He had to be the OG and step up because obviously his parents were absent. What was he supposed to do? Act like a kid and act dumb and have an even more traumatizing childhood? When you’re younger, you probably don’t even know what CPS does - and his mom already called 911 on his dad. What did that do? Nothing.
If he’s mid 30’s then this happened in the early 90’s or late 80’s. The system they had back then is different from the 2020’s now. He did the best he could for himself and his siblings.

People come to you to be their mouth to tell their stories and every detail is important to them, so therefore you should not be the judge to what important and what’s not. A storyteller should never keep anything out unless it’s too sexual or repetitive. They look up to you to tell their stories, so please next time tell the whole story and not what you feel and think is important. I’d be disappointed if my story was not told to the fullest! Esp a story like this one! The story was very interesting up until when you said, “it’s long and my storytelling time is up so I told what’s important only.” When stories are long Other storyteller breaks it into part 1 & 2 and don’t leave things out.
