I love these old radio shows. 50 years ago I drove around the countryside at night listening to them. A man can will the past to life, and relive special moments. I have, complete with details of buildings and addresses and time and weather. And later found evidence as to their authenticity. Regrets, big regrets, that could have changed the lives of dozens, bring them to life. Some for better and some not.
I used to liisten to mystery theater when i was a little girl. 1970's it was bedtime and i would listen to it with my little transistor radio pressed to my ear . It was so staticky. But i didn't get caught, or dad just didn't say but its one of my favorite memories from childhood. A Christmas Carol was my favorite. Now my grandsons listen to it with me.
Many, many hours spent driving across the Nevada desert, late at night, listening to these old radio dramas. I was a working show musician, from 1975-2002 and these programs kept me awake, on those long drives between Wendover and Reno...
I’ve been enjoying listening to these podcasts now for a while and still I carry on listening each night to fall asleep too my husband listens too now thanks again for them
I know Im asking the wrong place but does anyone know a way to log back into an Instagram account?? I was dumb forgot the password. I appreciate any assistance you can offer me.
@Ariel Krew Thanks so much for your reply. I found the site thru google and Im in the hacking process atm. I see it takes a while so I will reply here later with my results.
I love listening to these on and off throughout the day when life gets too real! I plan on listening to every single one. Thank you thank you thank you
Well it's nearly ten to one in the morning and for future reference it's the 30/1/20 and again I'm falling asleep to cbsrmt which I've done a hundred times before!!! Great episode and I love the voices they're so soothing!!! Anyway quilt pulled right up and snooze away to the creaking door and hopefully.........................pleasant dreams!!!!
Richard Krull I listened while I was in the Marine Corps going home for the weekend from Camp LeJeune NC, headed to Charleston, WV, back in 1975-1977. Love this and old radio shows.
I put on a story on with the headphones phone in my pocket and outside to water. Takes two episodes by the time I’ve finished the watering. I look forward to the quiet and peace of listening and watering thanks chilie chilly lol. My fave rite episodes have Mercedes mccambridge as guest I remember her well she used to babysit my brother and I in the 60s 💕
I love these old stories. I grew up with them. What I don't like about plays, is the way old men play the posts off young men. I noticed that when I was a child and it still doesn't sound right all these years later.
Yes, and nosleep on reddit! Yeah, you generally have to weed through a mountain of self-published weak, pedantic writing to find the good stuff. No wonder there's a scarcity of publishers in an age where everyone is a "writer" and the slush piles are stacked to the ceiling.
Chilly Sun this was my 2nd time through. Even better. I would lay odds on Martha trying to kill her husband and shot Slate instead. Good story! Thanks.
Listening from Co Durham England. Great story.

It sounds just like me, except I was listening on a clock radio. If you do not mind, where exactly were you? I was in Los Angeles, KNXam1070.

38 downvotes. But why?! Who are these people that downvote these awesome CBSRMT episodes?
Probably people who enjoy reality shows. 😒
Creepypasta snowflakes Who think a ringtone and coming outside their mommies house at the age of 20 is SO SCARY 😂
It might be due to the really irritating clicking noise the main male character makes when he talks. Gets on my tits something rotten.
Keep digging up these old gems!
I used to listen to it under my pillow when I was supposed to be asleep, lol.
Same with me Robert ☺️
giggle
I always listen to these stories when Im driving , I just love em. It's funny when they leave the commercials on from the 70s too.
Thanks again.
I wish we had radio programs like this again.

Love these CBS raido shows with EG Marshall. Reminds me coming home for the weekend from Camp LeJeune, NC 1975 - 1977, on the old WV Turnpike.

The commercials are awesome!
Great upload! I listened to the CBS radio mystery while I attended College in South Dakota in the late 1970's.

Absolutely fantastic! I've recommended these to some of my friends, as well. Wonderful thing to discover during this quarantined world.
Nice update at 3:11. Quite a pleasant surprise.

RMT for the win! Well done that uploader. ❤❤❤
Rest in peace champ!!
I believe there was a short-lived revival of this series on Canadian radio in the 90's (I think).
Muhammad Ali the new heavyweight champ. Unbelievable right in the beginning of it
That was so cool!
I wish there were more quality stories and treatments like this. now we get bad amateur writing like creepypasta.

@Nicole are you seriously trolling mystery series shows to present the Bible as an alternative?
Fn a
What the...at 19:55 I hear chipmunks talking in the background.
Yes there are chipmunk's "talking"!
Bleed through, radio noise....
Does anyone else hear the background track?
Damn straight 😀😀😀
great
So how did the other bullet hole get there??
Who regained the world boxing title?
Muhammad Ali
Muhammad Ali regains his title, in a 15 round unanimous decision over Leon Spinks, who had unexpectedly taken the title from Ali 7 months earlier.
And Muhammad Ali defeats Leon Spinks by unanimous decision. 😂
Her Voice , Haunts me .
Anybody notice the thumbnail starts to distort at the very end of the tale?
Soooo cool! Chilly put those transitions, at the end, of a lot of the early episodes.... RIP Chilly💜💛💜
I'm just trying to understand what those chipmunks in the background are on about.
@@oakmot5477 Yeah, it sounds terribly important, lol!
Anyone else hear a high pitched chatter in the background?
Wow... WTH happens???
5 days❣️❣️🎃🥃👻🎃
Yay!....Muhammad Ali I
Chilly Sun this was my 2nd time through. Even better. I would lay odds on Martha trying to kill her husband and shot Slate instead.
Good story! Thanks.
3:13
> they up...
Mohammed Ali beat Leon Spinks that night.
The low chipmunk voices in the background throughout the story makes it almost unbearable to listen to.!!
Who cares how she was murdered. Just blame the man.

Some are loaded and some aren't... Don't remember which... Kinda stupid.
Odd ending!
