Hi ! Thank you for this video. Is there a way to get only inches instead of "ft" and "inches" ? I'd like to see like 30 inches instead of 2ft 6 inches. This was available in the older version. I can see few people asked for the same thing but can't see if it has any answer. Thank you !
Yeah, me, too. As a carpenter from the US, these are the units I'm accustomed to and all materials come in, 16" stud spacing, 48" plywood sheets, etc. Having the units expressed in feet and inches is an architectural scale standard, not ideal at all for small scale projects up to & including remodeling rooms.
@@shirocp From what I've seen, you're right. Too bad! I only use it once in a while; nothing to justify buying it. I just need to be more carefull on my calculation. Thanks for your comment.
@@beaux-ahgg47 I FOUND IT!!! 🙌🏼 Go to the right hand toolbar, click on “model info” > “format” select “0.0”, and on “Precision” select 0… and that should turn your “feet and inches” into strictly “inches”. Now, whenever you dimension, it should read all inches: 3ft 2in should be “38”. 😎🔥 Let me know if this works for you.
Hi! Is it possible to have the dimensions displayed in only inches instead of it converting automatically as feet-inches? I did all my field measurements purely in inches and referencing back and forth with the different formats is a headache.

Hi. In the Sketchup free web is there a way to change the units to metric globally and not only for what I select? I see in Default Template under App Settings I can change there but it doesn't change this preference for future modelling.

Is there a way to show dims in just inches (18") rather than feet n' Inches (1'6)? Are we to assume that it is not an option if so just let us know or is there a way to do this? Thanks in Advance!
"I haven't replied to any of those." - Well to be fair, I have over 900 videos on UA-cam just about SketchUp, so I'm sure you can imagine how many comments I'm getting every day now.... Anyway, try clicking the 1" precision in the units section. Not sure if this will do what you want or not

My question is: What is the difference or benefit between the free and shop version At the same time I try to follow your tutorials which are in the full version of SketchUp, but I cannot solve how to find the tools and functions in the SketchUp-Shop version. It would be great to have more tutorials on how to find them.

I think that since this is Sketchup Web (Free version), they’re gonna limit to how much software access you’re going to get.

I would like to use just inches, not feet and inches in SU Shop. Is there a way to do this?
