Photoshop Generative Fill Tool - Get Started

Photoshop’s new Generative Fill tool is a game changer.
Let’s see how to get started with it.
Get Photoshop
First, you need to have Photoshop. It’s $20.99/mo.
Open Creative Cloud
Then open your Creative Cloud Desktop, which is the main app for managing all of your Adobe apps.
Beta Apps
In the left sidebar, click Beta apps.
The Generative Fill app may be highlighted at the top. If you don’t see it there, it will be listed as Photoshop Beta. Install it.
Open Photoshop Beta
Next, you’ll want to open the Photoshop Beta version, not your regular Photoshop app.
And you need to be connected to the internet to do this, as it must access Creative Cloud.
Okay, let’s have some fun.
Enlarge and Fill Image
Open one of your images. Or click one that you’ve already used.
To widen a scene, use the crop tool. And click and drag to enlarge on any or all sides.
To use the Generative Fill, use the marque tool. And select the area.
Then click in the Generate field. Leave it blank. And click Generate.
Add To Image
If you want to add something, use any of the selection tools, like the lasso.
Then click Generate Fill.
And type in what you want.
We’re going to do a sunken shipwreck.
Then click Generate.
Once it’s complete, you’ll have 3 samples to choose from. If you don’t like any of the, click Generate again.
Now you’ll have the 3 original and the 3 new ones.
