From the year of announcement and to the final stage of construction and year of occupants will take considerable time. Rohit is just showing the same.
New proposals are in the hand of State Government.
Britania have closed only their Taratola manufacturing unit. But they have a third party manufacturing system in Dankuni. Britania management have clarified officially of opening a greenfield unit near Durgapur.
You have meticulously given the no of units in other states. Fine. Just enquire how many of them will see the lights of the day. Majority will be third party assignment as per Britania policy.
Better get the facts before commenting.
SBI Shifting a pure central government move and state has raised her voice against this without success.
How do you expect microsoft, Google to venture here so early. Bengaluru, Pune, Hyderabad, Noida had developed from mid 1980.
I had shifted from Bengal long back and have witnessed and still witnessing such developments as of now.
Before showing loopholes of the state Government, why don't you all ask your previous generations who have chosen only Government of no work culture, strike, Bandhs and destruction of state economy.
I do not support this present Government and their operating culture.
But this step creating Bengal Silicon Valey may lead to future IT Investment.

@@amitmukherjer7464 There has been no official statement by the Company regarding a new factory in Bengal which it was trying to build since 2016 but wasn't able to do so .
Instead , they are opening a New Greenfield Mega Factory in Thirunelveli , Tamil Nadu by the end of 2024 of worth 300-350Cr .
The Durgapur was a speculative news of 2018 that never took place like any other announcement in WB .

Britannia has been working with Contract manufacturers but they are curbing Contractual Production state by state .
Here a glimpse of that 👇
2013 : It opened a Greenfield Manufacturíng Factory in Gujarat ,Jhagadia .
Opened another Greenfield Manufacturing Factory in Madurai,Tamil Nadu later .
2016 : Opened a New Manufacturing Plant in Bangalore and ended contractual production there along with a state of art R&D Centre in Bengaluru the same year .
2018 - Opened a New Manufacturing Plant in Assam , Rampur worth 170Cr at 22acres with an annual production of 60K tonnes .
2021-21 - They spent 60 Crores on Capacity Expansion on Khorda Plant , Odisha with new Production unit .
They spent on another Plant at Ranjangaon , Pune (MH)
2021-22 :- They started their new business venture of Dairy Products 🐮 🧀 from Pune with an investment of 600cr for New Dairy Products Manufacturing Plant in Ranjangaon , Pune .
2023 , December : They opened another Greenfield manufacturing plant at Bihta,Patna Bihar with an investment of 250Cr in 30acres and 70K Tonnes of annual Production .
2024 ,March :- It opened its state of art Greenfield Manufacturing Factory in 30 acres at Barabanki , UP with an investment of 300Cr and whooping 1.25Lakh tonnes annual production .
2024 :- They are opening their second Mega factory at Thirunelveli, Tamil Nadu worth 350Cr which is under construction .
Note :- WB is the only State where Britannia is relying on random contract manufacturing plant (Dankuni)
They are curbing Contract Manufacturing and opening Their own Manufacturing Plants (own & operate) in state after state .
You are sadly mistaken driven by misguiding vague articles and no work on ground .
