The Chicago Bears confirmed that they will continue with their plans of building their next stadium in downtown Chicago on the lakefront where Soldier Field currently is, via Bears CEO Kevin Warren.
Warren spoke to reporters ahead of The Chicago Bears game in London, England vs. The Jacksonville Jaguars that the Chicago Bears will break ground in 2025 on The Bears next home, which will stay in Museum Campus, just south of where Soldier Field currently is.
The hold up at the moment is getting all the different parties involved aligned to funding, with will be from The Chicago Bears, The State of Illinois, and The City of Chicago. The goal is to enhance the stadiums size, add a non-retractable roof, seating capacity, better concessions and bathrooms, parking, and a football village with bars, restaurants, and more.
Along with that, Bears chairman George McCaskey spoke to reports on what happened in free agency back in 2020 where the Bears were in on signing Tom Brady. McCaskey spoke to how The Bears did their homework, liked Tom, but in the end didn't work out and said "It worked at for Tom Brady in the end." Followed by he is happy with Caleb Willams, thinks things are going well so far, and is excited for what's next.
The Bears also look to have a doubtful Teven Jenkins, which Bill Murray will take his spoke if he can't play, along with Tyrique Stevenson dealing with a calf injury, and defensive lineman Jacob Martin hoping to be back this Sunday.

Arlington Heights
Kevin Warren acts more like he works for the city of Chicago rather then working for Da Chicago Bears. The land they already own is the best option
in arlington heights i absulotley agree
🥶
Transportation infrastructure is they key to a successful new stadium. You need to be able to get masses of people there on steel tracks, not personal vehicles. Downtown would be cool, but There's a major transportation issue with that location
Yes!
Put it in AH!!!! It just makes sense!
Agreed!
Arlington Park is th Smart Decision !! Bear Down !!
Yes!
Arlington Heights, without a doubt. keep the Lake front open. Too many possibilities in the subs to ignore.
🙌
Couldn't the Bears still be called the Chicago Bears, even if their stadium was in Arlington Heights? NEED a WIN Sunday!
Yes!
Yeah, the Bears own the rights to the name Chicago Bears, the city doesn't.
0:54 I love the lakefront but I feel it's time to own a stadium.
Hey!!! Long time no talk!!! Yes!!
Arlington Heights!
🙌
Arlington Heights NO BRAINER
Bingo!
Arlington Heights, more opportunities and possibilities as well as greater convenience for what would seem like the majority overall, even if you live in Chicago for most
Facts
Hopefully it gets done, I totally can see myself watching a game there. BEAR DOWN!!
🐻⬇️
Thanks Nic..BEAR DOWN!

Build the Stadium in Arlington. Arlington Bears don't sound that bad, since Chicago people don't want them.
🐻⬇️
As long as the transportation is worked out, just give me a new stadium!
🐻⬇️
As a Packer fan and a business person now retired, I’m always amazed at how confusing the Bears are when they conduct business.
You?! try Millions of others here in Chicago!!! I live 7 minutes from downtown and "Lick my chops" since its a 4 flat, i Hope it's downtown. Although, i don't trust Politicos doing the right thing.
I cant wait to have a super bowl there it would be absulotley sick
👀
As a Bears fans from out of the country, getting to the game by a stable public transportation not personal vehicles would be golden. I usually stay at a hotel on the magnificent mile just for that reason cause the Bears offer free trans from the Bean to the stadium and back.
If I had to rely on cabs or other means, wont lie, I would be effed.
Yes!!!!
They missed a huge opportunity. When the Juliet speedway shut down, they could have revamped that entire area and had easy access from i-355, i-80 and i-55 with nothing but cornfields around that place and plenty of room for parking. They could have had all kinds of events there besides the bear games and paid for it tenfold. And all of the infrastructure is already there with the racetrack and stands
Joliet...Damn Autocorrect
That would be insane! I live 10 minutes from there
👀
Everyone saying there should be no public funding for this stadium confuses me because the city of Chicago also wont sell them the land due to the ordinance on lakefront property in Chicago. So why would any organization pay for the entire stadium project when they wont own it in the end? Makes no sense and not a single sole would ever take that offer. seems like everyone wants the bears to pay for it all (then not own it) yet also have the city see all the revenue benefits of it in return which is just not how business works lmao. So seems like if Chicago wants the bears, and subsequent even revenue from an enclosed PUBLIC USE stadium, they should go at least half and half. Otherwise the city is just going to lose the bears entirely, lose out on the $2B investment from the bears to develop that land and build the stadium for city of Chicago use (and bears, obv), will be left with a bad stadium and parking lots not in use by any team, AND im pretty sure still will owe money on soldier field which will no longer be in use. Seems like a no brainer that the city should match the bears investment bc it would be quite embarrassing if they lost the team.
This is true
DT All the way it's called tradition!!!!!!
Facts
We live in Winnebago about an hour west of the Chi so Arlington Heights for us but down for either 🤷♂️ 🐻⬇️

