Owned a Pixel 6 Pro since launch in the UK, not even a year into my contract and I am getting rid of it today. Overheating when recording video and streaming to Twitch within 3 minutes! Meanwhile, my GFs iPhone streamed live video to Twitch for 2 hours no issues. I'm sad to say, I won't be coming back to the Pixels until I'm positive they have actually fixed their awful thermal issues.
Pixel 6 are facing heating issues even after replacements. Switching software features are temporarily solutions. We are wasting money on pixel 6 failure models. Heating, wireless charging, low volume issues.
If you thinking to buy Google Pixel 6/6Pro -dont! I warned you! I thought this Google Flagship will be great phone but it's not, charging slow, overheating like crazy.
I totally agree. It takes around 4 hours to charge my pixel 6 to 100% and with normal usage also it heats up like hell. I love the camera and android 13 but can't deal with the thermal and battery issue.
@@ankitaparida1988 yeah, updated to android 13 was hoping it will fix heat issues and same thing. I'm thinking to give Google phone call since it's still under the warranty. Yeah, phone takes great pictures that's about it. I miss my one plus 7pro phone.
I bought a pixel 6 back in January? I’m not sure. But perfect 8 mounts in, it’s started to crazily overheating about just 2 weeks ago a bit before update android 13. Just 8 months is totally unacceptable for a flagship. And I do agree if you gonna buy a pixel 6/6 pro now, don’t.
i just sold my third-day-of-use pixel 6 pro today. the way you describe was maybe not that convincing but it really was charging THAT slow. what saddens me the most is that this was my first ever pixel experience, this really disappoints me. even iphone 13 with 18w was faster than this 30w bullshit. and yeah dont even forget the thermal problem… the tensor chip was not it his time sadly (maybe they’ll fix it in pixel 7?). its just an overcooked exynos chip, reskinned 😂
My 6 Pro overheats when I use 5G. Turns itself off after 20-30 mins of browsing the web/UA-cam etc. The radio chip is terrible. If I connect to Wifi, it cools down quickly and works fine
@@Fix.369 agreed, the Pixel is insane with how bad it heats up. I now use a Nokia G60 5G and I use 5G for everything with no issues. They really skimped or stuffed up on the radio/modem
I hope this helps. Just sitting on the sunny deck playing podcasts in 80 degrees F and it gets shutdown due to overheating in just 15 minutes. I guess Pixel's are for indoor use only.
Not true....mine just started shutting down while recording in the house; and it is cool outside. It shut down after 9 mins of recording a channel video. Damn. Richard
Update# The trick did work, however, now that the weather is finally getting warm again. The phone has kicked up back at getting VERY hot. My next phone will DEFINITELY NOT BE A GOOGLE PIXEL PHONE. It will be an iPhone because Apple has better battery management than the entire Android industry. It's sad but it's the truth. The new Pixel 7 will not be any different.
THE ISSUE IS NOT IN SETTINGS AT ALL NO MATTER WHAT I DO TO THIS PHONE IT WILL ALWAYS OVER HEAT THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE CPU PROCCESSOR THAT MAKES IT CONSTANTLY OVERHEAT. A PHONE SHOULDN'T ACT THAT WAY. I AGREE WITH EVERYONE IN THESE COMMENTS PIXELS ARE TRASH. YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE TO DO ALL THESE DIFFEREN'T CHANGES TO MAKE THE PHONE RUN GOOD IT SHOULD BE GOOD OUT OF THE DAMN BOX.
I've had phones with like 500 mb storage left and they never over heated. The issue is with the hardware. I can feel the phone getting hot from the back .
While this is helpful and all, I find it ridiculous to be getting through all of these and becoming your own tech support after paying for almost $1000 dollar phone 😐. I'm not a heavy phone user and what I mostly do is just browse and play light games that will not even last for 20mins long but my phone gets pretty warm enough to make my hands sweaty.
Is there any other setting about the smartphone pixel which heats up fast? The first tips in the video are quite successful for Pixel 3. Maybe there are other settings you can share
First up, what was that dev options tip for? There is only ONE GPU inside the device so there also is ONE driver only thats being in use. Then the tip with almost full storage, out of words for that. And the you had the audacity to advise viewers to not play games over time (ok this argument is based on plain logic but still WTF?). The overheating is Hardware-related FFS. Flash GraphenOS or LineageOS, do the same thing and you get thermal warnings again anyway. This is why i will sell my Pixel 6 because it can NOT be fixed via Software. Do not buy Pixels anymore, buy Sonys.
I said fuck Google sold the shit pixel 6 pro and got an iPhone 13 pro max . zero problems and first iPhone I've owned and wow now I understand why people go the apple route .
I got trapped buying pixel 6 pro. Cannot stand in sunlight and even make a phone call. Overheating and disconnecting wireless connectivity and calls. Cant ever think about doing any other activities. Outside temperature is 40°c I meant. I m in Qatar.

Solution: get a different phone.
🤣
It's the Tensor chip that is causing the heating issue. It's better to buy a phone with Qualcomm Snapdragon.
The processor runs hot. It’s nothing that’s software will fix unless you are to underclock it.

AussieAnon Bro, Yes, Cellular Data, specially 5G does eat up far more energy then WIFI, that’s why it makes the phone heat up.

What about if you are having it overheat when you aren't even using it? This phone is such a piece of garbage.
Yeah bro😢
Shouldn't have to dumb down your phone just to use it. Not worth it.
