@@thestutteringskater I’m an XC bike rider looking to get my first pair of skates. Can you give me your thoughts? Wheel size, 3 vs 4, and maybe two or three brands you recommend? I am just wanting to ride mostly on paved bicycle paths, for exercise/ fun. Can’t see myself doing tricks but I want durability despite that 😊
I love how you guys flow through New York from one spot to the other just having fun in the process! Your traffic flow knowledge is also worth mentioning, Amazing! Street skating genius!
Bicycle man was saved from an accident, Road worker honor was restored and Christian was credited, lessens were taught and lessons were learned, world got to be a better place
I keep rewatching this one, it's legendary. Incredible cinematography, skating and teaching (Asha is one of those rare, out of this world teachers, so good). It could be a 3 hour documentary and I would still rewatch it.
I literally watched all of your shorts yesterday. Watching you skate makes me want to get back into it so bad. It's been 26 years since I last put on rollerblades.
I love Christian's pre-emptive "thank you" that stops people their tracks lol. I would love to do this when I am more competent & confident, just so I can yell, "EY! I'M SKATIN HERE!" at cars, in my best New Jersey accent.
I can't believe there are still elevator attendants in NYC, that's crazy! I also loved how you skated past a police care while running a red light and then just went into the middle of the road and started doing a little spin! That's just taking the piss! Hahahahahaha!
Yeah, my building still has its original elevator, I think it's pretty cool. Cops have to respect flow, if they see you know what you are doing they most likely will leave you alone. I wouldn't say running red lights is "legal" in NY, but there are unwritten rules of what is cool and what isn't.
Awesome.Awesome.Awesome. I am from Munich. I´ ve been skating in Nyc too. But not on the streets. I `ve been skating at the oval in Central Park. Thanks a lot.
Love your video. People always say if you can make it in New York, you can make any where! 25 years ago, I skated these many streets, a lot of memories.
This is ‘another fantastic vid, I had forgotten about Asha’. She truly is an amazing instructor. And yeah. Your cameraman. Jeez, what a skater he is too. I am going back to skating,,,,,,,,,,,,
I hope you're back into skating now and we inspired you to get rolling. I was so happy when I showed up for this shoot and Christian was there as he was my student in 2019 and it's always so gratifying to see what someone has done with a bit of foundation building..... he's an awesome skater too with a wicked Powerslide!
Wow. I knew Asha will be in Sutter Skater’s videos sooner or later. Finding those gaps is also important when skating in a crowded skating rink. I need to stop by NYC again. Very good video. Editing is top notch. ❤
Thanks for keeping the parallel slide segment at the end. I found the mistakes I’m making when trying to learn that skill. 🙌 Hopefully I’ll be able to learn it by end of this week 🤞🤞
How are you going with your parallel slide now? Were some of the tips useful? What specifically helped you? It’s not an easy skill at all….a d everyone wants it🤣
The parallel slide is also hairy one for me too, although the way Asha provided tips it reminded me of the way I can slide with shoes on wet ground for ages. So it would mean my balance and positioning should be very similar to get a parallel slide!
Great, great, great...to see you two skating in NYC. I'm from Holland en Asha has been with us in Holland. We more 'speedskate' as you can see on my 'skateblogs' channel. If you ever plan to go to skatecountry Holland, let me know!
If you ever come to Europe I would love to see a collap with Natan Swiss Rollerschool. He does downhill and slides and as and amazing approach to teaching it.
I’m so impressed that brit can actually skate 😮. I all the time see them on this electric shitty scooters. I’ve never seen in London anyone who skates like you guys do it here, so fast and skilful.
There are loads of street skaters in London but you might not see them all the time. London is far more challenging than New York, narrower streets, two way traffic it’s hectic! Most of the time in NYC you are passing slow or static cars….. it was super fun.
All your videos are very cool. I even take my old blade for a ride. Thanks you. I just think it will be better without music, just the beautiful sounds of NY and Blades.
So cool to see the differences in styles @9:40! Asha being very stylish, almost like a ballet dancer, while Ari is pretty much just aggression
Like The Cutting Edge - the dancer and the hockey player!
AGGRESSION
I love the explanation of how you see/analyze traffic
Thank you, would love to do more of that and make that a dedicated video.
@@thestutteringskater that would be nice and very interesting ✨

The videography is amazing in this one! Great job Christian!
Asha is such a great teacher!! Kudos to both of you
amazing camera word, kuddos to Christian!

