You can! It doesn't have any wires functionally (listening to music via USB C), but it can charge while working normally, wirelessly. 🙏🏻

Not as far as I know, using this plugin. Try FireCut - loads of great auto-cutting features. Still, not sure if there's anything that cuts on an audio peak, most work on silences. One thing you could do, if you want to balance the audio, is play around with some compressors and limiters.

My dad has also got a virtuoso and he said it was better than the og hs80s that he used to have, although they're a bit more clunky than I'd like. He also complained about the range as well on the hs80s. I think the max will be worth the extra cost.

I definitely would love to check out the Virtuoso's at some point. The main appeal for me is the 3.5mm jack, particularly for using with audio interfaces.

@HeroVisionYT Yeah! My dad is upgrading to the virtuoso max since he tried it in store. They're definitely a little pricey but thankfully he only has to pay the difference in what he payed for the virtuoso rgbs!

Thinking of getting a fifine am8 microphone, but im having trouble finding some decent budget studio headphones.

Nope, I'm afraid not. That's my biggest complaint about this headset. The Virtuoso has pretty much all of the features this one, better audio quality and can be used with a wire... but, naturally, it's more expensive.

So, if I understand that right, you just want a whole track to -3? WITHOUT Excalibur, in your Audio Track Filters, you can add a multi-band compressor to around 5-10db, depending on how loud the original audio is, then add a hard limiter. Honestly, you don't need Excalibur for this one. HOWEVER, if you want to do it clip-by-clip, add those same effects (Compressor & Limiter) to a clip, save as a preset, then assign that preset to Excalibur and make a shortcut to apply that. Let me know if you want me to make a video explaining this, I know it can be a little complicated via text.

In terms of headsets, this is definitely the best one I've tried, but it depends on your budget. The Virtuoso (by Corsair) is meant to be one of the best in the world, but it's even more expensive than this. The Hyper X Cloud III is pretty awesome, and a bit cheaper than this, then for anything else I'd go for something made by Razer.

Probably a dumb solution, but there should be a way of finding older versions (2.0, for example) online, via Google. Whether they still work or not, I'm not too sure. Well, with the USB-C, you'll definitely have less power, but I try to make up for that using the EQ settings inside of Elgato's Wave Link software. (You can use any EQ software, this one just works best for me). The most important part of the video, when using the AM8, is a good compressor to add that extra volume, without making the audio itself sound distorted.

It's a gifted product that I specifically requested. Corsair didn't pay me a penny, nor did they have any influence on the script. They didn't even get to see the video - nor the script - before it went live on YT. I really don't understand all of the comments assuming that because a company was kind enough to send a creator a product, it needs to be influenced. It's marketing for them, sure, but if it was terrible, I'd be more than happy to give them hell, and advise you not to buy it as I have with other product reviews. To cover your points though: - The sound doesn't seem muffled to me in the slightest. I haven't had a chance to compare it to "professional" studio headphones, but in terms of headsets and devices I've had a chance to use - various headsets by Razer, SteelSeries and even others by Corsair, and headphones like the Sony's WH-1000XM4 (which were my daily drivers beforehand). Perhaps the EQ settings helped finetune things to suit my preferences and not yours. But, certainly not muffled, from my experience. - Comfort is something I addressed in the video. 6 months later, having used these every day, there's been no point during editing/gaming sessions I've had an urge to take it off. Is it a remarkable, life-changing experience to wear these? No, it's a lump of aluminium on your head. But, as I'm sure you're aware, typically the better audio quality you get, the heavier the headset. - Mic quality, as I've seen a few other people address, is great and I hope I demonstrated that well in the video. However, it's not as good as the previous model. Overall, I'd say if you're looking for a high-budget mic, it's between this and the Virtuoso (mostly because the lack of a 3.5mm jack is the biggest letdown IMO for the HS80 Max). If you have any recommendations for people looking to buy a decent headset, feel free to leave your recommendations though. I absolutely get that you may have just had a bad experience with this one, but please make an attempt to be useful, rather than assuming every creator making a review is doing it for a paycheck.

That's... odd. I'm not sure what to suggest if it isn't coming up at all - reach out to the developer (email is on their website), they're typically great with customer service - fixed a bug I found in under a day.

Sorry for the late reply - if your focus is streaming/recording, I'd definitely go with the Wave 3. The software makes my life so much easier, and the mic is great quality. Once you have the software installed, you could always upgrade to the MV7+ in the future, and use that microphone with Elgato's software. 🙏

If you're more into voiceovers/recordings than streaming, go for the AM8. It's got way better noise isolation than the K688, and so long as you don't mind keeping it close to your face, the quality is insane. 🔥
