- This took me a long time but was well worth it, It might not look like much at the beginning but as I passed each individual story it stared to become more and more interesting.
If you're interested in playing it be warned that its not going to be easy, it's a very challenging game but well worth it, in my opinion this is how Final Fantasy IV should have ended in the first place.
I liked it so much that I decided to upload it in 1080p.

I played the PC version, but I also have the complete collection. Have to say, Kain and Ceodore look better in the 2D version, blue haired Ceodore is awesome.
Steam version is crap, no challenge dungeons, no depths ( no bosses from ff1 to 6 ), no content...
Spectacular battle, Revolted! But to be honest, the Creator actually explains the circumstances of Final Fantasy when it comes to the origins of the worlds of each game and the crystal things that drive history in each story forward. My mind was blown when it would be this game that explains it all. :O
+AWJ★ Thank you, and you're absolutely right, that's what makes the game worth playing in my opinion, every person may see it differently though, I recommend any late Final Fantasy fan to play the first games, some are better than others but each has an interesting story on it's own.
Is it really worth it? I always thought it was kinda shitty that they expanded on one of my favorite final fantasies. I never bothered with this one.
This only explains FFIV's origins, so yeah, take it with a pinch of salt if you want.
@@irisheartt wrong the whole game is good the fact you are exploring the towns and places of the first game just make it worth if you want to play a sequel you want to see old things of the first game but also see new things and that game have bring all of that and wth you mean with "rehash events" yes there is some events similar to the original game but they not are a totally copy and even then you rarely see events like that (also if someone play the final tale without play the others they will just be confused with the lore of the game)
I seriously wish more FF games did this where they made a sequel showing the lives of the characters years after. It's really ingenious!......Which is why it sucks ff4 is practically the only one to ever have a sequel (years later like this at least)
6 deserves so much love by Square Enix, basically only 7 has been the milking cow for years, many years. Only 4 has got some love and very few times compared. 5 and 6 deserve a new HD remake or at least a come back like this. FF13 got too much attention before too, then 15. Looks like S.E. really hate their 90s games.
@@Kamineko99 well it doesn't even make sense! Why not make sequels to their previous games but specially if people love them? Even if the sequel turns out to suck in the end at least they'll still make a profit out of it from the people who rush in to buy it immediately. It seriously makes no sense :/
@@Kamineko99 A lot of people have said "But at the end of 6, they killed the source of all Magic!" Well, yes and no. They killed the things that made Espers/Eidolons, which in turn granted magic to humans in that world.
Thing is.. "they" were said to descend from the Heavens. No other explanation given. Well.. _what created _*_"them"_*_ in the first place?!_
At the end, you have Figaro standing as the only real intact nation, the three cities of the southern continent in ruin, independent Nikeah and Jidoor surviving, the remote village of Mobliz destroyed, and the city-state of Narshe destroyed. And Zozo being Zozo. Only Tzen was said to have had a royal family and nation, whom were executed, and what might've been their house, destroyed. You also have the Cult of Kefka still around and not dead.
The surviving party members could easily focus on their own personal stories while the Cult of Kefka, rather mad at them for killing their God, attempt to both revive him using the source of whatever made the Warring Triad, and attempting to kill the former Returners. Setting the events only five years after the end of the story seems a good bet. Better still if we find out that Kefka wasn't the most messed up infusion attempt by Cid, and someone far more dangerous was supposedly put to death by Gestahl just before the events of the first story. Thing is, not only did they survive, they were actually buried beneath Kefka's Tower (now a monstrous pile of rubble), as even Kefka was afraid of their potential. Celes was never privy to the knowledge of their existence, and Cid simply thought them dead, so never mentioned it.
