      Glad to hear it helped. Was the knot close to your spine in the upper part of neck? I’ve been dealing with this for a couple months too and of course first thing that comes to mind is a malignant mass.

      @@77sergiocon I’ve actually had a mri done now on my head and neck it all started playing golf felt like I had pulled my neck and couldn’t move it for 4 days really then found like ball after few months of playing more golf once it had healed then just kept getting headaches as the day went on and I moved my neck more just in day to day life once headache come on it wouldn’t go unless took paracetamol thank you any advice would be grateful it’s a lot better now but still Happens if I play golf or over exert it the ball was quite soft but hard at same time but once I done this it got smaller and released it but it did come back but this helped everytime I had flare up

      If it happens with golf it might be something your neck is doing with that activity. Have you got your golf swing checked out by a sports physical therapist?

      @@nlpt I actually haven’t so I will need to do it as I could be swinging wrong or moving my neck way I shouldn’t etc really appreciate you’re help I’m hoping the mri scan I had comes back soon so it sheds some more light on it. I have feeling it also could be my sinuses as well do you know if that causes neck pain and clicking?

    What if I have a ball in that exact area and it's hard is that considered a stress knot

    • @nlpt
      @nlpt  3 місяці тому

      Many reasons why you might get a knot there. Stress can definitely be one of those reasons. The deeper question is: what do you to manage stress if that’s causing the knot?

      Make sure to be well hydrated, and drink lots of water while doing this. Important to remember that even mild dehydration can be a migraine trigger.

    • @nortega161
      @nortega161 5 місяців тому +1

      It also triggers symptoms for me but I know I’m not hydrated. So I plan to sleep it off and keep doing it to reduce that knot.

    • @nlpt

      If you keep getting knots it could also be from your posture.
