    Hey @Palm Beach Dyno , love your videos and great content! Just a suggestion. Could you guys put the dyno graphs up in the video a different way? Sometimes it's difficult to see the graph on a TV from this angle (only really on mobile devices). Maybe just display peak numbers at the end. Thanks!

    920hp to the crank with 12% loss. That's insane.

    • @danmyers9372
      @danmyers9372 4 роки тому +16

      Vanneker - From early numbers seen I don’t think the DCT drivetrain is seeing a 12% power loss. It appears the loss may be closer to 10%. That still means the engine is making around 900 HP with only a pulley swap, time and E 85. Incredible!!

    • @madmod
      @madmod 4 роки тому +5

      @@danmyers9372 a t56 will sap some 14% as per factory rating. The dual clutch transmissions have more rotating mass than a traditional manual trans due to essentially having two separate gear-sets and clutches operating with one another all the time. This makes for a higher parasitic drag but makes for a more constant power delivery.

    • @NatoriousGamePlay
      @NatoriousGamePlay 4 роки тому +2

      You can't calculate power based off of percentage loss

    • @madmod
      @madmod 4 роки тому

      @@NatoriousGamePlay No, however knowing the parasitic drag of accessories/driveline components have been tested by their manufacturer as well as a plethora of personal testing. The manufacturer of the transmission states that at the rated max power, the transmission will consume 14% of peak horsepower @ the crank. If your arguing it's not something that can be tested and have an actual figure then check out a transmission Dyno where it inputs a fixed amount of torque and directly reads the output at almost any testable power level. That is how these figures are made.

    • @NatoriousGamePlay
      @NatoriousGamePlay 4 роки тому +1

      @@madmod I'm not saying you are wrong, as I haven't checked a transmission dyno before, and correct me if I'm wrong, but that doesn't make much sense to me. Assuming everything but the engine remained the same, wouldn't the rest of the driveline consume the same amount of power (+/- a few hp) regardless of how much is sent through it?
      I mean, there shouldn't be any more friction, the fluids haven't changed, same drag, etc so it shouldn't really be different between stock and modified. If it's not spinning any faster, thicker fluids, heavy/lighter wheel and tire package, etc I see no reason for it to add drag as a percentage and not a fixed number.

    I worked on Porsche for more than 12 years and I NEVER used a power tool to "run the bolts down".
    I always used my fingers, I wanted to feel the bolt going down to know if there were any problems with the threads.
    Does it save time (time is money)? Maybe 10 seconds.
    Is it worth it? You'll find a bad thread after it's too late costing you lots of time.
    If you run it down by hand then you are 100% sure that all the threads are clear and the bolts are the correct size.
