I've got a brand new pair of Txture Sanity boots I'd like to give you if you cut in half and do a video. You will be amazed at the quality and price due these high quality boots!!!!
Much better than what this video is about!!!
Yes please cut these in half!!! Ive been drooling over the red pair on their site and I wanna know if they stack up
Yes!!
No reason to cut in half. It’s all leather construction. Just not using leather from Chicago or Italy.
There are videos out where others have cut them in half... just look around
They have a pair of white's and drew's cut in half side by side at Baker's boots. Same construction
I’m from northern Mexico and I know exactly what event you’re talking about. I love boots in part because of the smell. It reminds me of when my grandpa and my dad would take me boot shopping and when we would shine our boots, which we call “bolear”.
going to the local small square to get some shine is an "old man" thing I enjoy to do.
Mexico may have the best leather workers in the world. In my studies of life, I remember learning that Mexico and Spain have a rich history with cattle and leather. I believe Leon is the name of the city that is supposed to be the leather shoe capital of the world. Similar to buying a car from Germany or a katana from Japan. Mexico is cheaper than China labor wise right now, so there is that as well.
would like to see their rough out loggers on the channel!
Yeah support the USA first but Id sure rather support Mexico than China.
Guys typing: Not supporting Mexico! on their iPhones made in China and driving their cars made in Korea or Japan :D
Stop trying to use logic, those folks only know the outrage they saw on Facebook.
all the boots & hats are made in Mexico 😂😂 just the company is from the US
@@Katiemtz099 so is the F150….merica?
It’s funny to me that so many America first bros don’t realize that Honda, Toyota, and Nissan have been building more cars and more overall vehicles in America than any of the “domestic” big three have for over a decade now. The trucks have had some or mostly built in the UsA claims for that time, but the suv and cars have overwhelmingly been offshored. The Japanese brands have American companies here to handle this market and support more small towns like Smyrna, TN through economic turmoil more than Ford, GM, or CDJR have for years and years.
Quality knows no border, and supporting American now means supporting more things in America employing actual Americans at this point instead of just looking at legacy brand names.
Support people. There's people all over the world, Americans aren't the only ones who deserve to make things and live.
I guess an important thing to remember is that Frank's comparably priced patriot is made in the US
I bought my whites from Bakers. I worked with the owners on a custom set since I had an odd size. Nice guys, great to work with, very knowledgeable.
I have had the 8" Combo Brown Loggers for a bit over a year now, and I love my pair. Took a bit to break in the leather, but that modified 55 last feels great and supportive. I've worn them for 24hr+ shifts as an underground pipeline technician, and my feet are not fatigued. They are a beast. When I need heavy work done, I wear those. When i need to be more nimble, I wear the JK OT, and when I'm on tarmac all day, I wear Whites Perry Select.
I ordered the contractor as well and absolutely loved the fit right out of the box. You’re right the smell is absolutely wonderful, like a leather shop. They’re modified/molded 55 last was so comfortable and easy break in. This was my 1st PNW boot and had heard the horror stories on the break in. After 3 weeks wearing them, I immediately ordered their 8 inch smooth/rough out brown boot. Both pairs were delivered in 2-3 weeks, not 18-52 weeks. I still have a pair of Nicks Chelsea’s I had ordered 11/21/23 and still waiting to start production. I was also hesitant in the sizing until I sent my foot measurements to their team and they had recommended 2 sizes down from my brannok and not my usual wide. But i am so glad for their help in sizing being a FNG to PNW boots. If they had the contractor in rough out brown I’d order them as well. So price/fit/availability and 2 pairs of the quality boots for 1 pair of Nicks/Franks/Whites, gotta make you wonder….
They remind me of the White's 350 Cruiser or Cutter boots. My Thursdays are made in Mexico and they are just fine. No flaws or defects. I have an easier time getting boots from there and then I do with China. When you cut them, you can see if they are built for the price. Would like to see some Russell's cut apart. Want to get a pair, but they cost as much as Whites or Nick's.
I got a pair in red or rogue I think they call it. The molded leather insole didn’t really break in *faster*, but it made the break in process far less agonizing. After a few weeks I had one loose thread on each boot which I cinched up with a lighter. Even after two months I still get some reddish dye on my socks when I wear white socks which I don’t do often. One sock liner has started to peel back, but the fit is so perfect for me I can’t notice it when I’m wearing them, only when I pull them off. Overall, these are fantastic boots. I may go with the 8” work boot next. That 55+ last is great for my feet.
