Not really. It will smooth things out a tiny bit, but without forced induction there isn't much more hp a tune will unlock. Exhaust and filter might produce 10-20hp. There are no big power C8s without a turbo or supercharger.
Please show me stock LS3 that made more than 10% with just a tune. It doesn't exist. The C8 is already optimized and there's no significant power gains from a tune only. Additionally, the stock ECM is closed loop and can accept a fair aount of modifications before it runs out of headroom. The tuning package from HP tuners or Cicero is for people that want to install a different cam, forced injection, increase redline etc.
@marcsmith3881 point is the LS3 is one of the most tunable packages and the LS376/480 is readily available as a crate motor. Neither that platform or the upgraded direct injection motors benefited much from only a tune. Prove me wrong. And I own a 376/480, LS7, and an LT2. So I have some experience with the platform.

Our adjusted elevation here in Vegas is double what it is at that track (Barona) and all the stock corvettes here are going .5 quicker in the 1/8 than he is. I can hear he was using the launch control so that was not the problem, guessing he must have spun a bit leaving the line.
I’m a Bow tie man to the core, and I love what they’re doing with the C8, but if that BMW Supra came back after installing DPs, intake/exhaust and a good E85 blended tune it would be a race, GR would need a tire though.
@@bobajmo and I clearly said DPs and E85 blend tune, just a tune on 93 is good for about 80-90whp in A90, aftermarket DP with no cats and E30-E50 tune will get about 100 more whp for high 400s close to 500whp.

@@sp1pilot FYI, they stopped using the LS3 in 2013. They are currently LT2 and LT6 engines. lT1, LT4 and LT5 from 2014-19.

Got to be the slowest "tuned" supra I've seen. Mine ran 7.1@99 with a JB4 before tuned. Once tuned ran 6.7@102 and 10.7@129 in the 1/4
