I've had this on videocassette for years,a blue ray version with any additional footage would be a gift from the gods!
Criterion, get on it.
Music from the hell. Unbelievable good, athmosphere and great performance. I love Tom Waits since 40 years.
Now I see why him and Jim Jarmusch are friends
Tom Waits is such an experience. It goes beyond music. He is the art.
Damn this man is awesome live
Marc Ribot is one of the most underrated guitarists of all time
Agreeee
You're very much correct. He's klezmer and gypsy and blue and weird. Love that guy
bottle full of rain
... just clap your hands 🙌🙌❤
Masterpiece. Sensacional #TomWaits
Yo what the fuck! Lmao
Ribot studied classical guitar
To the musicians out there, how do you get that guitar sound thats on the solo?
Well he's in the shadow here so dunno, but Ribot's most used gear is usually a Fender Jazzmaster and a Fender Twin Reverb Amp...other than that it's just his great choice of notes and very savage playing style that's also very nuanced at the same time. Seen him in different settings from a punk band to jazz to an acoustic solo show and the amount of passion, level of musical understanding and zero bullshit attitude that he brings to the table is just off the charts.
Sounds like something single coil on the bridge pickup with the tone all the way up and a little reverb
pretty sure it's just a Fender Telecaster (he played a white one with singles and a black with hum buckers, pretty sure it's the single coils one) and a Fender Deluxe Reverb or Twin.
Mmmmmm
ASTOUNDING
