I'm so thankful for your Basic Functions portion of this video cause a bunch of others I watched skipped over actively showing the gain setting and I was very interested in how this mic sounds when it's a bit further away. I think I'm gonna pick this thing up tomorrow :)
I just purchased the white elgado wave 3 and elgatos white boom arm to match the new set up Im making. Itll be replacing the HyperX Quadcast and a really crappy red boom arm I got for 20 bucks. I should have just invested into a quality set up to begin with. Was never happy going budget. The only thing I did right was my monitor and my pc. Pg34wcdm and a 4070ti super, 7800x3d.
Awesome setup dude! 👊🏻 You can get some cool stuff on a budget, but when you start taking things seriously, you need the better gear. Hope this one works out well for you! 👊🏻
They are selling a bundle called "Elevate your sound" with the following parts: Wave:3 (Black), Wave Pop Filter, Wave Shock Mount, and Wave Mic Arm LP (Black) Looking forward to get mine in a few days.
This was a great video! I am torn between the Wave 3 and the Shure MV7+ at the moment. I think from the videos I have seen I like the sound of the MV7+ more as it gives you that broadcast and more warmer feel, but on the other hand its quite a bit more expensive than the Wave 3, and like you mentioned in this video, the wave 3 comes with so much good software that could be useful for streaming. Wonder what your thoughts are comparing the Wave 3 with the MV7+?
Sorry for the late reply - if your focus is streaming/recording, I'd definitely go with the Wave 3. The software makes my life so much easier, and the mic is great quality. Once you have the software installed, you could always upgrade to the MV7+ in the future, and use that microphone with Elgato's software. 🙏