Chicago has some amazing buildings - 30 years it was famous worldwide due to Sears tower and John Hancock. I just hope they do not do a "generic" stadium. Make it look special (like sofi) AND have area for Tailgating. Make the stadium something you want to go a see. For example.....build it out onto the lake (see Palm Island in UAE). American engineering can do it...
Facts
Of course the Lake Michigan is the spot 😊
👀
I think Kevin Warren is just playing poker with where the stadium is gonna go. I’m not completely ruling out Arlington Heights wherever the stadium gets built. I’m looking to buy a condo close to the stadium and turn it into an Airbnb so I need a definitive answer soon. I’m sorry I’m just not taking Kevin Warren’s answer as the lakefront. What are you gonna do with the 300 acres?
👀
there is no fresh air in chicago
Brodey for president
😎
No public funding
👀🥶
Staying in Chicago is a mistake ticket prices will stay way to high for regular people to go to and still not good enough for people who live farther than most this will be a mistake
Yes
I love the bears but if my taxes go up I would rather have them move to Iowa then raise my taxes
Ha!
I live in Downers Grove, so based on just drive time, it really makes no difference to me if it's in AH or Chicago, just as long as they increase the parking/tailgating and they increase the number of seats and # of men's bathrooms, and they can make getting in and out of the stadium campus less of a cluster fuch. As far as dome or no dome, I don't care. No dome, I'll wear my coveralls and bundle up to handle the cold as always. With a dome, that's cool. But I don't think tax payers should be on the hook for any portion of this thing, especially since they are still on the hook for hundreds of millions still owed from the last Soldier Field renovation. McCaskey's and Warren I'm sure are holding off starting the project until 2025 because they want to see who is going to be in office as the prices of steal and the interest rates and all of these financial concerns will vary greatly depending on whether it's Trump or Kamala in office.
Heck yeah. This comment is so true. I love it
Tom Brady too coach the Bears would be over the TOP
It won't stay in chicago on the lakefront.
🙌
We’ve sucked ass in “real Bear weather”. Good riddance! But retractable roof is a W.
🤣🤣🤣
Build the stadium in TEXAS.
The Bears should let Jerry Jones negotiate their stadium deal. Jerry totally screwed Arlington in that deal
🤣🤣🤣🤣
The Bears don’t belong in Arlington Heights that’s not Chicago Arlington Heights would be a failure
Many teams aren’t in the actual city they’re called
BEAR 🐻 DOWN BABY, FGB, PVO, If they put the new stadium still on the lake front it will be worse to get there and leave, waste of TAX PAYERS MONEY.
🐻⬇️
TERRIBLE, There the CHICAGO BEARS not the Arlington Bears and Arlington has nothing on Downtown CHICAGO. Strengthen Chicago with more jobs more access
👀
NO REAL BEARS WOULD WANT CHICAGO BEARS TO MOVE OUT OF CHICAGO BESIDES AH people who cares about ah nobody does we a called "chicago bears" for a reason chicago is a top 5 biggest city in the usa
The city of Chicago is a shit hole and the lake front isn't as nice as people say it is.
👀👀👀
I say no to the lake front!
👀
That’s a really bad decision they shouldn’t stay in your lake. There’s no room for anybody or anything..🐻⬇️
