I have a similar Panasonic battery (24v,8Ah) that came with an old ebike I bought recently. The charger woke it up, but it wouldn't charge. Then I opened it, it's very similar to yours on the inside including the BMS, then I charged it with an other charger but directly to the battery. Charged it up to 28v, and I dear say it works perfectly. Doesn't even heat up during charging. All of this to say that I suspect that the BMS has some programmed obsolescence built in as time is concerned. I plan to buy another BMS and replace the original one. Cheers for the video.
Watch out for that extra wire going to the output port. It may be for communication between the controller and BMS. If so,a generic BMS may not work. Let me know if you succeed.
@@plasmamac This was not my battery.I checked it for a customer (over 2 years ago). Therefore,I can't test it without the blue wire. The only info I have for you are the meter readings I took on the output terminals :- Red to black = 40.8 volts Red to blue = 37 volts I didn't test blue to black. Good luck.
There's no name on it. It's a 24v 8ah battery that was left for a couple of years. It's hardly been used so I'm hoping that it just needs waking up. It won't charge!
@@paulcokeley5179 If you send me an email , you can include some pictures. Is it lithium ion or NIMH ? If you can include a picture of the output connector on the battery , that would be useful. garethem1@sky.com

Hi , whats the blue wire signal from the akku ? 7:21 ? Thanks
It looks like it's going into the BMS.
A thermistor perhaps ?
Or some other communication with the controller ?
Hi, can you check without the blue wire ? Because i have no Akku and if i powered it from annother Akku the motor will not run , thx

Hi, been watching you repair ebike batteries. Could you take a look at mine please?
Sure.
What make of battery is it ?
Most can be repaired , but others cannot.
