I, personally, love using the unknown perk that transfers my terror radius to the gen. I can tell you how many times i walked straight up to a survivor with out them noticing until I’ve already hit them. Managed to get a gen grab using it.
I just use PH perk for that

Survivors should get weakened when hit directly with UVX too and when it's thing retracts it should go back faster.

Only a minute in and I already love it. As far as a favorite build so far, ive been a big fan of Nowhere to Hide, Unforseen, Friends Til the End, and either Furtive Chase or Lethal Pursuer. Good aura reading, funny stealth, and also those are some of the only perks I have on every killer since i just swapped from Switch to PC earlier this year
My build has been

Jolt
Flex slot depending on what you're feeling. Maybe the clown antiheal perk if you see medkits, maybe lightborn, maybe double down on auras with BBQ. Up to you.
The adds are the OSS report and the brown one that lets you move at max speed faster after a teleport.
This is mostly an adaptation to the good survivors you mentioned in your intro. Getting the initial weaken and even an injure is pretty simple, but I swear these guys develop ultra instinct when it comes to the actual down. So just M1 it with a teleport play or something, get the Jolt, see if anyone is near to potentially ramp some more weaken states.
My favorite build so far has been Pop/Lethal/Nowhere to Hide/Unforeseen with Vanishing Box and Blurry Photo. The idea is that Nowhere to Hide is still active when you teleport right after kicking a gen, and if you proc Unforeseen at the same time, you can sneak up on people and bring horror back to DBD. Probably could use different add-ons though.
Also I adore this killer, he's just a scrunkly little guy. My main is killswitched so I gotta do something!
I think my favourite built to run so far is something with a lot of aura reading like Nurse’s or Gearhead along with maybe something more stealthy like Plaything so you can sneak up on survivors easier with your UVX attack. Plus with Nurse’s you’re very likely to get 2 people at once and that’s one of the best things you can get with your ability. For add-ons I really like the film reel that makes everyone weakened at the start, it just really helps get a bit of that slowdown right at the start so it doesn’t take so long to properly get people down. The other add-on varies but I tend to favour the game cartridge or the one that inflicts weakened when they finish a gen.
Started watching this getting ready for work this morning, watched a bit at lunch time and finishing now I'm home. Day of twoknee 😂
I like using an aura build with unknown. I use friends til the end, nowhere to hide, floods of rage, and plaything. If you can hit shots over long distances or through walls and floors you can catch survivors off guard. I find it very fun to hit mortar shots on gens or totems.
There’s also a nasty mind game you can do with the power. If you tap the power you can immediately swing without being slowed down. Survivors might dodge thinking you’re about to shoot and give you a free m1.

I like running his backpack and the unknown alien rock along with insidious, lightborn, spies and franklins for a scarecrow build and im just praying they add a scarecrow skin. Though he is rough to play.

@@scrapinator8898 he wouldn't suck, what makes him already strong in a unique way from other projectile killers is his bounce-off potential.
@@LightBoltDash no the bounce is not. Its the drop/the weight of the projectile with the explosion allowing lob/mortor shots

Tbf, I don't see you utilizing his hallucinations to their full potential.
In the first game, you had a hallucination build but went for UVX shots most of the time.
You can edge to strategically place your hallucinations to create unsafe zones for chase or place them wide apart from each other to gain more map pressure.
Even if survivors remove them, the lack of hallucinations tells you where survivors are.

I like aura reading builds on the unknown a lot works well with both of his powers
I've tried a couple of things
His teleport is very useful so things like make your choice and dragons grip can work well
Insidious is fun for a meme if you pretend to be a husk but it's definitely a gimmick
Undetectable perks work well as you'd be surprised how quite the unknown actually is
I don't have anything that works too well with uvx, I'm all ears can help with trick shots but that's really it
