Recommended installing a overflow bottle as you are running a recovery style cap . You can get away with just securing a 1.25l soft drink bottle. Run it like that and see how it goes. Give the bottle about 10cm of coolant and a hose that is about 1cm off the bottom.
Thanks for your comments - I'd like to get one. I ordered a Tridon CN1390 Thermostat from Repco which is a non-recovery type ... I didn't pay too much attention to it when it came in. Hope it's the CN1390 and not the CA1390. Will have to get a professional diagnosis on the bubble situation.
hey there i own one mate the bubbles are just from the thermostat opening and water going all the way throught the system its the water pump spinning the water,there must be a few cavitys inside the manifold its nothing to worry about ive just dont my entire cooling system,one little thing i did notice,when there hot at the lights they will use a tiny bit of water i top mine up once a week takes about half a litre,i do about 300 kms a week,hope this helps mate,nice brumby mate great job another one saved
