- This video is snippets of our Egypt adventures back in 2011. We started a tour two days before the civil war broke out. When we came out of the white desert after a camping expedition we realised what was happening within the country. We managed to see quite a lot before having to be escorted my the military to a hotel in lockdown before an emergency evacuation flight to England. In Cairo, we visited the pyramids at Giza and the Sphinx and the Egyptian museum. We did a 3 night camping trip in the White Desert and stayed with the Bedouins one night and rode camels. We also did a road trip to Luxor and Aswan. We did a donkey ride intoThe Valley of the Kings, visited Deir-el-Medina, Hatshepsut temple, the temple of Ramesses III and a Felucca ride down the Nile. Footage quality isn't the best - but I am starting to upload all my older travels and adventures. As I never live long in one place I want all my memories uploaded in case hard-drives get lost etc...
Glad you got out safe - what an experience though!
Yes it was!
Why were you evac'd to England??
Maybe proximity to Egypt and we are part of the Commonwealth. Despite my tour group consisting of Aussies and Kiwi's the Australian government didn't provide much assistance.
What caused the chorea?
🤣😂It was just the vibe (...the constitution...mabo)