As for people criticizing them for not being made in America... I have a dozen pairs of made in USA boots, but I’m not confused as to why my Doc Martens aren’t made in this country. Leon Mexico has just as rich of a leather work and shoemaking history as Northamptonshire and Spokane, WA. Let these people keep making great boots.
YES. Been waiting for this video haha. I absolutely love my Drews Loggers and my 8in work boots in rowdy leather with the mini lug sole. Crazy quality for the price!
Finally review8ng Drew's I've been waiting to see your opinion before purchase
Love these 2 channel videos.
Regions of Mexico are well known for their boot/shoe manufacturing. They also have similar QC guidelines to the US. If you get boots from Mexico, be happy.
Oh yeah, and these boots share a striking resemblance to White’s Cruisers.
Thanks, I’ve been very curious about Drew’s. They look great.
You got to.get the logger. It's made with thicker lether
and fully gussetted
Lots of boots are made in Mexico and they’re typically really well made. I had a pair of Drew’s loggers and they were damn good quality. I’d love to buy all American made but hey giving these a shot ain’t a bad idea in all honesty.
I own this exact pair, and I also own Nicks and White. if we are talking about comfort, this modified 55 last is unbeatable, but my good-looking boots are the Nicks's urban loggers. I think if you want a pair of affordable PNW-style boots, this is the first choice.
Would love to see more from Drew’s!
Please do the loggers and review both I’ve been really interested but hesitant ( you posted this right after I went with the redwing moctoe bc of no info on these Drew’s )
Aw man I love my drew logger boots I'd be willing to send mine in if you want a pair to cut apart. Gives me a reason to get a new pair
Drew’s. Not Drew.
Wooo been waiting to see a review on the Drew’s!
Definitely want to see a 10" logger boot cut through and review. I have a pair arriving here to Wales in a few days.
I would love to see a video on the loggers too. Great videeo
In the video you went a full size down from Brannock. How did the boots fit? Were they to small or right on the money? Love the channel!
Awesome!! Have you ever dissected a pair of Unmarked boots? I’ve heard these are also stellar boots made in Mexico
I love my Drew’s! I would love to see a cut down and for you to review their loggers and/or their cowboy boots!
I just picked up some Drew's Contractors Rogue's. I have to return them as the sock liner has a funky crease and hurts my arch, plus I only went a half size down from my standing brannock of 12 and they're a little big, so I'm returning them for a replacement att size 11. I'd love to see what's going on inside. If you get a moment to cut yours in half I'd enjoy the insight. Enjoy all your videos, super informative, thanks!
I recently got a pair of their Mexican made loggers. The build quality and workmanship is excellent. However, they are more like a 6oz leather, and not the 7.5-8oz leather they advertise. The roughout versions also tend to be heavily sanded in the vamp to even out the finish, making it even thinner than 6oz. They are actually very nice boots, but keep that in mind when you get them. They are not NFPA rated boots I would recommend for firefighters or career woodsman. For that, stick to the MITUSA Drews Roughshot, Nicks, JK, Whites, Franks, etc.
The Contractor series are probably the same or thicker, and I would definitely consider a pair of those. My roughout loggers are NOT nearly as thick as what Weston measured at 2.7mm.
Those are really nice. I try to limit myself to only American made boots or I would get carried away.
Franks patriots anyone? $370 and made in spokane with everyone else to the same standards. Still shocked how few people know about them and even more shocked this channel hasn’t covered anything from Frank’s yet, and especially the patriot.
That’s a good looking boot.
Just going to flood them with new orders. Then prices will double plus 2 year wait time.
Two reasons to choose drews:1) better leather ( read : not made with parts of the hide that are generally discarded) .2 ) Can be rebuilt, unlike the Patriots. Actually let's throw a bonus one in 3) Drews offers a wider choice of leathers . 🥂
@@kartikchary the patriots are built with the same work leather as everyone else in the pnw. “Lesser” parts just means the stuff with scars and veins. Just as thick and quality as the rest of the range. They are absolutely rebuildable, but the cost is nearly as much as a brand new pair so Frank’s doesn’t offer to rebuild them. Color choice and lack of rough out as an option is the only real downside to the patriot. The leather is better than drews, it’s built in america, using american products, and you are supporting a small business. Moral victory for sure, product is equal or better depending on what you want. The Drew’s are on a different last which may be more desirable depending on the person. The only “negatives” to the patriot are lack of choice, and one less row of stitching.
