i’ve been doing this for a while. i just buy white and clear acrylic and mix polishes in it to get an amazing color 🤩✨
Have you noticed any problem with retention ? Since you’re adding polish, does it cause any extra lifting?

Amanda Welch i honestly do not know. i’m not taking clients yet and usually don’t keep nails from for long (i’m still practicing) but I know a lot of people do this and it’s fine. i would suggest prepping really good tho!💞

Try a low setting monomer, like the odorless monomers , it won’t dry fast.. if your monomer doesn’t dry quickly enough then add acetone
Yea, that Kiss monomer in general is soooo fast setting, it's almost impossible to work with lmao

Did you try it? I’m a beginner with acrylic too but I have a ton of nail polish! This would be so much easier and affordable if it actually works than buying colored acrylic!

Hi! Do you use gel polish in the monomer? And do you have any problems like does it stay tacky or something. Probably a dumb question but I’d feel like with the gel polish inside the monomer, it would have to be cured.. right?

So yes this works great and I think the type of regular polish chosen makes a big difference, I did notice the la color dried much quicker than the kiss gel effect , so maybe that points back to some type of gel formula working better, in the uv form or polish form, this was such an awesome experiment, tfs

Hi doll I tried the gel polish version and it’s great. Now with having a problem with your acrylic not curing properly, I am having the same problem. I tried my LED lamp and it dried nicely. Now if you don’t have a lamp that cures at low temps and works up to the hotter temps, you’ll obviously need to do the in and out of the lamp so it doesn’t burn you.

I love doing this. I put a thin layer of clear first in case it stains my nails. And be careful how much polish you put in because it can affect how the acrylic hardens.

Any tips on easy removal? I kinda messed up my infills (was my first time) I didnt notice I flooded my cuticle area, and it keeps getting caught in my hair and hurts a little, wanna just completely remove it and try to redo them

I've done this same Jack but with gel to coat mix equal amounts of gel top coat with the nail Polish and u have gel Polish but same if u use white with it makes it more opaque
