The best description I read of this match was something like;
_It was like a Quentin Tarantino film. It lasted over two hours, it was violent at times, there were some boring moments, followed by edge of your seat suspense, and it ended in a shootout_ 😁
😂🙌 Indeed !
😂😂😂😂
And feet played a major role.
@@MM-dm4xj You Sir are a true connoisseur of Tarantino films. 👏👏 Unfortunately for Quentin it was guy's feet. No that there's anything wrong with that. 😁

Why would you want to interview the losing team over the World Cup champion? They didn't even comment on the fighting, Scaloni literally praised the dutch.
We've heard enough from the Dutch side from European media after the game, enough of the sore loser excuses and virtue signalling.
This match was more difficult for argentina than the final vs france
Regardless, the match shifted in the final 10 minutes in both cases, and the final's extra time was well balanced.

Netherlands is strong and hard to beat, just like Argentina. Only the mentality of this particular team with young people led by the Star of world football: Lionel Andrés Messi Cuccittini. It was vital. The boys managed to overcome all the blows that the World Cup dealt
Football is so harsh and unkind ,the argentina boys from 2014 were indeed better , apart from Gonzalo higuain.
The 2014 argentina boys didn't conceed a single goal in the knock out stages until that one in the last few seconds in the final .
The 2014 boys would have beat any of argentina's opponents from 2018,and 2022 , including this Holland.IF THEY START ANY CENTRE FORWARD BUT GONZALO HIGUAIN.
while on the flip side this argentina team of 2022 could not take 15 mins of pressure without conceeding a goal or 2 Throughout the 2022 world cup , Holland, suadi Arabia,France, even Australia.
Special praise for the 2022 midfield they ensured no one could put more than 15 mins of pressure on the defence at a time adding to the work rate of alverez , that was the key with Messi and di Maria magic of course .
I look back at 2014 and wonder what if sabella didn't leave Carlos tervez at home due to family problems,( I think his wife was cheating on him ) .
And what if palacios or Sergio A were 1st choice ahead of Gonzalo higuain.🤷♀️. Outside those two calls sabela rest his soul and tata Martino after him were perfect .
It's a miracle Gonzalo higuain was still starting in 2018 , there should be a documentary on that or the politics behind that ,😅. I think other big nation's around the world would be like ,🤷♀️??????????whaaat .

The Durch still have a trauma of Rob Rensenbrink hitting the post in the near last minute of the 1978 world cup final. That match was even tenser, hosted in Argentina while they were under a military dictatorship, so the pressure was immense.
Four years earlier, the Netherlands lost their only final out of the three which they truly should have won. The emergence of total football dominated every country, but they bottled it 1-2 against West-Germany against all odds. However, Cruijff wasn’t able to make it to the 1978 world cup, as his wife and kids were held at gunpoint and tied up during a home invasion, so Cruijff didn’t want to leave them for an extended period of time.
Against all expectations, we were in the final as we were four years prior. Our dads always tell us that the players were in serious danger if they won the world cup against Argentina on their turf. Perhaps that is a bit of an exaggeration, idk, But it is true the Dutch boys were willing to die for the world cup which resulted in a brutal final but for us unfortunately we couldnt clutch it.
But respect for Argentine, produced wonderful players. Football is unity and respect, war without casualties. Messi has taken a bit of a bad rep in our country due to his actions during QF, but he did apologise and I understand the tension is high, and no one in our country could deny his greatness even during the match
I still remember that night.
In the bitter cold of 2°C, I was alone watching this match on my laptop. Due to the intense pressure, bad tackles and fightings, my whole body was shaking and I was drenched in sweat.
When the Netherlands equalized, I was like 'O f***, what will happen now!!!
I did not watch the penalties. I put my laptop aside and I covered my ears so I wouldn't hear the commentary. Then after 5 minutes of waiting I looked at my laptop and the Argentinian players were cheering.

This is easy to understand, cause World Cup is a thing that nobody want to lose.
World Cup is more than just a cup. All players are fighting not just for them, but for their country. So anyone play in World Cup will fight with all they have.

As a dutchie i look back on this game with a smile on my face. It was arguably the most enjoyable game apart from the final. The tension, the agression, the goals, the super late equalizer, it had everything! I also think that the agression went to far a couple of times, but in the end i still look back on this match fondly. I do think it's a shame they only interviewed argentinian players for this bit. They went too far a couple of times as well. Add to that that the media threw some oil on the fire before the game (especially argentinian media) and some questionable refereeing on both sides certainly didn't help to fight those flames😂. It's kind of a shame that that childishness spilled over to the end of the game... again from both sides.
I have to say I am not a fun of the Dutch team, but this game was phenomenal from both teams, strength and will to win from both sides with passion spilling over… what football is all about
Netherlands or Czech 2026 🏆
Man, they interviewed Argentina first because we won, and second because the dutch team had spoken before the game, especially that old coach that nobody remembers, even talking about personal stuff of di Maria. First you play, then you talk, not the other way.
@@andresramasco2479 I'm sorry, but what did van Gaal say about Di Maria before the game? The only interview I can find before the game where he said anything about Di Maria is where he said he was sad that Angel called him "the worst manager he played under" a long time ago, and called him a great player.
Also "Old coach that nobody remembers" is of course a bit dumb for a trainer that has won the champions league, super cup, the bundesliga and la liga.
I'm not saying I'm a fan of van Gaal as a person and he sais some weird stuff sometimes, but he deserves a bit more respect
@@thijstimmermans183 respect for those who respect. He said that he didn't start di maria( who was at his prime) bc he was affected by a family issue by that time, which di maria denied and even if it was true, it's a personal issue. He also said that he knew how to stop Messi and that if the game was going to PKs they were winning for sure. If that's not understimating your rival and trying to destabilize the other team players I don't know what that is. That's why Messi went to celebrate to the dutch bench with his hand in his ears, he never does that, but this time that old guy was quite rude.
