Just wanted to let you know that the Fisher house is an amazing nonprofit organisation. My son was in the army and he was burned 69% of his body by a hit-and-run driver in Arizona We live in New Hampshire When we got to Texas to BAMC. They put us up in one of their rooms for 4 months. My husband flew home and I remained in Texas for almost 2 years to take care of my son. I can't thank the fisher house enough for their support and graciousness.

I'm the mother of a wounded veteran and we had to stay in a fisher house and we were soooo thankful for the worry free expense and that the Hosp was next to these amazing houses 🏘️. As a Navy mom and Air Force wife I appreciate you so much for this collaboration. I have stayed at the Fisher House many times. My 11 year old spent 8 months in the cardiac ICU at Boston Children's when she was born. I know all too well what it's like to have to worry about expenses. I also have a brother who is a vet. I gladly donated and hope you all reach your goal. What a selfless thing you are all doing!

I made a flag using 3 12 x 12 wood shadow boxes using the back then added USA in the shadow box to have a double sided decor piece. My daughter liked it so much she took off with it. I have four kids and they are all married. One of the eight usually will want what I make.
Awww I love that! I hope my kids appreciate my DIY’s one day. I mean right now they think most of them are cool but they’re only 5 and 6 😂

Fisher House is an awesome place I spend over 4 weeks with my brother in law he had a kidney transplant He receives his wife's kidney. they were there for 3 months.

Those boxes would make great stacked gifts for the holidays!
There's alternative to buying separate stains. Get the lightest stain which is Natural then tube oil paint and mix as needed. This idea came from Kelly Barlow. She used a paint brush which looks like you would have more control.
