Gagemaker JSS NC38 Box Pitch Diameter Measurement

Gagemaker's Joint Strength System is an innovative thread inspection system for Rotary Shouldered Connections. Primarily, it introduces a new method of measuring a thread's Pitch Diameter. In this video, using an internal pitch diameter gage (IT-5104-RSC) and a location profile, we measure the pitch diameter of a NC 38 box connection.

Looks like he put it into the first groove not the second groove

Chris, thanks for pointing that out. He does actually put it in the second groove, but, yes, it is hard to tell. The first ridge actually separates the first two grooves. We will be updating all of these videos soon and we will make a point to clear up these kinds of confusion.
