Asalaam aleikum, i always love listening to Dr. Younis but i have a request which is more like a question. For many muslim sisters we love the story of the prophet(SAW) and Aisha(RA) but sometimes it feels like his other wives didnt get that kind of treatment and i know for sure the prophet loved his wives but the way, i dont know how to say it but its just scary for some muslim women feeling like we might end up in marriages where we aren’t the most loved or even treated like the loved because even the prophet…. I dont know how exactly to explain it but it doesn’t boost my morale for marriage at all. All praise be to Allah ,blessing be upon the prophet(SAW) and thank you for this lovely video, i truly believe that relationship with Allah is everything😊

I have a question and this question has been on my mind for a very long time I want to understand why Quran doesn’t treat women equally as men for example, when it comes to inheritance, it is not distributed equally between men and women. Why is that? Additionally, why is it the woman who has to wear hijab to protect themselves not men?
Assalam alaikum, as far as I know about inheritance, girls also get from husband after marriage, so from father side it's half of boys share. Regarding Hijab, we do to feel safe. And Pardah is also for men, not only for women.
First of all Im no scholar so Im answering you with the little knowledge I have. Having said that, your first question about inheritance. Think about this. Who has the responsibility to financially maintain women? Men. A husband has to maintain his wife and a father has to maintain his daughter and if father is not present that responsibility falls on her brother. So that answers your question. Second, about the hijab. What people often dont know or forget is that islamic guidelines for clothing/appearance goes both ways, albeit differently. Men also have to dress a certain way (no tight clothes, pants above the ankle., not showing the awrah, growing beard etc.). The hijab is an obligation for the women first and foremost from unwanted gazes. Generally it is men staring at women or worse even cat calling (which is also haram btw) so would having the men wear hijab/covering be necessary? For which gender is hair more of a beauty thing? Rules of Islam may seem strict on some people but freedom doesnt exists and without rules there is no order. And this life is ultimately just a test and not meant to (fully) enjoy. Every rule has its own wisdom (and even if we dont see or understand it we believe Allah knows best). I hope i answered your questions a bit.

We are equal but have different roles in this dunya
Islamically men are obliged to spend on their families; women can keep the money for themselves
Sorry to ask, but just curious if you're Shia Muslim Dr. Haifaa Younis ? 😅
As far as I know, she isn’t
No she isn’t
