Quake mod Install guide - Doom 2016 Deconstructed Slayer's Testaments

- Slayer's Testaments is an attempt to have that Doom 2016 vibe but in the OG Quake engine. All you will need to run the the mod is a copy of Quake.

to run it just extract the Slayer test folder to the quake directory . Don't bother with the bundled version of quakegasm they included because it doesn't seem to like the 64 bit version of windows . use my 2 in 1 bundle or just DL QS direct

Wow man. Ah i see its like the ZDL for gzdoom. --big thx again!! Your mod tutorials here are amazing. (iam very new in this mod-ding buizz. Just blown away by the brutal doom universe and the arkane dimensions)....... Since many years i didnt felt so much fun with computer-games as i now do with those mods. And its a big growing universe. A multiverse!! ;)

Forget the moddb version tho, that's outdated. You have three nigh-full campaigns not two demo maps for Acts 2 and 3. Simply use these links instead, and install in this order:
Installation (extract into quake directory, don't overwrite older versions) - MAIN RELEASE:

Now, install these OVER what you've just extracted.

Blinking flip woke up this morning to a new update of the mod ...however it's super crashy for me. never mind I'll put the link in the description for you...
Yes that update was out prior to the Oyff video, just not on moddb till now. Remember it's a fresh install so rename the old Slayertest directory first.

Note: Don't bother with quakespasm in Hipp's file, the mod will crash whenever you encounter a lost soul. Making it unplayable past level 1. I suggest keeping the launcher but ditching quakespasm and getting quakespasm spiked, it has better graphics and allows you to play more of the mod.

for me my crosshair doesn't work when i turn it on it keeps on turning it off

Edit: Do I put all the files in the Steam local files of Quake or in that Bethesda Launcher you were using?
eh ? what I wasn't using a bethesda launcher...forget steam you wanna stick the files in the quake folder

Does this work with the new Quake Remastered? And while playing the mod, do you use the mouse for aiming or is it full on keyboard controls?

@@goosevv1068 I've haven't tried it , give it a go the same way I did here and see if it works
It's the same, use the Steam game folder (E:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Quake) (the drive may vary depending on the one you're using, in my case it's E:)
If you're downloading the updated version of the mod, make sure to put all the elements from the "Slayer Test" folder into the "Slayer" folder.