Awesome : ) i wear the combo Loggers every day at work!! Got into PNWs bc of your channel 😁
They're just as good as my White's n Nick's
Pls do the logger really considering buying some
I wore Red Wings for 15 years and they discontinued the lineman boot I always wore. I switched to Drew's Logger Boot two years ago and have been completing satisfied. Hard breakin but a great boot. 12 hours a day, 6 days a week. And 150 bucks cheaper on top of it all.
I would like to hear your opinion on the loggers.
Yes yes I’ve been dying to see their loggers
PLEASE do the Logger unboxing, I'm super interested in a pair...
Love to see a cut in half boot of the japanese brand "Rolling Dub Trio" !
I have a pair of these in a dark redish brown.....absolutely amazing. I prefer them to my other pnw boots and my redwings. Im happy to pay for high quantity and skilled labor regardless of origin. I followed the recommendation and went 1/2 size smaller, and the fit was perfect.
I've been looking at this exact boot for the last few days.
I got a pair of these in December at Baker's and they're my favorite boots! The leather really does look and age not very differently from Horween Chromexcel in Natural. Aesthetically, the leather less consistent and looks like less of the grain judging by what the rough side looks like.
They are made larger than most other brands and I went a full size down from Brannock (a White's 55 last fits me perfectly in 10.5D and my Drew's are 10D and a little loose). I love the extra room in the toe box. I'm tempted to get another pair in the brownish red color, but realistically I'll probably keep saving for a pair of Nick's.
Truman Boots!! When? 😊
I asked this yesterday and my question got deleted so I just asked it again.
I’d love to see Truman as well
What about gokey
@@javiervega1065 Exactly they have a long history.
Definitely want the loggers too
I have your kilties in my Drew's rowdy smooth work boots and they look slick... still have not fully broken them in yet... but that is because I got my MTO Nick's... but the Drew's are killer feeling and looking so far. The rowdy has been acting kind of like a pred orange... just not patinaing as dark.
The upper circumference is way too big. I know you mention having small ankles, but the eyestays are touching together.
I tried the rowdy 8 inch, and the upper was ridiculously large. Mine were more than an inch larger in circumference than White's.
The overall construction was great for the price. However there were many big QC issues.
One note on construction that I did not care for was that they used a stitch to hold down the bottom of the eyestays to the vamp. If you try to open up the eyestays to clean along where it meets the tongue, it pulls that stitch, which can be easily broken.
Bro spent 30% of the video advertising all of his collaborations
Does anyone know the sizing comparison with Grant Stone's Edward boot? What size for Drews if im wearing Grant Stone Edwards in 8E
Got my Drews 10" Loggers back in Jan (Black Roughout) I can't recommend them enough, the only potential downside is the weight if your daily commute involves lots of stairs etc
I am very interested in their Trevor cowboy boot as well. I would like to see how it stacks up against Chisos for almost half the price...
Probably the best looking 55. I actually maybe get a pair, shame they don't have narrow versions of it. Linecutter seems the only one coming in c width. I hope you update us on the fit in the main video. With sizing down I always get that space between arch and ball of my foot that makes all kinds of pain so I'm curious to hear your experience
I am very interested in the unboxin and cut in half of the loggers from Drew's. Mainly cuz I can afford those sooner than the PNW.
Yes cut these as well!!!
I have the 8” of this boot. It’s my motorcycle riding boots. They are a beast , love the quality and the price is outstanding. I have Nicks,Whites and Grant Stones and this are on par with the PNW’s. Beware, the Toe box is wide.
Please make a logger unboxing as well as a cut in half for these guys!
Please do the loggers too!
They're cool but the leather blemish would drive me nuts until they got scuffed and beat up
Definitely do the loggers!
PLEASE cut them in half! Totally agree with their being lots of good arguments for/against foreign-made boots. I own boots made everywhere - I see them as just another flavor of boot to experience. If I was in the market for a boot like this, I'd consider them for sure.
Great looking boots! I’ve been eyeing up Drew’s boots for a while… I’m very interested in what’s on the inside. All thick leather I’m sure.
Would love to see these compared to JK 300’s- which is the better $380 boot?
I am SOLD
ordered a pair of roughouts
Rose Anvil channel is why I started buying PNW style boots
I recommend their boot jack. Top quality, better than White's.
Look Nice, take the 1/2” rubber heel block off and use a thin one theyd look less lady/lifting effect, pretty heavy tho
Please do an onsite video with Baker Drews for how small their shop is in Oregon they are making some fantastic made in America stuff also...
Iv been waiting on you to cut a pair of drews
Would love to see a cut-in-half!
