Hi Glenda, this is a very good video to easily change my pants pattern.
Great video. Lots of great info. Thx
Thanks for watching!
I have this exact problem and can't thank you enough for this wonderful solution - the best video yet!
You are most welcome...I'm happy to hear it is of great help to you!
This was an eye opener! How would you make the fly adjustment to pants without a dart? Would you take the length from the back waist?
Thank you! Makes sense the way you explained it and I soo needed to see this!!!!
Thank you!!! I’ve been trying to figure this problem out. I greatly appreciate this tutorial.
You are most welcome - I glad that the information was of help.
Super helpful, thank you!👍✂✏
You are most welcome!

I dont mean to be off topic but does someone know a tool to log back into an instagram account..?
I was stupid lost the login password. I would love any assistance you can give me!
@Harvey Sawyer Instablaster :)
Wow! That is great and so logical when you explain ‘the why and how’. Thank you so much. You have motivated me to start sewing my own clothes again. I had stopped because fitting was such a problem.
I'm glad to hear the information was of value to you. Thanks for watching.
i have a very full tummy and this is so helpful....i was told to do a slash and spread for full tummy but not sure if that distorts the waste line..tfs:)
This will definitely help shape the crotch properly to your curved front. Slashing/spreading can work too but it requires truing. Give this a try and see the improvement.
@@surefitdesigns oh thanks so much for reply...im a bit hesitant on the slash and spread and put of making the adjustment but will try your method. thx again, very much enjoy your channel:)
Thank you,I have been struggling with this exact problem
Eileen McCallum You are most welcome. I’m glad this video information was of benefit to you.
You are most welcome...I'm so glad this information was beneficial for you.
What about elastic waist alterations?
@Renate Letts - i'm not sure exactly what you're asking.
I,m from Thailand
Glenda--first I apologize for asking this question on a pattern that is not Sure-Fit-Designs, but perhaps it is still an appropriate question. Would this full tummy adjustment keep my pants from rolling down once I sit down? I have received my pants kits from you, and am planning to do the SAL with Joy Bernhart. I can't wait to start my fitting process!!!! Thanks!
It might, but you have to realize that when you sit, the length in the front of our body does shorten. This happens to all of us. Because you are now physically shorter in the front, the pants may still roll down in the front. Best thing to do is give it a try and see how it works for you.
Thank you!
HI Glenda, I find your video very helpful. i read and watched other methods such as the slash and spread method but my problem with this method is that it adds length to the front crotch and I don't feel I need it, whereas your method makes perfect sense to me. One question if I may please with regards to removing the extra width when straighten the front fly area- since I don't have a dart in my jeans pattern, can i remove the extra width amount from the side seam?
Hi Polly, that's not ideal to remove all the extra width that you'd add to CF...and remove it from the side seam because it will most likely dramatically change the shape of the side seam. You might try taking 1/2 the added width off both the side seam and CF, but that kind of then defeats the purpose of adding to the CF to straighten it for the acceptance of a fly front zip.
@@surefitdesigns Thank you for your answer, In this case do I assume that this Crotch alterations is not suitable for jeans pattern?
@@pollybg - not if you want a straight CF for the fly front...and not have a dart. You could experiment with a straight CF, but remove dart width as described on page 22 of the Pants Kit instruction book.
It would have been N-I-c-e to See the Final Finished Result already made since this is a VERY COMMON Problem in Women... NASTY OL' BELLY! But Thank-You Glenda for Sharing this Tutorial. I have Yet to Make My shopping. I'm trying to catch Up with all your Videos LOL and I am ENJOING Every single ONE Sew Far...LOL :O) TFS
