I think the design would be perfect if you remove the upper crystals headlights and move the fog lights to match with the grill. It isn´t pleasant at the moment but I hope that in the face refresh in five years they can fix it.

I have to disagree. For $300k, they've replaced tangible switchgear, with two poorly integrated tablets leaning, unhooded, on the dashboard. Why, do we allow them to blind us with bling, into believing this is somehow superior. In Australia, and North America, use of mobile phones while driving is restricted. According to (CARRS), taking your eyes off the road for 2 seconds doubles your chance for a crash. Why are these displays, containing menu inside of menu, acceptable to use while driving. Maybe I'm an idiot, but it seems very similar to me.
That is an awkward mechanism to operate the vents because they arent as clever as Tesla engineers. Tesla manages air flow by manipulating two sets of air flows along the vent and then managing their speeds so to change direction without using actual vents.
Not as desirable as the M3 Touring of course, but I find it appealing, apart from the silly split lights. Watched to the end, I don’t like the rear seat setup much either, billionaires already have big enough egos ;)

Nice vehicle, could live without the tv screen in back and not sure if stretched out feet would work well in a frontal collision...otherwise it looks great
This car and all other EV's are 4 times as energy and environmentally intensive to design and build than their CE equivalents and also this is just another Trend to sell more cars and to make new cars SEEM more more exciting
Sorry Thami L: the figures you mention about electric cars being 4x worse for the environment at manufacturing stage are incorrect. The correct figure over the equivalent ICE vehicle is 1.6x.
Headlights are horrible, the elongated tablet in place of gauges in dash are horrible, fabric seats🤦🏻 crap in a flagship now adays. The back end looks like an older ford taurus doesn’t match the rest of the car. The tech is awesome but my god they really dropped the ball on this

This car lacks craftsmanship, it looks like BMW went into the bargain bin of other car manufacturers and threw everything into one vehicle. They made the mistake of moving the gear shift in the 7 series to the stalk before and put it back into it's rightful place. Halos, Crystal Gear Shift, physical buttons, and balanced aggression. This isn't that hard.

Have BMW acknowledged the rear view mirror issue? I thought it was a legal requirement in Oz to be able to clearly see out of the rear of the car?

This is better though cuz for teslas it’s an actual menu and it’s much harder to use. The dials help not looking off the road
