❤ Thank you for such an interesting video. Just adding the alcohol made a big difference. I loved all of them but the more 3d were more interesting. Thank you. M USA NH
I just wanted to say, because u sounded quite disappointed with that last heart piece with the blue and yellow, it’s actually my favourite of all the pieces in this video. I love all of ur work, experiments as well but I would b so proud to make and wear a piece of jewellery that looked like that blue and yellow heart with the black background. I hope my resin art will b as good as urs someday x
Thank you so much for all your hard work. No one really knows just how much effort goes into things like this behind the scenes. I have learned so much from your videos. Both the tutorials and the experimentation.
I see animals or fun little monsters in almost every piece in this video. Not in the flowers of course, but I think it’s so fun just to see what we see.
Oh just have to say how much I love you!! I love love love how " normal " you present everything and can show real truthful things that happen with resin! Just know you are truly needed in the resin department. Lol I know because i have been doing resin for about 5 months or so. I am from the US.. you really are a breath of fresh air! Learning lots from you and enjoy the bloopers if you have any because i think bloopers can be a great way for us new resiners to feel better when it happens to us or really me. Lol
My husband tells me ‘to leave the resin alone…!’ But alas, 😝. Hopefully watching your processes in this tutorial will help me do just that. Lovely work!❤
Daniel, (or anyone that cares to chime in) have you ever tried adding color to your sinker with mica powder or resin dye (no alcohol)? I was thinking of perhaps a small amount of interference powder, as I wouldn't want the sinker to override the alcohol dyes.
1. Experiment videos like this are my absolute favorite. I've been doing a ton of experiments lately and it is so fascinating how they turn out! Love your focus on sharing your successes (and lack thereof) and your processes with us. 2. I just discovered your tiktok and it is really amazing - funny, charming, and just fun. 3. You have a lot of skill and talent and I really wish you could realize that and maybe be nicer to yourself? As you note, this is all fun and experimentation - so there's no need to call yourself an "idiot" or put yourself down. Resin is fun and you are amazing at it.
Wow, thank you, I normally tell myself of but in a funny way. Yes, the experimenting is so much fun, I'm having lots of fun with UV resin at the moment, it's so versatile 🥰
I like a bubble or two, they are neat. Everyone seems to fret over them, leave them. You do great work, you are talented and good at this art technique!
I think I should watch ALL your tutorials befor I do anything. lol I did one trial and used the white sinker and yes it blobbed. then I watched a tutorial and you referred to #22 which I just watched. Any ways my granddaughter thinks I did a wonderful job. And now I can improve! Thank you so much
U r super awesome. Ty for the tutorials. I call them hurricane pendants 😂 I'm gonna try the 50 50 mix but I just need to slow down and take my time. These r beautiful and especially the rose. Looks like rain drop splattering round bottom of it. Love love love.
Great videos! I’ve watched several now. 😁 A trick for the roses, something I learned for nail art that might work for resin. Worth a try at least. Two different techniques for the same effect. First one, whichever direction you make the swirl, do a second swirl in the opposite direction, both starting from the center and working outward. Second way, start your swirl like normal, but instead of stopping at the outer edge, keep going in the same direction back toward the center. Either way, it leaves you with two swirls that intersect, leaving you with that distinctive triangular rose petal shape.
Thankyou Dan, I am new to this art, and was getting a lot of blobbing!! It was so frustrating and I felt I was wasting precious ink! Will now try again 🙏😊
Enjoy your videos. My very first epoxy project was my kitchen countertops. Doing small things now. Just not quite thing small. Never done this method. Thank you.
I love making petri dish looks. And I’ll see how let’s resin’s alcohol ink works. I do like the blobby look in some of my pieces. It makes them each unique but I do want to try yours as well. I also watched your 3d bloom video tutorial, and I’m going to try that as well! I also crochet, so I’m experimenting with crochet items and resin. All a work in progress!
Thank you, I finially got pinata inks today, did 4 hearts, panicked when there was a skin on top when I went to stir, thought I'd done something wrong, you're the only one I've seen explain that the white does that.
Daniel, thank you for telling us about the white sinkers? I’ve tried twice to make hearts like yours, the first time the acrylics didn’t harden, I waited two days! Lol! Then trying again the mix was fine , I used scales , but the white sank to the bottom and stuck the hearts to the bottom, of the mould 😢groan😢, so today I’m hoping for 3rd time lucky 😅I’ll let you all know, Daniel, how would you like a video of how not to do it?! Haha! One thing that occurred to me, was that, I’m wondering if the shapes have any influence on how the acrylics move and settle? I noticed as you were making these, beautiful!! Pieces today that the oval acted differently in the spread of the colours❓than the circular one, it was strange, maybe the tension, the pull is differentiated by size and shape? Obviously the big moulds will be very different to what we are using. I need a mixing bottle 😋I love all your videos ❤
Hello Sir, ur work is amazing. I hope after watching ur clip now i will also make this type of effect in my art . Thank you so much for this beautiful tutorial video.❤
I havent done anything yet but watched loads of video's and yours is simply the best. Your gentle, calming approach seems to make the information stay in my head. I want to sink acrylic and painted cut out afghan hounds into my work, and get the colors around them. Any ideas would be greatfully received. Could you do a video how to sink a flat detailed object into resin and still use alcohol ink with them? Thank you so much, Mo
Thank you, you should be able to do that in one pour. Push down the acrylic and then add the inks after. If the acrylic for some reason floats, you will need to do it in 2 pours. Semi fill, add acrylic, let cure, top up and add inks. Maybe do a test run first, some paints can also bleed into the resin so testing is best 😁
I think they are all beautiful, the rose was stunning! Did you end up doing another UV resin one with the alcohol inks? I would like to see it also! Keep on rockin! Luv ya work 😊
Daniel, I think you and I both paid attention in our Chemistry lessons about the same amount! 🤗🤪 You keep talking about *pigment,* but alcohol inks have zero pigment in them, because they're _dye-_ based, not _pigment-_ based. It helps me (a non-scientist) to think of pigment like stirring mud into water, and dye as stirring sugar into water. You can't easily separate out the sugar once dissolved, but you could always (if you could be arsed) eventually strain the mud from the water and end up with clear water again! So yes, Piñata's Blanco Blanco alcohol ink is not pigmented, but it is highly *saturated, transparent dye,* if that helps. 😊 Ultimately, I think you get what you pay for, and Piñata's inks are only more spendy because they're not watered down, like many other companies inks are. It's the heavy saturation that makes them denser, so they sink. Like a medium weight coat becomes heavy when saturated with water if you get caught in the rain. I think that's probably enough metaphors for today - fab video as always, and I love watching you on TikTok as well! 😬
That's why I love this, you learn something new every day 😂. I should have concentrated more in class. I just presumed pigmented white as they always seperate in their bottles 😂. Thanks for that great tip 🥰
The ones that sunk look amazing! I know it's not what you were going for but they look like eyes almost, or geodes. Going to be trying these inks tomorrow for the first time. Glad I saw your tutorial!
Can't wait to see the updated rose technique!!! Just found your channel through a resin group I am apart of, and I agree.. your tutorials are very easy to follow, the Lets Resin products are affordable, and your vioce is calming!
Daniel, can you please do a tutorial or experiment with a silicone ball mold, the round one(full ball) so we can see the effect with the alcohol inks and the different whites , pretty please ?? this tutorial was awesome, rushing to my Isopropanol and my pinata whites right now lol, gonna have some fun
Daniel thank you so much. I felt like this video was just for me! I also learned what might be wrong. I have no clue if my white is a sinker or not. About to correct that right now!! I’ll keep you posted!!
Oh man this was enlightening and helpful! I am getting so frustrated with my ink and white runnning down the sides of my little domes and covering the inside. Thank you for sharing this!
Thank you so much for answering my questions! I FINALLY made some yesterday & they actually turned out!!! So excited! Now I’ll just practice more 😁. I ended up buying sinker white from let’s resin …. It made ALL the difference ❤️ Love your work & thank you again!
What a great, informative video! It explains so much, thanks for doing it! I have resin DYE. If I thin it out with alcohol, will it act the same as alcohol ink?? Thanks ❤
Yaaay! A new Daniel video! I had this problem quite a lot with my pours. I ended up buying three different whites for different projects. I finally swung for a bottle of the Let's Resin C Deeper white, and have had some success. I should have just bought that to begin with!
Love 💕 this. I have two huge bottles of piñata blanco white so it’s worth trying I’ll go 75/25 and 70/30 to see since with the small needle tip they aren’t equal
I absolutely love watching u. U explain everything so well. Very easy. I love resin Crete but I’m not good at putting things in it a flower on it whatever…. Can I do that?.
They turned out soooo beautifully!! ALL OF THEM 💖 Thanks for all these ideas! I do use both alcohol ink, and the mica, but never seen these techniques! 😁
I can't believe I said Purple! 😂 I was meant to say that when I added the blue! 😂
😅iz ok
😂😂
Learning little by little great video thanks

