It’s a really lovely modern and wearable interpretation of a Regency hairstyle. Regency hairstyles aren’t exactly known for being appealing to a modern audience, so having something that evokes the era while still being wearable today is just fabulous!

Nice! I saw the movie with my mother just before Quarantine started. We’ve been reading Jane Austen books like Persuasion and Pride and Prejudice since it started. so I haven’t read Emma yet. I haven’t seen the Gwenthyl Paltrow one yet.
Emma is my favourite Austen! My fave adaptations are this one (2020) and the 2009 series with Romola Gerai. Don’t love the Gwyneth one but it’s still enjoyable. I hope you enjoy Emma!

I have not watched the movie yet, but this video has made me curious. Also I'm very afraid of damaging my hair because of the iron :(
Use a good heat protector and dont leave the iron on the hair for too long!

I love the sock bun and robe tie curls! I have waist length hair and all through spring and summer the curls have kept for a day or two, but now they disappear when I go outside because of the wet weather.
I'm afraid there's no way around that; once hair gets wet, it reverts to its natural state :(
Yes, if it rains on it then all is definitely lost lol 😂 But I mean when the humidity is high, it's foggy and raining on and off but the hair isn't actually getting wet. Just straight. Are there any products that could help with that? Love your dress BTW, that pattern is perfect on you 😻
The hair is still getting wet in that case, just not dripping. The effect is the same. We have that kind of weather year-round over here so I feel your pain, haha!

I'm probably in the minority when I say how much I ❤'d the old Emma film with Gwyneth Paltrow. Lol. Haven't seen the new version yet.
That's the version I grew up with lol. When I was little and my mom was pregnant with my younger sisters we would sit on her bed and watch it. Same with the old Pride and Prejudice.