Now, they could either impersonate Kefka as a "fallen God" (bereft of Esper-derived magic, but with a source of mystical power from the creator of the Warring Triad) and perform dark miracles for the Cult to con them into being their foot soldiers, or they could entirely co-opt the Cult by using illusions as Kefka once did. This messed up experiment could seek to become the new High God like the Warring Triad had been, not by currying favor from their Creator, but by stealing the Creator's power for themselves.
This would give a pathway for the characters to have to learn magic all over again, from new sources of strength. The False God's machinations could even resurrect the Magi as a race, complete with all the traditional Job Classes, and even creating Summoners as a race and class.
From the main cast, we can select a few to lead this new story, introduce new characters that are victims of the False God's experiments, and the remaining can perform vital second line work. Like Edgar - he's King of the last major nation, he can't be going off on adventures, but he CAN provide the party with resources, supplies, intelligence, and missions. Sabin/Mash may well be his General and Prince-Dauphin, also unable to venture out, as he's busy teaching Master Duncan's arts (which he can then teach). Terra is likely fully retired at this point, though she may well serve as a source of ancient knowledge as a byproduct of looking for good stories to tell the Children of Mobliz. Strago is too old, period, he'd be 76. Relm, however, would be in her adventuring prime at 16. Setzer might be a brief partner, but I see him more as being the Master of the Falcon and used to shuttle the team where they need to go, while providing a safe haven, free recovery spot, and a small Items store. Mog is likely either searching for a new home, or trying to find lost tribes of Moogles (depending on if you believe all the Moogles in Narshe were killed or not). Umaro would have gone with him. Gogo would fit nicely as an optional challenge boss to get access to the Mimic abilities, and afterwards, providing direct instruction on where to get the rarest gear, if you can find him.
No, I see this new Adventure being led by Celes and Locke, now established as a true Power Couple. Relm and Shadow would likely come along as well (they ARE Father and Daughter - spoiler!). If we go by the size of the cast in FF6, that leaves eight spots open. Each of those could be a truly unique character, with their own starting stories and everything. Potential Classes for them can be just about anything you can imagine from the Job Classes of Final Fantasy. I'd like to see a Sorcerer like Tellah, a true Summoner, another Blue Mage, a replacement Monk for Sabin/Mash (whom use Chi energy instead of Magic), a true Dragoon, and another Machinist, then two others of some type. This time, keeping the classes more distinct - Celes retaining her Runic Power and expanding it, Locke doing more than just Steal/Mug - and limiting cross-class "mission creep" until towards the end.
I haven't the skills to make this, I don't think. If anyone wants to try, though...
Kain still had a character arc to complete, arguably Golbez too but FFIV Advance made it obvious that there was still a loose end with Kain and After Years really delivered on that. After seeing him on Mt. Ordeals I always wished he had another form like Cecil did and then it happened. Now the only loose thread is what happened with Fusoya and Zeromus...
I just realized that Zeromus was still alive, i wonder how and why was he not attacking the earth while the party is in the space
Only explanation I can think of, is that Fusoya managed to hold him back the whole time (Which is unlikely, I know).
@@H_Dominguez i mean if he could do that then the entirety of the first FFIV would make no sense, Kain wouldn't be manipulated by Golbez and so on if he's able to hold off the entirety of Zeromus' power in TAY the whole time without having anyone being mind-controlled again. He didn't get any weaker, he's the same as always since the first game; he's only resting to restore his power for years
How was Zeromus still alive? Because of his final death speech or other reason?

