I genuinely loved her audition & found it fun & comedic. I thought she had potential; much like Amy Poehler or Molly Shannon (She reminds me of Mary Katherine Gallagher.)! I remembered her name after all these years. Mary stood out with her unique style! She totally owned the stage & knew every word. I just wish her the best & am sad that the judges treated her with such disregard. Shame.

He is about 80% white and 20% ginger. He has 2 round ginger spots on his body. His tail is ginger with a few stripes. And on top of his head he is also ginger with a stripe. He is so cute. My mom talks to him a lot, and he meows back in different meow tones🐈💞❤️. He loves to hunt. 🐈💞❤️. I hope it cools down a bit that side in the USA. Northern hemisphere getting a lot of heat waves☀️. By us a very cold winter. Thanks for putting in so much hard work and effort with your videos. 🌈🕊️

He considers her the most self-possessed teenager to ever host a TV show, and her fate after the show remains a mystery for many netizens.

What Simon said was BS. Of course she was not the worst... by a long shot. I was somewhat confused by what he said, almost like he had some vendetta with her as a person. There were multiple different issues with her audition. What she needed was to work with a professional singing coach (for maybe many years), and find a way to just iron out some really bad flaws. Yes, she had potential. It is easy to list the flaws, but she had potential. Even if that potential required much work, it is there.
Great videos and I wish all these contestants and yourself the best ❤ I remember years ago under Mary's audition video, a couple of people did say she was an actress and said that she herself said she went on idol for a laugh. One commented with a link to prove this but the link didn't seem to work. I remember someone saying she was trying not to laugh at the end of the clip, which we can see her cracking a smile. I think it's entirely plausible she went on for a laugh but I don't know 😜

It's so funny not because of her singing, she's quite a nice singer but how much Sharon is laughing. She took it really well and didn't get the slightest bit annoyed with the judges.

I once thought she talks on TED Talks about orgasm and similar stuff these years.. I thought that’s the same girl, even the hair and the voice are identical. Idk honestly.
1st, Mary had the same delusional problem as Holly Jervis - they both imagined they were such accomplished singers that they had the ability to perform in a wide range of octaves. Accordingly, both brought what they considered their best voice to the audition and got a shocking reality check. Mary seemed to be attempting her best mezzo-soprano voice but failed miserably (her lower octave voice before leaving the building was equally disastrous) while as Holly said before auditioning, her intention was to show the judges just how "big and powerful" her voice could be, which also totally backfired. Neither was trying to be comical but both came across that way to the judges - it's hard to tell if Mary had any actual talent to build on but Holly wasn't that bad, she just needed to sing in her actual vocal range. I'd bet she's still out there singing in holiday camps, hotels, or other such gigs - she's not a bad singer, just made a major error in judgment at her audition.
2nd, I question whether you've actually uncovered the real Mary Roach - her entire demeanor was totally consistent with an 18 yr old and she appeared to be intelligent enough to realize pursuing a singing career would be useless after her best effort was utterly rejected (despite what her friends had been telling her). My guess is she finished Beauty school, ended up changing her name by simply getting married, never sang in public again, and is living a very happy life without it.
@@LadyCandic You might have some strong evidence supporting your theory which you didn't share, but the main issue that would prove or disprove everything is by verifying her actual age during the audition. If you're certain about the middle school she attended, if she was actually 18, there should be a 2004-05 high school yearbook from the same area that will have her in it. If not, you could check yearbooks from previous years to see if your theory is correct - you can be sure she's in a high school yearbook somewhere. You could use the same technique with the person you're convinced is her - find out where she went to high school and simply look at some appropriate yearbooks.
@@JoanDArc77 I have reasons for my opinions but I’m very limited in what I can share because their privacy would be compromised. Yearbook searches were conducted and supported my findings. Still couldn’t pin down her date of birth but I got a general idea of her age based on education. Appreciate the tip. I don’t claim to be completely right on this one so I love that you are forming your own opinions.

I also disagree that her demeanor was like that of an 18 year old. She definitely looks and appears older and 28 would not surprise me. After re-watching her original appearance I definitely agree with you though that she was delusional and she did start to tear up in the end (sad actually) and would explain why she went dark, made good on her promise to sing, and like what Lady Candic uncovered, worked on her voice and went to beauty school but is just too embarrassed from her AI appearance to go public. That voice Lady uncovered is uncanny and sounds just like her though and I do believe she found her. I think she probably enjoys comedy and theatre and actually practiced her moves but I don't think she was trolling us on the AI episode and when she tried to pass it off as a joke, no one believed it, including me.
She came across as mentally ill frankly and without your information thats what I concluded she was, especially when she started saying she heard voices in her head, I didnt find anything funny about her performance and im not sure why a comedian would be doing a singing contest but good to know shes got on with her life at least.

1st, Mary had the same delusional problem as Holly Jervis - they both imagined they were such accomplished singers that they had the ability to perform in a wide range of octaves. Accordingly, both brought what they considered their best voice to the audition and got a shocking reality check. Mary seemed to be attempting her best mezzo-soprano voice but failed miserably (her lower octave voice before leaving the building was equally disastrous) while as Holly said before auditioning, her intention was to show the judges just how "big and powerful" her voice could be, which also totally backfired. Neither was trying to be comical but both came across that way to the judges - it's hard to tell if Mary had any actual talent to build on but Holly wasn't that bad, she just needed to sing in her actual vocal range. I'd bet she's still out there singing in holiday camps, hotels, or other such gigs - she's not a bad singer, just made a major error in judgment at her audition.
2nd, I question whether you've actually uncovered the real Mary Roach - her entire demeanor was totally consistent with an 18 yr old and she appeared to be intelligent enough to realize pursuing a singing career would be useless after her best effort was utterly rejected (despite what her friends had been telling her). My guess is she finished Beauty school, ended up changing her name by simply getting married, never sang in public again, and is living a very happy life without it.
Our opinions are different for Mary but pretty similar for Holly. Someday I’ll look into her as well, I’ve always wondered how she turned out.
@@LadyCandic You might have some strong evidence supporting your theory which you didn't share, but the main issue that would prove or disprove everything is by verifying her actual age during the audition. If you're certain about the middle school she attended, if she was actually 18, there should be a 2004-05 high school yearbook from the same area that will have her in it. If not, you could check yearbooks from previous years to see if your theory is correct - you can be sure she's in a high school yearbook somewhere. You could use the same technique with the person you're convinced is her - find out where she went to high school and simply look at some appropriate yearbooks.
@@JoanDArc77 I have reasons for my opinions but I’m very limited in what I can share because their privacy would be compromised. Yearbook searches were conducted and supported my findings. Still couldn’t pin down her date of birth but I got a general idea of her age based on education. Appreciate the tip. I don’t claim to be completely right on this one so I love that you are forming your own opinions.

I also disagree that her demeanor was like that of an 18 year old. She definitely looks and appears older and 28 would not surprise me. After re-watching her original appearance I definitely agree with you though that she was delusional and she did start to tear up in the end (sad actually) and would explain why she went dark, made good on her promise to sing, and like what Lady Candic uncovered, worked on her voice and went to beauty school but is just too embarrassed from her AI appearance to go public. That voice Lady uncovered is uncanny and sounds just like her though and I do believe she found her. I think she probably enjoys comedy and theatre and actually practiced her moves but I don't think she was trolling us on the AI episode and when she tried to pass it off as a joke, no one believed it, including me.

She came across as mentally ill frankly and without your information thats what I concluded she was, especially when she started saying she heard voices in her head, I didnt find anything funny about her performance and im not sure why a comedian would be doing a singing contest but good to know shes got on with her life at least.
