This was a great match! Possibly one of my personal favorites! I do like how both monsters were going all out with their AOE attacks. I’m the end, Shagaru wasn’t constantly on Valstrax’s ass enough, and allowed the Crimson Glow to execute its strongest attacks. I hope we get to see Scorned vs any Elder Dragon soon

I wish there was either a mode or maybe a separate game dedicated to setting up fights like this. They are just so satisfying to watch and I’m glad you’re literally the only one who does content like this 😄
I was so happy when they brought back valstrax in rise he really did deserve it for being such a iconic monster in gen ultimate and so did all the other returning monsters what a amazing video
This was quite the surprise to show up on my recommended feed, I’ll say that much. I’m constantly amazed at how these mishmashed fights continue to turn out so wonderfully with every new match. The mostly-accurate hunter/monster tracking in this game also lends itself well here in that aspect. The fight itself was so satisfying to watch, especially so with both Elder Dragons enraged and firing off countless AOE Frenzy and Dragon Element explosions throughout the area. I’m definitely carrying my fair amount of bias towards CG Valstrax, but Shagaru Magala has certainly left a great impact on me as my greatest roadblock towards beginning Sunbreak’s endgame just as much as Valstrax had impacted me and ignited my drive for the series back in MHGU(demo Valstrax does not care for your well-being, only your demise).

Cool stuff! Though I think realistically, valstrax has many options to cheese Shagaru Magala. Such as dashing, keeping its distance, focusing on projectiles. Valstrax's one major weakness could be said to be its need to intake large amounts of oxygen before it can fly and do its major attacks. That all said, its ability to ambush foes from the sky and *SLAM* into them would, realistically, kill anything of similar size to it instantly. Expecially if it dives wings/blades-first.
Like shagaru can blow him up if he tries to do the kamikaz aim him even take his head and smash it on the ground Since shagaru is endure way more and has way way better physical strengh and as the game and lose showed simiral AP 💀🙏
Now that was an intense match! It was so invigorating seeing the back-forth on who had the damage advantage, but in the end, my chosen monster Shagaru lost if simply all due to Valstrax just having that 3000 hp advantage over it. Can't wait for a rematch if these two were to get Risen versions!

Valstrax is my favorite going into this. It has the mobility advantage and a lot of area denial paired with the laser. But then again, Shagaru has shown in its fight versus Malzeno that the precision beams from from in its second enrage can deal massive amounts of damage.Valstrax does have the major advantage of Dragon Element on its attacks, the bigger of Shagaru's two weaknesses. So I don't really see a was for Shagaru to win this. And yep. Shagaru did well, but there just was too much Dragon Element everywhere. Aiming in completely different directions didn't help either, but 2.3k is more comfortable than other fights and likely couldn't have been compensated.

I appreciated the Battleground changing from the Forlorn Arena in the thumbnail to the Infernal Springs where Crimson and Violet are initially fought, as it's a great choice and much more open spaced. It also lacks any weird geometry that could interfere with behavior or attacks so no combatant would be hindered here. Fight's alright too. While I don't personally care for the flagship Gen 4 Elders, they are a perfect choice to pit against each other and they are fun to watch.
This was exciting to watch, but Crimson Glow Valstrax won, one thing though, those intervals where Valstrax is gathering or charging energy, a smart Shagaru Magala would have exploited that opening, then bombard it with Frenzy Blast attacks, while using the down time of Valstrax to hit it with physical attacks. Epic fight nonetheless.
@Blues2Dark I think even though the fight ended witha defeat for shagaru, I think they are really even because Valstrax being a post story monster was given the stat advantage. Overall I really like both ther design, so its hard to choose a favourite here.

To be honest I can argue that crimson glow valstrax specifically isn’t a true elder dragon. The classification of an elder dragon is a monster with near perfect or complete mastery of a element (or ailments like poison, contributing to chameleos) and can thus affect the ecosystem with such control, crimson valstrax dragon energy is that potent in its body that the energy literally causes pain and severe behavioral changes to what a normal valstrax will do, so clearly it can’t even control it well yes with fallen energy when crimson valstrax flies blowing up ecosystems it can definitely affect the environment around it but it can’t even fully control its own power
Watching this exact video gave me an idea (not monster Hunter related but still I’m just making this comment to keep the thought in my mind): Watching the 2 dragons fight in an arena got me thinking: What if there was an entire game of giant monsters and/or dragons fighting eachother? Then I thought “maybe there can be riders where the players control each respective monster.” Then, the idea hit me like a freight train: Titanfall, but the Titans are Dragons, and the pilots are the riders equipped with Fantasy Weapons. Imagine a game where you’re riding a Valstrax and taking down other dragons in the air, then you hop off and it’s an Elden Ring Style Fantasy Combat with other Riders and NPCs.
I'd vouch for a game like that. Reminds me of the canceled Platinum game Scalebound, a game I was really looking forward to. If you don't know what Scalebound is, it was a game that was in development by Platinum and was going to be an Xbox one exclusive. The premise was about a guy who was isekai'd(transported) to a fantasy world and ended up forming a companionship with a dragon. Gameplay would involve exploring and fighting alongside your dragon, who you could ride and even customize.
@@firetools yep, I was both ecstatically excited and incredibly disappointed when I found out the game was a thing but was cancelled. My boyfriend and I are interested in game development tho so if things go well and I get to be as good as he is at Software Engineering, we can add this to the list of passion projects or even pitch the idea to a AA or AAA studio years from now

