Looks like you have your hands full with this project. I would be interested if any other Wnnies of this type has the same roof problem. All that wood looked more like shredded wheat so that's telling me they probably didn't use treated plywood and putting that styrofoam in between two pieces like a sandwich probably caused a lot of condensation over the years instead of acting like insulation or a noise barrier. Great video and looking forward to your next one. 👍🚌💨
yeah, it will be a lot of work to fix the roof, but the rest of the structure looks pretty decent. hope it all comes around, but as you can see there are reasons i didn't do a full restore on it!
First time watcher, First time subscriber! Sounds great! Go look up Burndown Twinnebago... same idea and another cool channel with Twin turbo ls... I have a 74 Indian that im putting a 12Valve cummins into pull my twin turbo ls powered 88 caprice wagon!! I cant wait to watch other videos of yours now!
Awesome jobs. This one looks like you should be put to the test…..just the roof itself I’m surprised didn’t flap down if the windows were down test driving it. Great content and thank you for the sharing of knowledge and entertainment from how you make the videos. Good luck brother
Great project but I don't care about souping up this RV . Hoping you'll turn it into a great family caper . I did love the discarded avocado green appliances . At a certain point old and ugly becomes cool and retro .
Dunno why but this series is most looking forward to on UA-cam :p I hope the engine swap and drive train all works out sweet, I know it's gonna throw some quirks at you lol
@@LifeofLind I got this really cool idea to engine swap a really miserly efficient 4 cyckinder diesel engine like the Peugeot 307 engine into a decent sized pickup truck that usually hasn't got good efficiency, the torque on the 307 should be enough for majority of purposes, but I am no mechanic so I have no idea how difficult it would be to put an effecient lil diesel into a Hilux or ford truck

800 HP!!!!!! With twins....sounds like bout 1500 to 2000HP 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Look into MONSTER TRANSMISSION....they'll build you whatever you want or need!!!! Can't wait to see this thing!!!
@@LifeofLind look up KSR fab on youtube ....they run a LS 79 Camaro that puts out over 2000HP with stock bottom end and alum. heads n twin turbos!!!!!!
Here's a great read on how another guy replaced the enitre roof on his Brave. I cant post weblink, but look up "73 D18 Roof Replacement" and you'll find a great thread by "Demon" in Classic Winnebagos & Vintage RVs Forum. Hope this helps and keep going!!
I have one of those I think I can use it piles of stuff, and every once in while I actually use something from the I think I can use it pile. On the farm you save about everything because you never know when you might need something from the I think I can use it pile. Enough said🤠
Id just cut out everything past the kitchen and make a freaky looking extended cab truck id move the ac unit (if it survived the drop) up front put the restroom up further and and put the engine way further back in the frame and make the old engine bay ether a storage area or put a generator where the engine used to sit
Heyo, a new subscriber here (well, sorta new, I've been subscribed to your channel since the last RV saga). I'm really looking forward to this project and to be honest, the current exhaust, even though it's cut down, sounds sick! I just thought that you were going to take out the whole interior since this is going to be sorta like a.. racing RV? Or are you going to keep it pretty much stock, except the whole drivetrain? I don't really get this.
IF your gonna run that engine out of that truck and put on all of the aftermarket performance parts then twin turbos, I would put a fully built 4L60E in it.. Also your US flag hanging vertically beside the Don't tread flag is backwards.... The field of stars is always to the left not to the right
The first video of yours I saw was on the Barth motor home and you have had me ever since. Thank you for the hours of fun I have had watching you.
Awesome! Thank you!
You Brave, very Brave! It'll be a screamer I bet! Thanks for the look into your crazy project! God Bless you & your family.

pretty decent idea. i've thought about making it a flatbed
We are getting ready to redo the roof on our Winnie... Gonna be a pretty big job.
Not more than 70 MPH 👍
that might have been scary in it's current state
Should keep the water tanks so you can set the record for fastest shower. 😅
new goal added!

Welcome aboard! we will gut it completely to start. might ad stuff back once everything is fixed and its faster!
65 mph. 20+ sec quarter mile
thanks for being so generous haha
What????? No shag carpeting?
might have to leave some in there. it's too classic!
20 second 1/4
thanks!
you look so cute on the pink bike
I know, it's my favorite color!
Would have loved to see what the baseline time was before you removed all the interior pieces. Lol
yeah it was windy that day so decided to start removing parts
It’s faster than I guessed 😆 my guess was 35
Have you mentioned that this is your second attempt at a racing Winnebago? Technically this is V2

32 secs
almost nailed it!!
working on it!
I think a trans from a C6 Z06 will do the job.
or a tremec T-56
8 min
You should name it the Wheeliebago or Wheelabago in hopes it does wheelies. Lol.
WheelieBago it is!

just a little lifter tap after a hard backfire, seems to be fine now haha
Sure it's wood. Schredded wood with glue but still wood.
haha yeah that is true, it's still wood!
