unfortunately i think the "updates" are just videos on that playlist going private, notice how all the videos there are very old
I don't know if you're still around RL, but if by any small chance you happen to see this message, I really hope you're doing alright. Thank you for introducing me to a world of excellent chiptune artists and bangers that I still go back and listen to all these years later. Wherever you are, I don't expect you to ever upload again, but sincerely from the bottom of my heart, thank you for all the memories :)

I dunno if anyone else realized this, but the song's name is extends levant, meaning extended run away, and this absence is basically an extended run-away, probably just a coincidence
The fact of it being his last upload implies that he/she wants to get out of this world while he/she still can.

Man I used to frequent this channel almost daily back in 2012-2013 to listen to these gems. Hope you doing alright bro, there really isn't another channel that does chiptune archiving as good as yours. At least that I know of...

Reclusive Lemming, I only just learned of you through a streamer on twitch today who runs your chiptune compilation in the background while he plays kerbal. Goes by the name of DasValdez. I really hope you make one hell of a comeback one day and make it big on this stuff. It's great! Reminds me of a song I listen to once in a while called Follin's Journey. Same feel. Had a hit of monster nostalgia there.

I used the version that was used for the album to ensure I didn't do anything undesired (for those wondering, HertzDevil has requested to not stereo mix, or to keep it to a minimum). I feel rather lazy for not doing anything. The upside is that I could get it online today as opposed to in several weeks/months though.

This is probably my favorite out of all the uploads. There's so much unique character to the song.

he's gathered all kinds of chiptunes, all very well mastered and output to the channel at very high quality.
when people look for the simplistic, synthetic sounding tunes, this channel in one of the first on the list.

Wow. I just found this channel today and I noticed it was not updated in over 4 years. I hope this person is alright. People think he is dead but I doubt it even though the odds point that way. No youtuber with 22k subscribers would just forget about it and leave.

Anyway, I'm still routinely blown away by how music capable the NES is.
There's a very real chance this song would go over the small memory limit for audio in an NES cartridge. With some clever compression, however, it might be able to fit.

Guys I'm sorry to announce that it's not the first time for me that a youtuber goes unactive because he passed away. In the skate 3 community, a popular tutorial youtuber was unactive for 2 years and a guy who made new about the game said that he dies and put the police report in the description. Either way, I hope he's not dead and simply hasn't uploaded. Maybe he moved on to something else.
He's still around, he made a few small commits to his 0cc github thing recently

Best new chiptune I've heard in a while, and done within pretty tight constraints besides. Also, I wonder if the Extends in the title is used in the Java/C# sense; inheritance from the Levant civilization, IE where modern humans originated? Some very, very cool stuff.

Uh, modern humans came from the Rift valley in Africa, not the Levant. Levantine cultures are like Syria, Israel, etc.
