@@blueeyes0360 May have updated the character model. It would only take a couple of days to replace/update a character model because all the dialogue, music, motion capture, story line and pretty much everything is complete. Replacing/Updating a character or any sort of game asset (environment, guns, buildings or basically any 3D object in the game) is relatively simple. The story can't be changed easily. That takes a LOT of time.
They changed it for marketing. That was a flash back.

I know fans are upset with some of the story decisions but look its realistic. The world of the last of us is brutal and very much eye for an eye this is not Disney land. If you do something like you know who somone will be effective by that and do ...you know what. I would! I would absolutely do....you know what. Cant freakin wait to see how this entire game plays out. I heard they are playing with time lines, flashbacks and maybe multiple choice. that would be so amazing.

Looks amazing, not even biggest lou fan but def playing for graphics, music, atmosphere and overall experience.
Yup me too. And the gameplay looks engaging too🔥💯. That's the only thing I liked most about it. The combat, stealth and shooting mechanics are great. I'm paying 60$ for all them employees and developers who worked their ass off making this. Not because I'm hyped for story. I'd rather watch movies for great plots without paying anything 😂

I dig what you said about seeing the “inclusivity” first. I for one don’t see these things first. I mostly see a story with diverse characters and above average writing when it comes to ND. I too need to experience the whole story myself. I need to see their approach and how they made this all work when it’s fluid and complete.

This is what Victor Swann said in a comment about the game I thought might be important for fans of the game.
There are some misconceptions on the spoilers. I will leave all spoiler details out of course.
1. The spoilers were first reported to be leaked by an employee who was not being paid. People believed this because NaughtyDog has a history of having a toxic work environment and many people leaving the company over the last couple years due to change in leadership. NaughtyDog is reporting the spoilers came from a hacker.
2. This was not just some text leak but full blown 1.5 hours of cutscene footage from various points of the game. It also showed the person having access to developer mode which leads people to believe NaughtyDog is lying as only developers can access that mode.
3. The reason people are upset is not because it was spoiled but because the spoiled content shows a terrible plot that disrespects the reason people love these games. I watched the leaks myself and decided I will not be playing this game because it is clear NaughtyDog no longer cares about IP faithfulness. They rather inject Director's personal political beliefs executed in a Game of Thrones-esque "Subverting Expectations" but way worse.
Ultimately I recommend ALL fans of the "The Last of Us" check out the spoilers because more than likely you will be pissed off on the direction they take. Its unfortunate but $60+ is a lot to spend on disappointment.

before the game comes out. i want to go on the record. I'm willing to bet that the "sjw" stuff in tlou2 will be very very subtle. to the point of barely noticing it. naughty dog has never steered me in a wrong way. why tear them down before even playing the game? can't we just play the game and then judge it? until naughty dog gives me a bad game, i will trust them to deliver greatness. if tlou2 is anything like the last jedi with sjw and save the whales type of nonsense....then we can be upset.

From what I can tell. There are 3 groups of people who hate it for different reasons. And they kinda got mixed up.
1. SJW stuff like there being a super buffed female character and Ellie's sexuality. This one I don't get the uproar. I'm fine with it. Whether you like the appearance of Abby or not. I don't think it's that much of an agenda to have a character like that. They have been around since the dawn of video games. Chun Li, for instance, is buffed as hell, and nobody calls it an SJW agenda. So I don't know why it's a problem now.
2. Are the groups that dislike the way they kill off one character. And the rumor of you being forced to play as the other. This one I understand. But I'm gonna give the benefit of doubt and play it myself to see if it makes sense.
3. The people who are angry with Naughty Dog's practice. All the crunch stuff and abusing copyright strike. Which, in my opinion, definitely deserves the backlash.
However, one interesting thing I notice is how all of these groups just got mixed up with people who are just outright homophobia. I've seen people who straight up said "I don't want gay stuff in my games or movies, especially the one with children consumer" They see how the uproar has taken their side, so they jump on the train and speak their mind openly now. Shit is out of control, I'm telling you. Hating Naughty Dog of their practice is one thing. But to be fair, many of these angers are uncalled for.
@@Thaibiohazard123 agree with most of what you said. people just want to be mad to be mad. sometimes, they don't even know what they are mad at. i will never understand why people just want to be mad all the time. it's not healthy. i can understand after we play the game, if naughty dog stuffs our faces with sjw nonsense just to do it, then fine, people have a right to hate it cause they dont like that stuff. i hated the last jedi. but that to me, deserved my disdain. just nonsense. the last jedi was save the horses on rich casino planet which equals doing the right thing, while our friends on the ship are being blasted to death in a slow car chase scene. but for me, naughty dog has never driven nonsense into their games. never. i'm just saying, until we get a shit game from them like andromeda or fallout76 or anthem, how can i not trust them to deliver a great game? my body is ready!!

