    MAYYYYYTE! It is said that true happiness in this physical world consciousness experience is found in true servitude to others. You just saved me days and my neighbours from hearing endless swear words trying to figure it out. Much respect and buying you a beer if we ever meet up.....or if you have a patron I will need money you for this public service announcement!
    EDIT: Just found your PayPal donation link and there's a tenna sent your way bloke!

    thanks for the vid helped me out heaps...one thing i did differently was the section u removed with the rubber crow bar was to pull from the bottom. was heaps easyer if u didnt have a rubber tool, also hazard lights if unplugged control the indicators dont drive around with that plug unplugged like i did. cheers

    Hey man, thanks for the video. I have a 1999 Hiace like this. I am about to purchase a modern Sony head unit (DSX-A510BT), but I don't know if I need a harness adapter. Do you know what is the standard of the original plug in the Hiace?

    • @DIYChannelSteve
      @DIYChannelSteve  6 років тому +1

      If iit has the factory radio in it still you can use harness but you can also hard wire it. the shop that you buy the harness from will help you get the right ones. If it has an after market radio in it already the factory plugs may be chopped off.

    Cool Vid, ma I ask did you have enough space to remove the radio if leaving the dash hanging? Many thanks!

    • @DIYChannelSteve

    I just took my radio out now and only removed the top screws and top part pulled out just the same (did not touch the part around the ignition). Question though where is the fuse box on this model hiace as we could not find it? (in our defence was at night outside by the time we looked).

    • @DIYChannelSteve
      @DIYChannelSteve  5 років тому +1

      I think its on the passenger side.

    • @paulraymond1804
      @paulraymond1804 3 роки тому

      There's a fuse box for the large fuses and relays (ignition, lights etc I'd say) kind of below the ash tray. To the right of that there's a smaller fuse box full of mini blade fuses.

    It finished right at the bit where I'm stuck. I got it that far, but can't get it past the steering wheel

    • @DIYChannelSteve
      @DIYChannelSteve  Рік тому

      Yeah,. sorry about that. It is a bit tricky too. I hope you have it sorted by now.

      @mrduuud Рік тому

      @@DIYChannelSteve I just had to break off one of the plastic tabs that lock the dash in, in order to get it past the steering wheel. You wouldn't notice once you put it all back together again.

      @DIYChannelSteve  Рік тому

      Yes it is a bit tricky. Glad you sorted it.

      some may not have a lever. if it does it will be on the left side of colum surround.

    I have been trying to gain access to the fuse box (behind the dash). Would this be the best approach to achieve this?

    • @DIYChannelSteve
      @DIYChannelSteve  3 роки тому

      are you trying to remove the fuse panel, than yes. but you only need to remove the panel under the steering column
