I just realized among the broken up radio chatter at the start you can hear a hyperblaster being shot. That early on at the very beginning of the game and they were already maintaining consistent world building for a weapon that the player doesn't get until much, much later. I'm actually kind of impressed by that coming from Id, who at that point,was only concerned about making video games that were focused on gameplay.

@@AstonishingSodApe Did you try bootcamp? I use my MacBook Pro just for work, but I use my older Windows 10 machine with dual boot with Ubuntu fo games. I think you can also install Ubuntu on your Mac and use Wine to run windows games, but I'm not sure though. I have M1 Mac, which is not very gaming friendly :D

I can't hear any weapon being shot. I think it's just interference noise.