MusOyun I know quite a lot myself and although I will admit that it’s a bit of an uncomfortable feeling, I still need to see it all in motion through playing the game.
If the leak hadn't occurred, I wouldn't have read much into this trailer but I definitely feel as it confirms what I feared.

But otherwise it was good and I loved how you can pick up pretty much anything and throw it, you can crawl, take out Arrows in your Shoulder or wherever, and a couple other things as well, so overall it is a good game but the Story wasn't my Favorite! But I do hope they make a third one so we can see what happens next with everyone and everything else!

Regardless of the backlash that this game is getting, I’m getting it day one. I can understand why some people may be upset, but I’m just keeping the mindset of “ things happen “ the game looks amazing, and I won’t turn away from it after years of excitement just because someone decided to leak parts of it.

For those who wander what leaks are, here is how they look..
It is like if in 2000 James Cameron teased TITANIC 2. And till 2010 we see ROSE on a new ship. In 2010 they show JACK. And till 2020 you see ROSE running on dock and we presume for 10 years that she is running to kiss JACK........
AND HAHAH only in 2020 before release we get to know that we saw JACK because ROSE was high on WEED and she actually was running away from the shark from jaws and dies....and the 2nd movie is actually about the CAPTAIN who is driving the ship through BERmuda triangle....

Achara's perspective on character's sexuality being in service to the story is exactly how I feel. Having one potentially-trans character should not be a hindrance to people's enjoyment of the game, and if it is, that says a lot about those kinds of people. I agree that there might be a potentially extreme amount of SJW push in games and movies, but I think equally as harmful is the push to avoid content entirely because it MIGHT contain some ideas that people label as SJW agenda.
would love to see all male cast Charlie's Angels movie, maybe this is what they should do to save that franchise!

As always Achara nails it. I'm a guy and I love playing video games but I'm also university educated (not related) but what we know is that male fragility is real especially in the US. Jaby, do you have a problem with males not being dominant figures in the game or the actual content? Because as you presented your feelings/thoughts it seems very significant that you (and others especially if know UA-cam comments section) are not comfortable with non-male dominated media? When was the last time you watched/played a game that was male dominated and felt uncomfortable with it like an agenda? Probably never.
I suppose I just don’t think of it that way. I would just wonder why there aren’t any female characters if it lacked that. I don’t really feel like either has to be dominant. When Last of Us came out, it actually had a nice balance of male to female (saying this without counting actual characters) and I remember there being strong female characters in that. Additionally, I clamored to play as Ellie more, which actually had me excited about LOU2. Rumors here seem to suggest an imbalance though. Previous Borderlands games, in my opinion, seemed to have balance. Whereas now it suddenly seems to skew towards heavy imbalance. I just noticed it. There is nothing wrong with noticing something and speaking about it. I think I take more issue with pre-existing products, projects, IPs, etc... suddenly being hijacked for political ideology. Case in point, Ghostbusters. Didn’t care for it. But Atomic Blonde I was excited about. Different genres, but the latter didn’t feel like it was being political or trying to hijack something already established. Whenever I play games and there’s an option for a female character, I tend to choose a female character. Not sure what the hell that says about me, but I do know that at least indicates I don’t have an inherent issue with female characters, narrative, etc. I bought Control, Horizon Zero Dawn, Uncharted Lost Legacy, the Infamous Second Son DLC, Metroid, Tomb Raider without knowing or concerned if it’s female dominated and not concerned with the fact they are female main characters. I just want good games. But I do get concerned when there is an obvious agenda. Just feels like a bad place to start from.
@@CineDesi I get that but it seems too blown out of proportion. Like if you hadn't seen those leaks, would you have necessarily noticed or cared? I still think for many gamers it's part of their defense, innate bias as it's called, when they see something different or out of THEIR social norm. Which is why I think we need to judge after the fact and not necessarily go into it with a bias of there being an agenda. Sometimes am agenda seems to be there when you are looking for it, why do you think many conservatives have a view that all universities and media have a secret gay agenda (this though goes back to the Reagan era) and yet here we with no real agenda being evident except for large social change. My researcher brain can't help but to look at this from these angles.