Perhaps JENOVA could be the result of an evolutionary process triggered by the Creator gone awry, resulting in a planetary parasite? I also have a headcanon/theory that Chrono Trigger is connected to the Final Fantasy series (via retcon), and Lavos is a creature taxonomically related to JENOVA. Lavos is more highly evolved and more powerful than JENOVA; she also unconsciously carries on the Creator's experiment, the result being the evolution of modern humans on the Chrono Trigger planet. Her original ultimate goal is the same as JENOVA's...Reproducing and infecting other planets, though Lavos produces parthenogenetic offspring while JENOVA relies on technological interference and her own viral proteins to spread her genetic information. Once Lavos assimilates Schala, though, she goes mad with power and transforms into the Crystal of destruction known as the Time Devourer, hell bent on destroying all time-space. In a timeline that the Time Devourer succeeds in her goal (by assimilating Serge), she loses sapience and resets space-time, becoming the original Crystal encountered in Final Fantasy IX and inadvertently birthing a new universe.

I think you're overthinking it no offense. Also off the ffx will ending vocal novel it's speculated that when sin returned at the end of the novel. That somehow since sin is yu yevon he created a sin spawn in the image of his daughter yunalesca. Also 7 and 10 are in the same universe keep in mind.

3rd Attack: Nothing
4th-6th Attacks: Counters all physical attacks with Binding Glare, any magic with the same one and summons with Megaflare. Doesn't counter Band attacks.
7th Attack: Repeats the process of the 1st-6th attacks.
Creator (Form 2)
Can cast Binding Glare, Holy, Flare, Meteor and Megaflare.
Creator (Final Form)
Casts Black Hole immediately, which will remove all buffs (and Sap) after anyone uses a Crystal, and can use it even at the later parts of the battle.
Transform (Mutation in the 3D version) will make him have said elements that can be absorbed and be weak to it. Often casts high-level spells like Firaga, Blizzaga, Thundaga etc. depending on its element
Fuse (Assimilation in the 3D version) damages all characters and heals the Creator based on how much damage it dealt. Damage can be lessened by Shell.
Multiply (Propagation in the 3D version) deals damage to all your characters. Damage can be lessened by Shell.
Regenerate heals the Creator for 9999 HP.
Split (Disintegration in the 3D version) deals massive damage to one character. Damage can be lessened by Shell.
Explode (Detonation in the 3D version) is similar to Zeromus's Big Bang in a way, it will flash, indicating he's about to use it and when he uses it, it will deal massive damage to your characters and inflicts Sap. Damage can be lessened by Shell.
Metastasis (I don't remember what it's called in the 3D version) deals 3000 damage (A.K.A 1.5% of its max HP since it has 200,000 HP) at random to the Creator.
Pig, Mini, Toad or Confuse is casted by the Creator when not defeated in enough time.
Collapse (Ruination in the 3D version) deals a high random amount of damage to the Creator.
Destroy (I also don't remember what it's called in the 3D version) deals very little damage to one character while the Creator takes massive damage.
Crush (I also don't remember what it's called in the 3D version) deals very little damage to all your characters while the Creator takes massive damage.

Everybody seems to struggle with the second phase of the fight, but I honestly find it to be the easiest of the lot. There are two big methods I use - the first is spamming Double Jump (which can easily deal over 20000 damage, enough to take him out in two or three hits). The second involves giving the entire party Reflect, then having Rydia spam Bahamut, as he counters magic with Megaflare in this phase. And because Megaflare is effected by Reflect, he ends up being the one to take damage instead. It's hilarious.
Third phase can die in a fire, though, you basically can't fight him on a Full Moon or else he'll one-shot your entire party with Meteor...

you could even say some moon crystals got knocked into the life stream giving it power to heal the planet, make materia with consience inside or for weapons. not to mention the planet could have known how to genetically make ultima, ruby, emerald or any other weapon for that matter. and still supply energy for those mako reactors. ff15 taks about how the crystals hold massive amounts of energy and the ability to make things

The G-Wing I beat the entire game on the Wii blind with no help. It's very simple if you get the hang of it
I prefer to use the 5 originals, so instead of ceodore I use Edge.
viniciomartinez Edge is much better anyone, when he gets to level 70 plus he does massive dmg, more so than Cecil and Kain, and crits a lot too

Thank you. I bought the DS version of FF IV and sadly missed out on this. I prefer the 2d sprite animation anyhow. The 3d graphics on the DS are not as colorful and somewhat lacking compared to the colors and vibrancy of the 2d sprites, plus the spells look better on PSP.

Yeah if only the enemies from 2D remake version were animated the 2D version will win but the only 2D animation in PSP version is our heroes the enemies? Just static sprite flashing when attack or using spells the only good thing about them are design but that alone not enough to appeal people that never play this game today.

Not long after I entered, I completely forgot about the Mysterious Girl. I was just fighting boss after boss after boss after boss and grinding for nearly a fortnight before I fought her for the last time.

That's ridiculous... bad design at it's finest.
But this one at least have save points.

