Young people only think of Barkley as a pundit on Inside the Nba.....what a shame they never got to see this man and what a dog he was! These throwback Nba channels are golden....Put some Respect on these old school Legends names!
I hate when people look back and say that Barkley didn't deserve the MVP award that year because of MJ. Yes the heck he did! His first year in Phoenix he leads that Suns team to the best record in the league, without his 2nd best teammate Kevin Johnson for 33 of the 76 games Barkley himself played in that season. He deserved that!
This game is often remembered for Phoenix shooting a whopping 64 free throws (28 more than Seattle) but Seattle benefitted from some very questionable calls that went in their favor in that game 7 OT battle against Houston to help them even reach this point, so ultimately things kinda evened out.
One of the most dubiously reffed games in nba playoff his. I don't feel bad for Seattle in retrospect......they were benefactors of some dubious refereeing to win game 7 vs Houston in the previous series!!
brings back A LOT of memories...sigh. I rem this like yesterday. Chuck was one of my fav players and personalities then. Those Suns & Sonics jersey's are fire though. The west was soooo good during the 90s. Suns-Sonics, Sonics-Rockets, Rockets-Suns, Jazz-Spurs, Jazz-Sonics, Jazz-Suns, Jazz-Rockets, Spurs-Rockets...so many rivalries.
What a season for Barkley. No doubt he’d won a championship if he hadn’t run into a prime Jordan and then a prime Olajuwon. That 3 year window for the Suns was their best chance.
Your joking right 😅 Phoenix barely made it to the NBA finals.. in both 1994 & 1995 Phoenix choked to Houston twice. Phoenix wasn't good enough to win a ring
One helluva series. Barkley played in a better situation in Phoenix than he did in Philly because the Suns had better talent around him such as thunder Dan and KJ unlike Philly which who has a history of not building good in the draft around their star player. P.S.: The NBA are likely going to return to NBC after next season.
Yea they definitely didn't protect home court against the Bulls, but what's even more crazy is that the only 2 games they won in the finals was IN Chicago. The only game they lost in Chi was a wire to wire game that came down to the final minute, where Jordan had to score 55 points for them to survive.
love it, back then you could just say 'fuck you' to your opponent and the refs didn't call techs, they let things ride unless it was blatantly over the top, 90s nba was 50 times better than current nba
Barkley was listed as 6ft7 but he really was 6ft5 maybe 6ft4 and to dominate at the power forward was incredible to watch just imagine if he was Tim Duncan height we can difinetively say the bulls most likely would have lost because of his skill level plus height

👍
They have no clue how fast Barkley was, how high he jumped, how well he passed and rebounded and how well he dribbled.
44 and 24….. what a performance
If you look deeper into the 93 playoffs, Barkley had some ridiculous statlines
And choked alot
@@melvynsngltn27that was more Kevin Johnson
This is the best he ever played and should be seen by anyone who picks up a basketball. Thanks!
👍
Watching Chuck rebound is an art in itself, 6’4 round mound of cleaning glass in prolific fashion
Man Barkley was a BEAST on the court!! So relentless and motivated!! Wish he would've won a ring.
Barkley is a boss!
Basketball when it was at its best
These young bucks need to take notes...this is how a superstar shows up to play in a game 7..
Young bucks are too pampered and spoon fed
Dude the crowds were way more intense back then holy shit
Bcuz no one was on their Cell Phones
This is the 2nd best playoff game from Charles Barkley, only behind the 56PTS and 14REB vs the Warriors in 1994.
Crazy enough I’d put this over that 56pt game just due to the circumstances.

Crazy enough I think he deserved it over Magic in 1990.
@@kik5323 Oh I agree! 89-90 was actually Barkley at his absolute peak IMO. He was still great in Phoenix but he had a better cast around him.
Phoenix had an entire offensive team but no defense.
@@Riles3152yup unlike Philly

Seattle did not help themselves when they blew game 3 at home (after stealing game 2 in the desert!) and they easily could have won game 5.

Thank you so much for your channel. I love reliving these games and the great NBA on NBC intro’s. You have the best channel by far.

Sixers did not draft well around Barkley

This would the Suns' last postseason home win of 1993.

@@Riles3152 very strange series as far as the home court advantage went
@@Riles3152 Also, during the regular season each team won on the other team's court.

2020s are sensitive
Chuck took the Reign Man to school in this game.
wow this was incredible. Did Kemp have a good game at least in this one?
Kemp struggled with foul trouble all game, couldn't get it going and fouled out with 18 pts
Can You Upload More 1994-1995 Phoenix Suns Basketball Games MDBball
Yes hopefully more Suns games to come
Could you upload Suns @ Sonics Game 6 WCF please?
There's some other games I'm working on atm but yes I' should def get to this one thanks

💯💯💯
Suns had 44 free throws in this game. Not disrespecting Chuck but this game is fixed
League wanted a MJ vs Chuck NBA finals in 93
Which is more exciting to watch bulls vs suns or bulls vs sonic?
I don’t blame the league rigging it for suns
best nikes ever