My biggest question is whether or not she discovers Joel lies about the Fireflies’ failure in finding a cure and tries to slaughter him as a result of rage derived from knowing he essentially ruined all of the world’s hopes for an end the fungal pandemic.

The trailers are deliberately misleading. They know Last of Us fans are going to hate the sequel and the choices they made so they're attempting to cover it up until they've got your money. Anything you liked about TLOU is gone, almost the entire original team was fired or bullied out of their jobs with only around 30% of the original staff still working for the company. Seriously guys, don't buy products from companies that hate your guts, lie to you, file false copyright claims and treat their employees like garbage. Plenty of decent games coming out this year from decent companies.

Based on both your reaction verbally it was me who 1st told you about the leaks in one of your live streams , without a single spoiler, I only told you the News and i said N.Druckmann ain't getting no story & directing roles in the future. I saw all the Cut-scenes , then i told you. I had my "Context" but jaby who had none at all just didnt believe me and said well you have'nt played it. Why Would i F-ing send a super-chat if i just Read some Bullshit! Bullet points. I told u guys after i saw the Cutscenes. This whole situation sucks, i dont care about the reviews . I will buy it anyway but i Believe that Naughty Dog doesnt deserve my 4000 Rupees for this game. I will Buy it when the price lowers months later. Also i just found it so funny when Jaby said they should change it. I think the 1st time showed the game was in december 2016 and they finished the game in May 2020 , thats how long it takes to make 3d animation movie and Especially Games. If they have to change it now it would release in 2025. BTW 2 shots from this trailer we already saw the whole scene leaked.

@@bens808 I remember when the uncharted: lost legacy was released, everyone said it's not even a game, wastage of money and has no story and I loved every bit of it. On the other hand folks said Witcher 3 is an amazing game and I got bored of it (although I did love the Witcher Netflix series ). Everyone has a different taste and opinion. I'm not going to read up on the leaks.

I don't think gamers really care about diversity in video games. It's just annoying when it's done at the expense of a compelling story. Even more so in the case of a game such as TLoF.
But that just adds a lot more depth to her character

@@sanjaychoudhary7572 those who have played the first game have an emotional connection with these characters. Seeing them painted as villains and having us kill them is heartbreaking. Also I don't think diversity is the problem.

A third of what you said is correct when it came to the pictures assumptions lol. The rest I believe is internet hate hysteria. Just a culmination of fear and linking "bad" work environment.
Look the gameplay and environment will be fantastic, but if you loved the first game then you will be hugely dissapointed in the narrative. The thing is, if ND really wanted to go this way, they could have done it in such a different way that would have worked better.
I remember before the first game came out, the same thing happened that's happening to this game. Everyone thought they knew everything they already needed to know, thought it was awful, and didn't want it. There's a reason why everyone at ND said that you can't believe everything you see or hear, and Troy Baker said that we may think we know what happens, but we really have no clue.

Agent P well they were going to operate on Ellie without her consent and take her life, she is like a daughter to Joel and he killed them to save her life, you may not care for Joel and his death but there are a lot of people who do believe he deserved better. There were a lot of other ways Joel could have died which could’ve been much more satisfying than the one in the leaks.