Now that was insanity, crimson glows onslaught definitely kept shagaru at bay throughout the fight, though shagaru definitely did a good number back with its frenzy explosions. Other than Amatsu I wonder what else could really give valstrax a challenge maybe all mother narwa who knows.
What a fight! Shagaru Magala had some strong combos and those bomblets, but Crimson Glow Valstrax was just constantly on his ass and had plenty of delayed explosions to boot! Although maybe you should have a visible Hunter (or some kind of visual marker) again. I think the invisible Hunter is making it difficult to tell where you're guiding Monsters, which may potentially make things unfair.
Valstrax had a very unfair advantage due to his health pool, which is oddly similar to furious rajangs rodeo with him, if health was equalized shagaru would slam
Thing is different animals would naturally be able to take different amounts of punishment. Pitting a bear against a wolf then giving the bear the wolf's HP isn't exactly fair is it? It's not true to the creatures biology

@Im the Catman a lot of it was really promo so I wasn't specifically planning for these fights, because at the time I didn't know how strong each monster would be. I've learnet some of the fights featured may not be as exciting now that we have a scope of how strog some of them are. However, I'm curious which one from there would you like to see?
@Im the Catman that's a good one, it's just Seregios has very underwhelming stats in comparison to Astalos. If I were to give them equal HP on the other hand, than it would be an interesting matchup.
Unfortunate, but I expected as much. Even in canon, Frenzy fails to Dragon Element. Plus, Valstrax is fast and aggressive, whereas Shagaru is slower and, ironically, more methodical.
Don't forget shagaru is weak against valstrax dragon attacks, i guess it's a good fight and the strongest won. Probably a closer fight against a chaos gore magala, i even think chaos gore can win.

Bro valstrax was my pick to win but he literally charges way too often giving free hits to Shagaru magala. Personally, I think Shagaru is much easier to beat than valstrax (which also explains why you need a higher rank to fight it) but I also have to keep in mind sunbreak nerfed these monsters, Shagaru moreso
@jhazel perez I don't know about win, but I agree it is a bit annoying it takes so long for it to enter its most powerful form, and would have done a lot better if it could power up quicker.

・素早いステップのおかげで移動や軸合わせが隙にならない
・謎のアーマーが多数存在
・非活性時は火力が低く、龍気吸引の度に長大な隙を晒すなど、弱体化が激しい
シャガル
・基本技である三段爆散ブレスが高威力&広範囲でかなり優秀
・覚醒状態の地雷の火力がかなり高い上に、バルファルクほどではないが後隙のカバーにもなる
・通常状態の攻撃が大振りで隙が大きい。爆散ブレス以外は多分ゴアの方が強いレベル
・体力が50%を切らないと覚醒状態になれないためかなりのスロースタート
・必殺技のビームが単発なせいで弱い
・翼脚のせいでかなり判定が広く、爆発系の攻撃を踏んでしまいやすい
・バルファルクの吸引を咎められるような出の早い小技がなかった

Watching this exact video gave me an idea (not monster Hunter related but still I’m just making this comment to keep the thought in my mind):
Watching the 2 dragons fight in an arena got me thinking: What if there was an entire game of giant monsters and/or dragons fighting eachother? Then I thought “maybe there can be riders where the players control each respective monster.” Then, the idea hit me like a freight train:
Titanfall, but the Titans are Dragons, and the pilots are the riders equipped with Fantasy Weapons.
Imagine a game where you’re riding a Valstrax and taking down other dragons in the air, then you hop off and it’s an Elden Ring Style Fantasy Combat with other Riders and NPCs.
I'd vouch for a game like that. Reminds me of the canceled Platinum game Scalebound, a game I was really looking forward to.
If you don't know what Scalebound is, it was a game that was in development by Platinum and was going to be an Xbox one exclusive. The premise was about a guy who was isekai'd(transported) to a fantasy world and ended up forming a companionship with a dragon. Gameplay would involve exploring and fighting alongside your dragon, who you could ride and even customize.
@@firetools yep, I was both ecstatically excited and incredibly disappointed when I found out the game was a thing but was cancelled. My boyfriend and I are interested in game development tho so if things go well and I get to be as good as he is at Software Engineering, we can add this to the list of passion projects or even pitch the idea to a AA or AAA studio years from now

Now that was insanity, crimson glows onslaught definitely kept shagaru at bay throughout the fight, though shagaru definitely did a good number back with its frenzy explosions. Other than Amatsu I wonder what else could really give valstrax a challenge maybe all mother narwa who knows.

What a fight! Shagaru Magala had some strong combos and those bomblets, but Crimson Glow Valstrax was just constantly on his ass and had plenty of delayed explosions to boot! Although maybe you should have a visible Hunter (or some kind of visual marker) again. I think the invisible Hunter is making it difficult to tell where you're guiding Monsters, which may potentially make things unfair.

@Im the Catman a lot of it was really promo so I wasn't specifically planning for these fights, because at the time I didn't know how strong each monster would be. I've learnet some of the fights featured may not be as exciting now that we have a scope of how strog some of them are. However, I'm curious which one from there would you like to see?

@Im the Catman that's a good one, it's just Seregios has very underwhelming stats in comparison to Astalos. If I were to give them equal HP on the other hand, than it would be an interesting matchup.
Unfortunate, but I expected as much. Even in canon, Frenzy fails to Dragon Element. Plus, Valstrax is fast and aggressive, whereas Shagaru is slower and, ironically, more methodical.

激ラーとは違ってすぐにバルファルクを怯ませられることがシャガルは容易にできない為か、バルファルクにすぐチャージさせてしまったのが大きな敗因だろう。怒り状態であればシャガルマガラを早さとコンボの効いた攻撃で中々押せていた。このバトルを見る限りはシャガルマガラにはスピード&テクニックと強力な多段攻撃を持ち合わせたモンスターであれば勝てるようだ。

@jhazel perez I don't know about win, but I agree it is a bit annoying it takes so long for it to enter its most powerful form, and would have done a lot better if it could power up quicker.
