who He (Jesus) is! Now let me (not open hand slap) but gently nudge, if I can the atheistic error from my point of view. And if comes simply from this, the call for righteousness, a strongly Biblical idea. Men are looking for just societies and when they see blatant hypocrisy by those professing Almighty God, it gives them more than enough ammunition to justify why they say there can't be a God. Fortunately for us believers the Scriptures show us a just God and eternal kingdom for "whosoever will" regardless of the sins of men, hence being self correcting. We men play a dangerous game (see David Carradine in the old movie the Long Riders after he was caught) and it deals with our eternal souls. And sadly we play this game with religious or secular robes on...the Lord is at hand whether we believer or not. And shame on any of us who deny Him with robes on or not, because it will be a terrible and awesome day because we all our lives had a chance to believe and respond in faith only to repeatedly reject His Love, grace and truth. The human experience is tainted with triumphs and tragedies, but overall we need salvation and that is simply provided by God through His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, who loves us and gave Himself for us (Galatians 2:20). As humans to put our trust in anything or anyone else is fools gold, for Christ's foundation is sure.
It seems to me strange that all of these extremely local predictions have come to pass (only within the book's version of events), yet so many obvious details are wrong or contradictory. Why does only one gospel state that Mary had multiple children? Isn't that important, even essential information? Why multiple perspectives if they were being divinely conveyed? If this is the word of god, it is indistinguishable from a obvious, exploitative compilation to defraud gullible Israelites.
This is something I have never quite understood. As a part of a religious organization say like LDS. How can you say that Joseph Smith is a prophet of God if he teaches anything other than that which Jesus teaches. Jesus clearly states that if anybody comes after him and preaches a diffract gospel then his, this new man is a fraud and should not be listened to. Joseph Smith may claim to be with Christ but Christ does not validate Joseph Smith .
@cindybin2001 Now do understand this though, Im not saying your going to Hell or anything because Jesus is the way, the Son of God who was sacrificed for our sins to atone for them. If you agree with that, I believe you can be wrong just about everywhere else and still go to Heaven!
@cindybin2001 You said you already know... I dont put down anyone but Their no reason to believe the book of Mormon especially since it contradicts with the bible
Is this suppose to be evidence for Jesus? You have just given the Atheist all the data they need to doubt Jesus. It is mathematically impossible that Jesus was the Messiah. If it is mathematically impossible, then it is reasonable to doubt. Unless, you are a Christian then Logic does not apply. It is mathematically impossible for Jesus to be the Messiah: Christian response, So you know it is true. LOL Odds against Jesus being the Messiah? Trillions, and Trillions and Trillions etc.
Almost too perfect, as if the four apostles of the New Testament, who wrote their stories decades after the ministry of Christ, had read all those prophecies and tailored the perfect one that would fulfill all of them... 60 or 70 years later... Not to sound glib,... but using a four to six thousand year old contested text to justify a two thousand year old contested text doesn't seem to be the best avenue to approach the factual truth... Especially since many other, much older, texts from around the world from various faiths describe very similar (almost identical) themes about their chosen "God Men"... This video may be useful to fundamentalist Christians, but it is not evidence that is credible by non-fundamentalist-Christian standards... This does not mean that the core messages have no merit, however: Judge not. Love thy neighbor. Love your enemy. Love is the fulfillment of the law. All else merely clouds any hope of finding the actual proof of the man and his deeds... With respect...
+Jesse Yandow The problem with that view is even though the stories where not written down until about 20 years after Jesus' death, the stories where already going around verbally. You can find evidence for that in Roman history Jesus' death, and the NT...
@DreadStorm See the heresy It doesn't contradict in many passages, that doesn't make up for the ones that do. The bible is real clear to avoid false prophets. The bible is the final authority and if your books contradicts it at all its completly wrong! All it would take for me to throw the book of mormon in the trash is the teaching you can have more than 1 wife and the bible say only 1. Im sorry your book is fake!
Maber I can only laugh at the absolutely horrible argument you presented. The point of this video is that it is impossible that jesus could fulfill all these prophecies without divinity. But since he did it proves his divinity. You take misrepresenting information to a whole new level, and I hab
It is said, You shall know the Truth and the Truth will make you Free. Know The Truth.
lt doesn't say who or when, some one read it and put some guy to it, they are making the person fit the evidence.

Hard to believe a former atheist could recognize his spirituality, fallen state, and need for a Savior, huh? I know what you mean.
