For real, it's just an alright 1st phase, and even if I believe Maliketh would be better as a standalone with more health, to say it's worse than bed of chaos is insanity
Yeah I still enjoy this channel but that was so many bad takes lmao. I feel like he doesn’t know that jumping to dodge the attacks helps a lot and that it is in fact the same boss that you fight in Caelid
I enjoy Rennala because the first time I fought her she was actually hard due to the fact I was playing an astrologer and her magic resistances are insane, then in my other playthroughs I did strength characters and enjoyed the catharsis of beating her to death effortlessly (was especially hilarious with Iron Ball)
Off topic, but did you guys get to see yesterday's Nintendo Direct? There were definitely some exciting announcements for me. I'm happy we finally have a set release date for the Suikoden I & II Remasters, and it's cool that Trails in the Sky FC is getting a full remake, as that will help introduce more people to the series. I was also hyped by the shadow drop of the Castlevania Dominus Collection and bought it last night. I've already started Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow and know I'll have a blast playing through all three DS games.
@@Cytonox Yeah, I can see that. As a JRPG fan, there were certain announcements that I'm hyped about, but there wasn't as much of interest from other genres.
Omg FINALLY SOMEONE AGREES THAT BEAST CLERGYMAN SUCKS ABSOLUTE ASS!!! I’ve always had an unreasonable hatred for Beast Clergyman, like he’s not hard by any means just insanely annoying and especially even more annoying on No-hit runs. My friends who also love Elden Ring always call me crazy for hating him but hahaha finally someone agrees. Great video btw, excited to see the top 25!
I just want to say for the record Jack that I voted for the LucasArts video, I'd wager that a good chunk of the audience knows the Soulsborne lore somewhat decently so I'm not sure why they voted to watch something they already know (no hate) but I was really not trynna put you through all that, we put you through enough for the Sonic 06 video I thought I could give you a break Anyways, now that we're entering the stretch of very good bosses I'm sure a lot of what comes up will not be much of a surprise to anyone. I don't think I would put Lady Butterfly or Sir Alonne that high (love them as I do, they just seem really simple to me now) but I am glad to see Dragonslayer Armor that high. For a guy with almost no lore or build up he really is such a mechanically sound fight and one of the most fun to learn for me. Also a testament to how good the Mohg fight is to see sewer Mohg in the top 30 overall. When it's all said and done, ER definitely has one of the strongest boss rosters if we're counting just remembrance fights, a lot of the controversy feels unwarranted to me I really did love what they did with the fights for the most part
"Hp pools that would barely move if you forced a nuclear warhead into their esophagus." This is so accurate to Elden Ring's bosses Alex. I mean i love Elden Ring but some of these bosses have too much health in my opinion.
Great video, Guys! You've done an excellent job with this series! I had no idea you could fight Dancer of the Boreal Valley early. The more you know. While I don't mind the Beast Clergyman (though I strongly prefer Maliketh as a boss), I can understand how hating one phase can bring down your opinion of the entire battle. I feel that way about the Nameless King. Despite loving the second phase, I can't stand fighting the King of Storms, so the boss doesn't even crack my top 10 in DS3. Also, I don't know if you guys have gotten to the first Prime Sanctum in Ultrakill, but that has one of the most extreme examples of this dichotomy. It contains my absolute favorite boss in the game (or any FPS by miles), but that boss is immediately preceded by one of the worst bosses I've ever faced in any game (absolute garbage fight imo). Demon of Hatred seems to be one of those bosses you either love or hate. I personally despise the boss, as I struggled to adjust to the very different combat style of the fight, and it ended up taking me 4.5 hours' worth of attempts to beat. Anyway, I'm enjoying your content as always and look forward to your future uploads!
So to see where SotE bosses landed I’ve got to rewatch the whole series when this is done? Are you serious? Couldn’t you have just… ok fine, i was gonna do that anyway
@@Cytonox Don’t worry, just a joke. I’m actually psyched that you’re gonna 1. put all these segments into one big video and 2. Include the SotE bosses. FromSoft kinda screwed you guys with the timing of the dlc release but I’d rather have the ranking series where it is now then have waited till after the Elden Ring dlc for you to start undertaking this huge project.
i didn’t say i didn’t know him i said there is already another beast clergyman (my point was adding another one was redundant and a bad choice in my opinion because i don’t enjoy fighting beast clergymen)
Only major disagree is lady butterfly up so high due to how broken her AI is if you even deviate from the main combat formula. May sound weird but that means even doing as something as simple as dodging instead of deflecting can give her a lobotomy
Man i wish you see my comment because i always agreed on your opinions but saying sir alonne has the only memorable boss theme from dark souls 2 is straight up lying, theme's like skeleton lord's, executioners chariot, velstadt, ancient dragon, aava, burnt ivory king etc... Are STILL stuck on my head despite me listening to ds2's ost around two months ago,i personally think the only fromsoft game that only has one memorable track is sekiro, with the only s tier track being the demon of hatred
Totally don’t get the disdain for Beast Clergyman. It’s not my favorite boss but it’s nowhere near bad, let alone worst boss in the entire series lmao. Also, Gurranq and Maliketh are the same being. If you finish the death root quest line before fighting Maliketh, Gurranq’s dialogue at the beginning of the fight is different.
The Souls content algorithm is fucked. Good content like this (and my own top 50 hardest level 1 bosses) is squeezed out when it contains amusing dialogue, in favour of bland generic praise or criticism content creators.
i mean i gave reasons - overaggression, poorly scaled damage, unenjoyable moveset, and more importantly hindering the experience of fighting maliketh, who alone, in my opinion, would be a top 10 boss in Souls - Jack
@@Cytonox Ok, he's my favorite boss ever and I don't agree with any of those points but all good. Sorry I missed it just seemed like you said he's awful over and over to me.

Proudest achievement in Soulsborne is beating Gascoigne 1st try on my FIRST EVER Bloodborne run. I just kinda stumbled into him and beat his ass

Good to see Pthumerian Elder finally get the credit he deserves.
Been waiting for this one to drop🙏

Also the chandeliers flattening her little ugly hogwarts children in phase 1 is awesome