I hardly comment but I love the way she talks and skate she’s fascinating and I hope we see more of her in the future 🤙
I literally watched all of your shorts yesterday. Watching you skate makes me want to get back into it so bad. It's been 26 years since I last put on rollerblades.
Always a pleasure to watch your videos, man. Such great energy, and props to the camera guy too!
So delighted to see this! Asha is a hero and legend!

I’ve got that image in my head of you…..it’s gonna happen!
i am impressed how chilled everybody is. In germany so many people would scream at you, that this isn't a playground
Life it's a playground!
@IamtheMan1111 in Germany? 👀 Or do you mean in the US?
@IamtheMan1111 yeah, makes sense. They should build a skate lane next to the bike lanes 😜
This is brilliant, Ari. I just found your channel. I can’t believe you started skating at the start of covid, your skating is death-defyingly advanced
He was an ice hockey guy previously tho..
That was a great lesson. it showed a way of thinking about body dynamics. Great stuff! oh and your street skating was RAD
I can't believe there are still elevator attendants in NYC, that's crazy! I also loved how you skated past a police care while running a red light and then just went into the middle of the road and started doing a little spin! That's just taking the piss! Hahahahahaha!
Running reds on bike/skates is legal in New York
@@SuperSayinSolidSnek wow! Did not know that!

Yay! Was hoping to see a street skate after watching Asha's vid! Fun!
Maybe my fav UA-cam channel. There can never be too much content. Thanks Ari.
Thanks for the support homie
I just love this so much! 💖 (And serious props to the camera guy!)
Christian is absolutely Goated!
So awesome my two favourite skaters skating together through one of my favourite cities. Amazing video ❤
Skating the streets is so exhilarating! Great video, showing Asha the concrete jungle and taking a lesson.
Thank you!! So much fun
Loved this episode! Asha is a legend and seemed right at home zipping through the streets!
Thank you Billy! We had a good time and I'm so glad Asha and I were able to link up and skate
I like this so much! Gerard, thank you for sharing. And Asha, you keep on surprising. ;) Bye Lex
Awesome.Awesome.Awesome. I am from Munich. I´ ve been skating in Nyc too. But not on the streets. I `ve been skating at the oval in Central Park. Thanks a lot.
Wow!! What a beautiful video! I'd make better my skate with Asha. I love New York and I love how Asha is. 😘
I would be smiling and laughing exactly as she did while skating through congested times square... And I would enjoy it. Greetings from Germany!
I would be screaming for dear life
Love your video. People always say if you can make it in New York, you can make any where! 25 years ago, I skated these many streets, a lot of memories.
Sup Johnny!
....god the light on that pier was just incredible. Nice slides!
Pier 76 is amazing, we are fighting to keep it the way it is

Very nice one! really like to dig a little deeper into that parallel slide now and very eager to hit the Utrecht streets again!

Really interesting to watch the difference in your styles, especially with comparison to your previous vid with Joey in!

I’m missing Brazil
I was wondering if you took her through the streets. I'm looking forward to this
One of the best videos
Thank you!
Enjoyed this one. Gets my adrenaline pumping.
Loved my fellow Brit Asha’s crazy leggings and incredible flow. Much love from Creepy Crawley … about 45 minutes from Asha’s home town.
Thanks Neighbour. Come down to Brighton sometime for a skate.
