Panzanella Salad

- Panzanella salads really do highlight the warmer seasons with a bounty of tomatoes and veg from the garden as well as a "healthy" dose of toasty carbs. There's lots of fun ways to add to this and I would highly recommend playing around with it to your liking. Burrata & a vinegar gastrique are really nice if you wanna go that route. I hope you enjoyed the recipe and drop a comment!
Ingredients:
3-4 ripe campari tomatoes
2 cucumbers
1 thick slice sourdough bread
2-3 tbsp balsamic vinegar
2-3 tbsp olive oil
garlic clove
1 tbsp Italian seasoning
2 tbsp torn parsley
2 tbsp torn basil

Personally, as an Italian, I don't care what you call it..... it's a beautiful salad & I can almost taste those flavors.🥰😋
So, I gather that you're familiar with this phrase..."I'm NOT yelling! I'm Italian!" LOL! I have a friend who grew up with a Spanish/African mother, and an Italian father.... Lord.... THE VOLUME IN THAT HOUSE!!!!!
Perfect to serve now in these extreme heat craving for lighter meals thanks ❤
With roots in the Tuscan countryside, panzanella's name is said to be a mashup of the Italian words for bread and soup bowl, pane and zanella
This looks amazing! Can't wait to try it myself.
Fresh vegetable season is the best.
YUM-O! I found a Buffalo Mozzarella for this salad the other day! I love this in the summertime! I normally do my pieces smaller though. And I have more bread to soak up the juices! I'd still LOVE to see a Kentucky Hot Brown Sandwich, too!
Looks like a relatively hardy salad, but very doable since it requires no meat, which I don't always have on hand. Those big, seasoned, oily chunks of sourdough give it some chew and substance, while savoring the tomatoes and cucumbers. Love the chicken talking.
I agree .... the toast is still crispy, not soaked.... please do another garden tour, including your chicken coop.... last time you gave a tour your gardens were beautiful... thanks for what you do...
I was like, "aw, cute dog! ... wait, is that a cat? ... Wait a minute... is that a chicken?!" 😂
Another solid recipe! Thanks Byron
Tasty looking salad. Those tomatoes are bursting with colour. Cheers, Byron! 👍🏻👍🏻✌️
so good thank you!@@@
Byron , those tomatoes, and cucumbers look incredibly fresh, did you grow them? Sour dough oh ya! love this Panzanella salad recipe! old subscriber to your channel stay connected!

I still make your chicken noodle soup from years ago!!!!! 😁
😋😋😍😍
As an italian, this dish is more like a bruschetta/caprese recipe. My friends from Tuscany would be mad at you if you call this dish panzanella.
This is Americanized version of panzanella 😂 as good!! Nobody should be mad.
Salad looks so yum, but bread does not look like a sourdough bread at all. Looks like a cheap conventional store bought cheap bread, not sourdough! Lastly, the olive oil! For salad like this, you need a nice expensive Italian 100% olive oil! the color of the olive oil that you used is so orange and shows it is a bad quality one.
I'm sorry, where is the link to your channel? Sigh! There's always ONE! 🙄
I'd let you toss my panzanella salad, Byron.
