great idea and looks fun to produce however... a little over-engineered for that purpose!😅 There looked to be absolutely no force on the clamps at all! I must be missing something
Those knit gloves get snagged by the grinder and it's a LOT worse injury than no gloves at all, at least you can pull away. Next time use leather gloves, not kit gloves!
Worker DIY, I can understand you wanting to share a clever project like this and post the video, but after reading all the random-ass comments and chatter below...I'm not sure it's worth it.
Personally I hate videos like this that require you to watch it to the end to see if it's even worth your time. Show me 5 seconds of the finished product. Then show me how to do it.
Don’t wish to criticise but if you ground your centre punch back at 60-70 degrees then ground a point on it at 45-50 degrees it would be much easier to see what your doing ,plus use a pilot drill to start your holes instead of drilling straight through with the larger drill bit gives far better results eg much rounder holes ,easier to drill and you don’t get such a severe breakthrough and risk snapping the drill bit ,a variable speed drill would be better much more control otherwise ,ok for use in the outside shitter I guess but needs prettying up if your ever going to get it market
Why not just buy a sliding door look Colton Home Depot so much Easter in more way than one. Who is gonna have the time or patience to carry a Alan wrench around with them . Wow some people’s kids
But not if you know what you are doing, little bit of pressure at a time Will Make the difference have 40 yrs + doing this type of work patients is the key to keeping safe,to all be safe.
Have you ever thought of just using a spring instead of this complicated bullshit?? Some people just have to make simple things complicated for absolutely no reason.
Cool product, but.... So, is this a training video on everything you should NOT do to be safe, create quality and professional results? Literally every second of this video shows exactly how not to do it the right way.
You have got to be hitting me. They sell hinges with Springs inside of them for this very purpose and you didn't have to waste anybody's time or money or energy in making this worthless piece of junk click baiting sob. The end of the wire rope is stuck in the end of one of the set screws in the thumb nail and that's not even what you made.
Thank goodness for fast forwarding.

Yes it took a turn l certainly wasnt expecting but was pleasently surprised when he finished. Very Cool Work !!!!
It’s cool however it’s too much work and looks ugly and it’s cheaper to buy a spring one
"you've never seen THESE wire rope ideas"
.........
Proceeds to show ONE idea. 🤦♂️
Good idea, must be watched at 10x speed
I love it. It's perfect for the job. Thanks for sharing.
Simply awesome. So simple it made me chuckle.
Why would you not show the two styles you show in the thumbnail?
I must say that I have seen that before as a child, and I have forgotten about it, thank you for the reminder👍
I use locking-grip pliers to hold the piece I’m sanding down with the angle grinder instead of just hands and gloves.
That's not something that someone named Crazy Rabbit would do. Hold it with your teeth!
The glove is an upgrade from my norm.
@@willtaylor4084 lol!
I love the rooster in the background.
Fancy work 👍
All good and well. But the sad reality is, there's a spring based version of this on the market already.
I know. But this is pretty clever.
And cost how much? You don't comprehend bring a man do you
People pay a ton more for this stuff. You have no idea. Random junk and they want it.
Thank you!!!!!!! ……ever in vegas I’ll buy you a beer for common sense!!!!!!!
Is this acting like a spring? 0
That system has been around decades, we call them queeny springs, used to close gates.
Very disappointed of end result. I want that 5 and a half minutes of my life back.
Dude, there's a slider, and 2x speed options plus ff tap. Who waits and watches??????
5 and 1/2 minutes won't help you.

Именно то видео, в котором можно посмотреть только финальную и на остальное не тратить время.
Isn't there spring loaded hinges that do this?
You should invest in a bench top drill press and a drill press vice !
It's nice work but I'm puzzled at what's it for?
Do I have to drill the holes at a slight angle??
No. Ideally you want them as straight as possible

Oh. Its a torsion spring. Get a spring hinge. $2
1 Bohren ( светлить)
2 Anfasen ( фазу)
3 Gewinde ( резбу нарезать)

These comedy parodies are pretty funny.
Making a big job out of a trivial problem. A couple of plates screwed to the door would have clamped the cable just fine

Nice work, but wouldn’t it been better to weld the bottom of it? Well I guess if you didn’t have a welder. That would be the next best thing.

Wow little oil tools would work longer
That’s a lot of screwing around just because the theory works…….a self closing hinge would be more time conscious.