Like the video title says its Final Fantasy IV: The After Years it was released on the PSP as part of the Final Fantasy IV The Complete Collection, it can be accessed from the main menu no cheats, although it's a sequel from the main story.

the graphics are nice and very polished (unlike the wii version)
the new musics are very cool(although i prefer zeromus final boss theme)
and the history can be interesting if you play it blind and it will sure make you want to finish it(or at least it did it witih me)
the only problem i have is he final dungeon having way too much bosses and being too long overall the game is pretty good

just started playing this and while liking that Ceodore wants to be his own man through his portion of the story at the start. I really wish they would of made him become more of a red mage (getting his father's melee, mother's white magic, and maybe taking up some black magic to be his own thing) instead of a paladin type character. it feels like we got more of the same with cecil but with his son instead. or maybe make his son go down a different path. be a true dark knight instead? or thief perhaps. maybe even a beast master. overall loved it though. I could see SE doing this with X and Jecht/Braska/Auron treatment they ere originally going to do with X-2. or maybe even Sephiroth's and the Turks kinda how they did with the, at the time, japan only cell phone game.
I personally prefer a party of Ceodore, Ursula, Palom, Porom, and Luca.

The reason why the Maenad casted Protect was because they wanted to "Protect" you from the Creator

+BlackWingedSeraph I think it's more like a single deity and not multiple deities, because the Japanese are multi-religious. Very different ideas compared to believing in a single god. :|
+BlackWingedSeraph I also look at it in the sense that the greatest power one can stand against is a god. When a god forces a destiny upon millions of people and it hinders them, they rise up to protect themselves. The creator was effectively god, and it believed humanity weak and unfulfilled. The party here happens to prove that they are the ones who decide their destiny, not the creator.
They defy the will of a god. I think when the creator thanks them, it was because they proved it wrong. It wanted them to have evolved to a useful state, a stronger state and it didn't think they had. When they surpassed it, it was wrong.
Sometimes a creator's most proud moment is when its creations exceed all expectations.
+Colin Tentis Right! It makes a lot more sense when you put it that way. You're talking about the the highest level one can possibly stand up against and a god pretty much fits the mold. Makes the entire conflict worthwhile and much more interesting. And indeed, a creator can underestimate himself/herself when it comes to unexpected outcomes. Jeez, imagine if this happened in Final Fantasy I, or V, or VI...this would've really been deep! :D

My game get major glitch here, i can't use crystal item to creator, just used to myself, so i can't continue the game because of that, dammit. Well, at least it's just the final boss tho, not the entire game. (but that hurts so much dude, you know?)

Secondly, theres not much worth continuing from the ff6...what with magic being totally dead...as for 7 we got one. It was Advent Children, and Dirge of the Cerberus. Viii would be worth seeing a sequel. Maybe go into detail the turn of events that gave rise to ultimecia. I'm playing this right now.... the passages in the moon are like a character needs 200,000 xp and these mobs only give you like 5k to 10k xp.... it's getting boring actually...is there a place where you can get more xp??
i just grinded using fast forward but overall just run from most of the enemies and try to beat the bosses
when you reach near the last floors the enemies give so much exp that grind is not necessary
oh yeah also there is the challenge dungeons incase you don't care about re-complete chapters

The game is made of individual stories, playing with several character independently, at the beggining it's not very interesting but once the stories start to fit with each other and make sense it turns in an amazing game ;)
just knowing that its a continuation is pretty awesome this looks well worth the time

@@goncalomiguel1384 give him his strongest equipment if available, make edge reach high level to give him enough hp and stats maybe 70 to 80( i forgot since it has been a long time ago) and then just use an item that has a haste effect, cast blink/mirage(i forgot the name) ninjutsu on himself to avoid physical attacks, also edge has an access to healing ninjutsu so you don't have to rely much on healing items, save some high ethers and elixirs just in case edge run out of mp, if you are worried about magic attacks just use an item that has a shell effect, i can't remember if ninjutsu can be reflected if not, use an item that has a reflect effect to avoid magic dmg...
As far as i can remember, i only use an item that has a haste effect(he's really fast with haste), some ethers or hi ether, maybe one or more elixir or maybe none at all
Even though Takashi Tokita co-wrote this game, it didn't have Sakaguchi on board and this is the result. A bad copy of the original.

The first version did
with the elements they had the creator should have been a woman. the creator (jenova) aims the collapsing moon at the planet in a last effort to take over. instead crashes the meteor size moon into the NORTH causing a CRATOR. booya!stage set for ff7. oh and nix that crap about the creator being the last of his kind also. and rydia should have been born of parents infused with levia. & asura essence. two mothers and fathers.