I really liked the round one with the green, yellow.
❤❤❤ thanks Dan. They are so pretty
They are stunning pieces. Very cool effect with the white. Thank you for sharing ❤
I like a bubble or two, they are neat. Everyone seems to fret over them, leave them. You do great work, you are talented and good at this art technique!

Fabulous, thankyou 😊
ooowww instead of putting black behind the negative spaces.. add chameleon.. its gonna be even more 3D 😍😍
I am so excited! You have inspired me to use ink in my resin art.

You are the MASTER of alcohol inks! And I now understand what my “blobby” issue was! Thank You!!
Thanks, very enlightening. I've found that the video works well at 1.5 times normal speed.
The Neat versions are so much more interesting for me lol
Thankyou Dan, I am new to this art, and was getting a lot of blobbing!! It was so frustrating and I felt I was wasting precious ink! Will now try again 🙏😊

The heart at 39:26 looks like a winding road into a pink sunset. Great tutorial, I enjoy the experimental stuff.

Wow great detail video I am learning alot about alcohol inks😊😊
Love your videos, thanks for all the info. Try to let the rose cure for some hours than add a layer of black resin (mica)😉
Daniel, I think you and I both paid attention in our Chemistry lessons about the same amount! 🤗🤪 You keep talking about *pigment,* but alcohol inks have zero pigment in them, because they're _dye-_ based, not _pigment-_ based. There is no white dye. Blanco is some kind of pigment suspended in whatever they use that allows it to work with their alcohol inks.
The ones that sunk look amazing! I know it's not what you were going for but they look like eyes almost, or geodes. Going to be trying these inks tomorrow for the first time. Glad I saw your tutorial!
Bonjour Daniel 🌺🌺🌺j’ai ratée cette vidéo? Comment est ce possible. Allez je vais prendre des notes🌸🌸🌸🌸

Thank you, Daniel. This was an especially helpful tutorial. It looks like that C-Deeper is less blobby without adding alcohol.
I am just beginning to try these techniques with resin & inks. Thank you so much for your help! It's very well demonstrated and you helped me a lot!!
