I think it was one of the best sets I've seen by Indian comedians. Social awareness delivered through comedy is one of the best ways of delivering it, not through lectures or stuffy education reels. She was never in your face, just sharing a bit about her life like how other comedians share bits about how they bought a motorcycle or took train journeys or how love marriage works. How couples fight is also a private affairs and yet I have seen set about it. I think the more sets there are about still taboo subjects like sexuality and sexual orientation, the better it is for society.. I think, she was confident, witty, comfortable with her material and delivered her message flawlessly.
I think coming out is still very much needed. We still live in a very heteronormative world where everyone assume everyone to be straight. And also saying u r bi , or gay is something which queer people do is because if we don't and u connect to people and u bond with some friends and then they found out u r gay. They reject u after that or don't want to be ur frnd anymore. And this happens very often . So it is better to say ur bi , gay in ur introduction to save ur energy and time. The world we live in is still very homophobic. N u seems very unaware of many LGBT issues we face every single day that u heterosexuals don't have to face.
