ABOUT THE VOICE
The four-time Emmy Award-winning musical competition series "The Voice" returns as Queen of Country Reba McEntire claims her red chair alongside last season's champ, Niall Horan, and returning superstar coaches John Legend and Gwen Stefani as they vie to discover and coach the next singing phenomenon.
The show's innovative format features five stages of competition: Blind Auditions, Battle Rounds, Knockouts, Playoffs and Live Performance Shows.
This season, the block returns to the Blind Auditions, and during Battles, each coach will have two steals to use. The Three-Way Knockouts are also back. This time, however, artists will select their own songs to perform.
Once the Live Performance Shows begin, the top artists will compete against each other weekly during a live broadcast. This time, the television audience will vote to save their favorite artists. In the end, one artist will be named "The Voice" and receive the grand prize of a recording contract.

@zoramk3570 Listen to the original song from the album (not the radio version) and in the last part you hear Minnie singing “Maya, Maya” several times. The story was that her young daughter Maya Rudolph (who was a toddler) was there in the recording session with her. Minnie created that part of the song to calm her daughter down and get her attention.
They don’t play that part on the radio because people used to wonder why she said Maya over and over. They thought it was some type of chant or curse. But it’s a beautiful part of the song when you realize she was singing to her daughter just 5 years before she died.

He said one word and they all spun around and it was like a concert the coaches had front row seats to from then on. Exactly my thoughts. Gwen herself has her unique way of singing and performing. In fact most unique among the 4 coaches actually. Gwen fits perfectly on coaching her through her years of experience! Hope Chechi will eventually sign a contract and go far with her unique talent.

I started watching the voice from season 1..I stopped watching for this very reason..IT'S A FAN FAVORITE SINGING COMPETITION... TEENAGE GIRLS FROM NEBRASKA OR IOWA ARE NOT VOTING FOR BLACK ARTIST..AND WHEN THEY PICKED THAT COUNTRY FEMALE SINGER OVER THE INDEPENDENT ARTIST MICHELLE CHAMUEL 😂😂THAT'S WHEN I STOPPED.

It's actually better if she doesn't win The voice. Winners get tied to awful contracts they can't get out of for years, which record labels have complete control over them and their music. So when winners don't come out with album after the show, or the album is not good it's the label and they can't do anything about it. Contestants from the show have come out saying they were hoping to lose so they won't get stuck with that contract. So I pray Chechi DOES NOT WIN so she is able to release music after the show that is a true reflection of her and her talent.

Sweetness in her voice, richness of the tones of her voice and her gracefulness is at the another level. You can tell she is a genuine, humble and sweet person. You can tell she put in a lot of work into this performance and perfectly executed what she planned to accomplish. I really like her and want her to succeed!

Honestly I feel that she may be stuck in a lane. I personally would not buy an album if all of her songs sounded like that. It would be boring eventually. My guess is that's why she's always been a backup singer. Hopefully she can learn to diversify.
