Before listening to Dr. Charles Stanley's sermon on "Reasons to obey God" I recently had an epiphany, or perhaps it was the Holy Spirit telling me that I didn't have to deliberately sin against God. That it was simply a choice. Having a sinful nature is one thing, while being in rebellion against the Most High God is a choice. God help me to make the right choice.
Prayer Focus: God, I ask You in Jesus’ name bless me with the desire, strength, wisdom, and spirit of obedience to obey You, Your Word, and Your will for my life. Transform and renew my mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. So that I can and will walk in VICTORY as I hear and obey Your voice and Word. God let Your blessing overtake me as You have promised in Deuteronomy 28:2-13, because I obey You. God all that I have asked of You in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of this prayer and all those I love and care about. Holy Spirit help each of us to trust God and walk in obedience to God's voice and Word even when it is hard, or we don't want to. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith it is so. Thank You Jesus. Amen.

The scripture says, “He goes before us and makes the crooked places straight.” That means what should be overwhelming is no problem at all. What looks complicated, you don’t see a solution, suddenly things will fall into place. You don’t have the connections, you don’t know the right people, but out of nowhere, someone steps in and shows you favor. You thought it was going to be a long, drawn-out process, but it turned out easier than it looked.
Even if things are hard and drawn out, if you follow him, trust in him and obey him, he’ll give you the strength and the guidance necessary to get you through to the finish line nonetheless. But you have to do your part and that’s trusting in him, he can only help you as much as you’re willing to let him. If you’re finding it hard to trust in him, make more conditions to God, pray more to him to change your heart, change your desires from bad to good, give you bravery, etc. If you’re struggling, it’s not a reason to give in and give up, it’s even more of a reason to reach out to God

@@noelle4145 No problem, what I meant by that, tho I may not have worded it the best, I meant that in hard times we especially feel like giving up and perhaps going the easier route, rather than the route God wants us to take and so in order to make sure we continue to keep strong with God, we need to reach out to him more, pray to him more, ask him for help more, read his word more, etc. in order to keep strong in him and continue to follow his will
Praise the Lord. May the Lord return quickly. Amen. God is merciful. He always forgives. Never be ashamed to take your failures to him. He is for you, not against you! God is with you in the storm. He knows your troubles, he hears you! He is for you, on your side, always! It may feel silent at times, but he’s holding you close! May the Lord return soon! We are drawing closer. He is coming! Believe and trust in the Lord, you will be saved. Period. May the Lord bless you all! Hang in there family. Stay strong. It is not easy following the Lord. We are scoffed at. We give up our earthly dreams, our fleshly desires. What the enemy offers is short lived, but heaven is forever! Life may seem or be unfair, but God is with you! Always remember that. Things may get better or worse for you, but a kingdom awaits you! Finish the race! Repent daily and carry your cross. This world is fading fast. Your troubles are temporary! I wish I had known God the way I do now and had that close relationship WAY earlier in my life!!! I spent the majority of my life being afraid. I could have avoided so many things I thought would fix my problems but just ended up making them worse. Thank you God for loving and saving us! 🙏
We as children of God must learn to Starve our Sinful Flesh and Feed into The Holy Spirit Abundantly. We must have Obedience Submission Humility Redemption Conviction Belief Great Faith and a Personal Relationship with Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ 🙏🏾✝️💖

god is not a condemning god or ask that we ''obey ''him, he doesn't sit there with a little black book marking off all your sins, we are here to learn and god waits patiently until you learn right, god loves you more than anybody can fathom, more than your own mother and father, and never condemns, that is the idea and philosophy of man, not god- this is my good message.
This is only true for the Christians though, God will most certainly condemn most people including many who call themselves Christians, he is abounding in love, grace and patience but he also disciplines those he loves.
God does want us to obey Him. He knows whats best for us. And there are scriptures in the Bible about obeying Him. I Haven’t always obeyed but i saw later I should have because things would have worked out better if I had.

I've learned sin is only good for a season and when we live out side of God's will even hoping for our earthly good outcome we try to steer the ship but the wages for sin are very costly death I want life in my savior Christ

Amen. ❤️🙏 Glory to God!🙌 Truly, obeying God is indeed challenging because man's desires are most of the time not aligned in His will but as we get to know Him deeper and able to establish a genuine relationship and fellowship with Him, we learn to obey Him. Not only because it's due and the right thing to do but because He deserves everything from us. After all, He alone knows what's best for us. We just can't fully understand the way He works because His thoughts and ways are far better and higher than us. That's why all we need is to obey, surrender, and trust because were mere humans and we're subject to Him. Hence apart from Him, we are nothing. As it is written, Trust in the Lord with all your heart, on your own intelligence rely not. In all your ways be mindful of Him and He will make straight your paths. It is even furthered, For my thoughts are not your thoughts nor are your ways My ways, says the Lord. As high as the heavens are above the earth so high are My ways above your ways, and My thoughts above your thoughts.
What an important message this is! May we Apply it to our lives. Pastors who deliver mainly 'feel good' sermons like Osteen should teach obedience more. People I know who listen primarily to 'feel good' sermons seem to cuss a lot ,take God's name in vain, and don't seem to place much importance on obedience to Almighty Loving God . Just an observation.

When you study the Bible you get to learn about the character of God, especially in the New Testament with the character of Jesus. Another thing I try to do is pray and ask God for help and then I wait on Jesus. If I hear nothing, I repeat it. God often speaks through conscience or even outside events that sweep away problems that I have been praying about.

How do you know what God wants you to do so you don’t disobey?
When you study the Bible you get to learn about the character of God, especially in the New Testament with the character of Jesus. Another thing I try to do is pray and ask God for help and then I wait on Jesus. If I hear nothing, I repeat it. God often speaks through conscience or even outside events that sweep away problems that I have been praying about.
Sometimes I don’t 😟