I got a pair of this. Very nice boot and quality for 380.
i been contemplating getting these exact boots for months now, but i wear a 9.5 steel toe but damn do i want these. im just scared that if i buy them, and i size them wrong im sol. so i haven't been able to order nice boots
Can we get some trumans here for your review and cut in half ? I asked this same question yesterday on this same video and my comment got deleted ?
The sides of the upper are touching over the tongue when you laced them up. That's only gonna get worse as they get broken in.
Maybe have a "Made in Mexico" series? There's Duradero, Dievier, Wilcox, Cordobes, and probably others I haven't heard of.
Guys, a few weeks ago i bought a pair of these same Drew's contractor boots from Bakers Boots. These are the best built boots i have besides my Chisos #2s. They were listed in their "final few" section. They were factory seconds for 295 bucks! They show the pic of the exact boot youll buy so you can see the blem. Mine just had a stitch or 2 that was long around the arch and IDGAF. Weston had noticed right away the pronounced arch - just like i did, lol. It was just right the second time i wore them, plus i got flat feet anyway so its probably good for me. For your reference i bought size 10.5D, im a true size 11D (11 inch / 28 cm). i wear 10.5D in Redwings and grant stone. Also, since they are in Oregon you won't get shanked for tax. For 300 bucks OTD, what more could you want?
could you look into cuero boots ?
I would love to see these cut in half. Their price with the build quality looks incredible! My only concern would be the quality of the leather. I don’t know anything about the Seidel leather corp.
I don't care where my boots come from I pay for quality and price.
The boots at 2:44 look polished. Maybe just new, but they look good.
John Doe shoes, they make a specific to motorcycles with reinforcements for added protection.
I have slender ankle and shin too. The only boot that fit me is from Nick's , because they can size down the upper for me.
Yeah man, would love to see logger onboxing.
The question is if this is better then the JK 300/300X cause its the same price point
Let's see more from them!
Those look good will buy if ready to ship is available , i dont buy if have to wait months .
The video starts at 5:00
I wear a 10 1/2 in shoes and and my brannock was a seated 10 so would a 9 1/5 fit good ?
Yes that is my exact size they fit with enough room and if you wanted to add some cushion also
This boots are next level, last 4 ever 🏆
YES to Logger unboxing and cut in half! I am on the verge of buying a pair or will it be JK's? Or Drews? Man I can't decide!
if you're concerned in the slightest about spending the money..., get these.., they're 100% of the quality.. just get the 100 lug version.. its a stronger work oriented boot.. this rogue one is a little more style oriented
That 6" Rogue Smooth looks NICE. Definitely want to see the innards of this boot. Fire up the band saw!
there's other videos from regular consumers that have cut them in half.. everything they say is inside, is inside
I’m so excited that you’re looking at these. They’re dominating my Facebook feed lately alongside Craft & Glory ads. Thankfully Portland Leather and others similar to it have died down for me after you and Stridewise’s reviews came out.
I’ve been intrigued by the Drew’s logger and Frank’s Patriot at that price point. Having a more approachable boot for us office working wannabes with the logger heal without a $600-800 price tag is exciting.
I received these exact boots last week. They are heavy duty construction. Will take some time to break in. Go 1/2 size down from brannock size. I have slightly wider feet at an E size. Ordered EE and they are too wide. The D size on this boot is more like an E with plenty of width and height so your feet don't get squished. Leather is not perfect and you will find some imperfections. Combination of a dressier work boot. They do have a heel so you will stand about 2" taller. Good boot for slightly wider feet with mid to higher arches. Pretty indestructible and 1/2 the price of other PNW boots.
Would love to see the mini logger
I want a wide dress shoe that’s made out of badass take-a-beating boot leather.
You should check out Canada West Boots made in Canada they make some solid boots for good prices they do work boots engineer boots service style and cowboy boots
I dont trust canada west boots, the materials look rough and the pricepoint doesn't make sense considering labor cost in canada
@@amanasd26I was just at the factory store yesterday they make some great stuff tried on all sorts of models and bought some engineer boots
I order pair of there loggers but after waiting 4 months I canceled the order and order a pair of Franks Patriot boots
Please get the logger boots! It would be so beneficial for us to see what's going in there for 350 dollars!
I would like to see maybe some Indian shoe makers? I ordered BLKBRD Shoemaker's Dixon in their pullup black leather, under $200, I think they might be a thursday boots killer.
Have the 8in logger. Yes get a pair and cut them
They look great. Sure, get the loggers.
I love Mexico!!!!!!!!!
I want in 8” 😉
