Okay so the ladybug charm is a think she has to help keep her magic since it is what is holding her physical body together. When the magic in the charm runs out, her skin starts to change color, but instead of getting another charm, she covers up the problem with clothing to hide it. Eventually it goes so bad that she runs out of magic and she disintegrates.
I used adobe animate, but I'll tell you that it's not the pencil that makes the art, it's the person holding the pencil. You can get similar results with all kinds of animation programs!
