One egg at a time is an old wives tale. My grandma was a famous baker in her community and she never mixed one egg at a time and I’ve been baking professionally for decades and never done it. It’s bougie and a waste of time. And then Martha Stewart went ahead and promoted it so it became a thing but it’s not a thing. It’s a gimmick. Cold Butter is good to use for thick gooey cookies 🍪 I make cookies too and I make thick , medium, and thin cookies so don't listen to these people just depends on what type of cookies you're making

I think cooking is a blend of science and art, you need the science for knowing how things work together but you are also creating something. My favourite cookie to make is white chocolate and macadamia New York style cookie, I have changed the recipe to suit what I prefer. (I always use cold butter for them)

I watched this to see the process. The cookies in the thumbnail looked delicious though. I have been wanting to bake cowboy cookies which have pecans, coconut flakes and chocolate chips in them. But I thought about adding the soft caramels that I bought to make cookie bars with into them. So since your cookies have pecans and coconut flakes the addition of dulce de leche in the middle sounds really good. That was a much better idea to me. I don't own a bakery but I do like to bake. I'm subscribing off of this recipe alone.

I used to do that, but containers take up too much freezer space. Bags are the best for large quantities as they only take up as much space as the cookies take up. I have about 1000+ cookies in my freezer at all times 🥴
I prefer airtight bags. Preserve the cookies better. Also, convenience. When I have to pull them out and use a few, I don't need to wrap them up again. At the end of the day, it's just preference.
